An excellent location in town for a stroll before or after dinner. This latter category, however, is why we don't come here very often. While their food prices are very reasonable, the wine prices are over the top. If they gave you a good pour in a proper (Riedel crystal) Burgundy wine glass (for reds), then their prices would be acceptable. (They use the smaller white-wine glasses for red Burgundy/Bordeaux wines But you get about a 5 oz. pour and they charge as though you were getting an 8-9 oz. pour. It's always been this way, and I'm sorry to see this hasn't changed. Usually eating establishments that are open that late don't have the highest quality food, but this restaurant is an exception. The dishes were excellent, and so was the wine. The service was attentive, and the waitress was able to help my wife, who can't have gluten or dairy, pick her meal. Our palates are pleased and our plates are clear at Il Piatto. Great dining! We enjoyed great Italian food with nice aromas, beautiful plating, wonderful flavors, in a relaxing environment. Nate was an excellent server. We enjoyed our meals and we did Pulire il piatto "clear our plates" except for the generously portioned entrees which demanded take home containers.
