Our Captain, Dennis, did a great job, as well as the rest of the staff. The Chicken parm was presented almost like a pepperoni pizza, as it was rolled out into an almost flat circle. It was probably the best I've ever had. Wife had a risotto that she loved. All in all, I would recommend for a 'nicer' Vegas dinner experience. The old world dining room is welcoming and service is always attentive and formal but not overly stuffy or snooty. The antipasti you are served upon arrival are also a nice touch. Our complaint this time was that spicing of several dishes seemed a little heavy handed. The carbonara was a little too salty and cheesy. The tomato sauce on the piazzola and arugula salad a friend had were also too salty. I always get the truffle ravioli and it is always amazing. My husband has tried the veal, fish, and lamb and loved it all. Dennis has always been our Captain and his knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings is phenomenal. I have lived in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and this is my favorite restaurant on the planet. The servers were always there but unobtrusive. They knew when to be available. The specials were wonderful. The chocolate cake for dessert was outstanding. The noise level was very nice and quiet because we were outside. We walked through the inside seating area when leaving and it was noticably louder. The restaurant is fantastic! I recommend it to everyone! They serve you a "meal" before they even bring the menu...so many wonderful appetizers and THEN you must choose what to have for dinner. I recommend coming hungry to the restaurant because they take such good care of you, much like my husband's Sicilian grandmother did, offering food until you can't take it anymore! The service was attentive from the minute we sat down. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers that were brought to the table as we looked at the menu. Delicious breads, cheese, sautéed zucchini. There were many specials to choose from but we ordered from the menu. My husband had the duck with berries - it was fantastic. I ordered the veal Romana - very good but not as good as the duck. We were disappointed that they did not have the wine that we had chosen so we had to go with a second choice. We enjoyed the complimentary grappa at the end of the meal.
