My wife and I have been to both the New York and the A.C. Places and both were excellent. The captain and the waiter were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine list. He recommended a great choice for the both of us, and surprisingly enough it wasn't the most expensive. Love this place. We will be back. The service and staff are amazing, they make each guest feel important. The atmosphere is very romantic and quiet. The food is exquisite everything we order is always above our expectations. The wine list is very nice but can be pricey. The food was good but not worth the price. I enjoyed the bread and appetizers they gave you more than the dish. I got a special and it tasted as though it was frozen then cooked. The wait staff was friendly, attentive and informative, helping us select from an impressive wine list and equally impressive dinner menu. We shared a caesar salad which came out already divided, and each ordered a pasta dish. The ribbon pasta with sweet sausage and mushrooms was very good, but the porcini mushroom ravioli was positively magnificent. Our only complaint is the level of lighting. We finally gave up trying to read the descriptions of the offerings on the menu. While the restaurant is very Italian in decor and romantic, it could be a bit lighter. We have spent our last two anniversary dinner's with the Il Mulino staff in Atlantic City. It is hard to top and why we went back this time. I was not as happy with my entree and they took the scallops off the menu which was disappointed but I think I just made a bad choice this time for MY tastes. I'm sure it was done to perfection as was everything else that touched our table.....and, believe me, there is ALOT that touches your table.
They start showering you with "on the house" delights from the moment you sit down to the Grappa that ends your meal. You will NOT be disappointed, as long as you know what you are doing when you order your entree.

The check-inflating waiter was annoying, rude and arrogant, however his partner was very helpful and pleasant.
