Dinner at Il Segreto was
excellent. The four of us split two salads, one pasta dish and two entrees and two desserts. We all loved every bite of everything. It's so pleasant up there. Will definitely be back."

We were by the youngest people
there (mid 30's) and we sat up stairs - quieter and more intimate and had a great time. We had the artichoke and Caesar salads and the four of us all had various pastas. Excellent service and really solid homemade raviolis. Nices wines by the glass."

Reservations honored with no wait.
Friendly and attentive service. Menu varied and all dishes prepared very well. Love their food. Need to have valet service on Sundays or at least all evenings open as parking can be a problem."

We live in the neighborhood and
finally got around to trying this restaurant. We had a really wonderful evening. If you're looking for a more intimate dining experience, you'll definitely want to sit upstairs. While downstairs is quite nice, the tables are closer together and the noise level is amplified. We sat upstairs by the fireplace and it was perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious (beef carpaccio, allegra salad, parpadelle con porcini and the veal malinese) and if you prefer to bring your own wine (we did), the corkage is $25. We topped off our meal with cannelonis, tiramisu and a couple of cappuccinos. After tip, we got out at just under $200. We'll go again, but will more likely save it for a special occasion."
Dined on 1/25/2014
The DineLa menu disappointingly
did not offer a good deal. As such, we ordered from the regular menu and enjoyed our meal for only $2 more."
Dined on 1/24/2014
Although I like the fact that it's
just minutes from my home, I find it overpriced. If the prices were lower, I'd eat there more often."
Dined on 1/24/2014
Nice local restaurant . The pasta
portions were small."
Dined on 1/21/2014
Great meal, warm and friendly
service, and a nice intimate setting. Highly recommended. Enjoy!"
Dined on 1/18/2014
I don't eat gluten so I had the
Penne Romana, light a delicious . My friend had the Ravioli Burrata, divine! The pino Grigio was fresh and crisp The tables were closer together than I would have liked but the decor is lovely and I will definitely return"
Dined on 1/17/2014
I love this restaurant. Its
location makes it the perfect place to meet my friends from the Valley since I live in Beverly Hills. It is 20 minutes for both of us. I took my friend's daughter out for a congratulatory dinner after she graduated college. The waitstaff was incredible as was the food."
Dined on 1/5/2014
We would love to say that we would
be returning soon, but because of the noise level we will not. Food was very good. But the purpose of dining with friends is to talk and enjoy each others company. Not possible at this restaurant. We truly regret this as the restaurant is in our neighborhood."
Dined on 12/28/2013
Loved this place and will
definitely go back. Although they did not have my Open Table reservation, they sat me right away and everything was great!"
Dined on 12/24/2013
Service was abysmal. Nobody paid
us any attention! Restaurant was unbelievably noisy where I couldn't hear across the table. Food was completely average, and for the price, I would have rather cooked at home or gone to Olive Garden. Not recommended."
Dined on 12/23/2013
We had a very good dinner.
However, the space is very cramped and tight. I was constantly being bumped while the table next to me was being served. Having said that, the food was delicious and we will return."
Dined on 12/14/2013
My husband and I are thrilled that
Giacomino Drago decided to open another restaurant with food as delicious as his flagship Il Pastio in Beverly Hills. Il Segreto is located just south of Mulholland and gives those of us living in the corridor a neighborhood gem. As the Billy Joel song goes, thanks for making this "our Italian restaurant!""
Dined on 12/11/2013
Every aspect of the dinner was
terrific. Table ready and waiting when we arrived. Staff attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Smoothly accommodated special requests and made appropriate suggestions.. Food top notch. We especially liked the frito misto antipasto, langoustine special and the osso bucco. Small quibble: the wine list could offer more selections. Will definitely return"
Dined on 12/7/2013
this is definitely a local hangout
up in The Glen. The food is good, the tables are close and the noise lever is awful. If you care about noise, don't go. If you want a good looking crowd, good italian food, good service then go."
Dined on 11/23/2013
Thank goodness Mullholland Grill
is no more and instead Il Segretto! Food is amazing, service is too. You can also dine outside. Love it!"
Dined on 11/14/2013
WE NOW HAVE BEEN THERE 9 TIMES,
FOOD EXCELLENT, SERVICE EXCELLENT. DON'T KNOW IF WE WILL RETURN AGAIN UNLESS THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ACCOUSTICS. YOU CANNOT HEAR ACROSS A TABLE, WHICH TRULY MAKES FOR AN UNDESIRABLE EVENING."
Dined on 11/13/2013
what a wonderful location for
another Drago brothers restaurant...the place looks spectacular, with a menu that serves absolutely superb food, with pasta that has no equal. The host, Salvatore is simply charming and most accomodating...a definite taste treat that should not be missed...ps try the white truffles, expensive and sinful"
Dined on 11/10/2013
Hidden in the corner of the Glen
is a new member of the Drago family It is once again an excellent place to dine. Food presentation is excellent and service was outstanding especially on a crowded Friday night. Reservations are a must"
Dined on 11/2/2013
Too expensive for what they offer.
Need some wall decoration to give warmth o the Resturant ."
Dined on 10/31/2013
Delicious food, friendly,
attentive service. Excellent fish dishes. Wonderful salads. Imaginative menu. I will dine there again in the future. Only negative is that it is very noisy."
Dined on 10/23/2013
I have been at every Drago
brothers restaurant since Drago opened. Il Pastaio and Piccolo Paradiso are two of my favorites. This restaurant is not of the same calibre. The bread salad was really bland and did not have enough bread. It was $14 for a plate of mostly tomatoes. The chef is heavy handed with the pepper and chili oil. Both the artichoke appetizer and the uni pasta were way too spicy, and neither was advertised as such. The pappardelle with porcini mushrooms was just OK. We were so disappointed, we didn't even order dessert. The service was mostly good. The only problem was after I complained about the spicy nature of the artichoke appetizer, the waiter should have steered me away from the uni pasta which was equally spicy."
Dined on 10/14/2013
Clams with peppers served without
peppers and tastless; Dover Sole expertly boned at table, overcooked and tasteless, served with a clump of tastless spinich. Overpriced wine helped us get through the meal. Those clams were $15.00 - a glass of wine $14.00 - this is not a cheapo place . Food is disappointingly not good and there is no value here."
Dined on 10/7/2013
If you want the delicious food of
Il Pastaio without the crazy scene, noisy room and tight tables---this is your place! The pizzas, and pastas are a big yum! The lamb chops and veal milanese are also terrific. Staff is attentive but not overbearing! One of our new favorite places."
Dined on 9/9/2013
Il Segreto is located in the space
previously occupied by the Mulholland Grill. The food and service were both excellent."
Dined on 9/4/2013
I miss Mulholland Grill, but was
really surprised by how well Il Segreto did in revamping the space. My suggestions: as you are not MG- put the maitre d' close to the door--with the charm of MG we all accepted where we had to go to say 'a party of 4'. You are sleek and more modern-so I am not charmed with walking thru the entire restaurant. Next, the service was the worst. Hire 2 more waiters please. If you are truly an Italian restaurant be one--MG excelled in their Tuscany fare. Il S is more of just another California restaurant. Will I go back or recommend Il S-probably-but I hope service improves. As to the food-not spectacular-just 'good'- I will go back because it is close to my home-not for Italian food."

A+ in every way except the noise
level is a big FAIL. Conversation is a challenge."
Dined on 8/31/2013
Adorable little restaurant with
good food and good service"
Dined on 8/29/2013
From the beginning. our
reservation request for table was not honored, even though it was in the computer and had been made over 1week before. It was noisy to the point of screaming level to communicate. The waiter tried very hard to serve and make us happy. The food was not even mentionable. No taste uneven levels of heat and served in piece meal fashion. I will never go back to this very pretty on the inside spot. It was dismal, expensive and below the standard of Drago restaurants. If I could, I would like a complete refund for everything but the wine, which was lovely."
Dined on 8/25/2013
The food at Il Segreto is decent,
for example the braised clams were excellent and the ravioli was good. But the service is indifferent and slow, the portions small, and the ambience is awful. The lighting outside is like a dentist's office. Not a great restaurant."
Dined on 8/26/2013
Drago is dependable for good food,
but the noise was deafening--concrete walls, arched ceilings amplify everything. Couldn't talk with my friends."
Dined on 8/15/2013
Seriously, $147 for 2 grown ups
and an 8 year old? Charged $13.95 for kids plain penne w butter. Chop Chop Salad $16.95 and we only ordered vegetarian (didn't ask for the tuna), so they still charge full price?! Oh, special pasta for $33?! It was spaghetti LOADED with cherry tomatoes, ONE langoustine, a few teeny tiny rock shrimp and NO crabmeat? Look, I really like Giacomino, but the meal was terrible and a total insult. He really should be ashamed."
Dined on 8/12/2013
This restaurant is so new, there
isn't even a sign outside. Look for the old Mulholland Grill space. The food was inventive and excellently prepared. Service was fast and professional. No "new restaurant" gaffes here."
