This was such a nice place, we really enjoyed it! I think it was the best pasta sauce and meatballs we have ever had! Don’t even get me started on the bread & dipping oil they put on the table. Holy cow, I want more right now! And the chef talked to use for like 20 minutes, and they gave us complimentary chocolate cake since it was a b-day dinner. A very nice experience in a cozy, nice little restaurant.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Il Sole last Friday evening and were very impressed with our experience. The food was delicious, very authentic Italian, the service 5 star and the ambience perfect for the occasion. The recent interior update is welcomed and the result a perfectly lit romantic ambience. It was quiet for a Friday night which was surprising, but we certainly weren't complaining. Il Sole continues to offer incredible Italian fare at a pretty reasonable price - it's only a matter of time before people start flocking again to this staple, once they tire of the latest Hollywood hotspot. We would both highly recommend it and will be back soon to sample more of the exciting dishes on offer.

The dover sole was amazing, definately the best I have ever had! The one odd thing about this restaurant is that you can only order wine or beer, they do not have a bar. Which could be a problem for someone who likes their cocktails but other than this restaurant is a gem. Portions were HUGE and absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend the dover sole, the burrata and tomatoes and the antipasto platter (which I have forgotten what it is called on the menu).

Our reservation was at 9, and we showed up right on time. We weren't seated until 9:30. It was Valentine's Day, but the wait still seemed a little excessive. The wine selection was pretty good. I had a very good Bordeaux blend while we waited. The food was good, not great. I had the lobster ravioli. It was a little too buttery for me. They were out of the burrata appetizer, so we had a ceaser salad, which was pretty much the same as any other ceaser salad in town. The tiramisu was good, but not remarkable. Overall, I thought it was a little average.
