The drinks were even exceptional! I highly recommend their old-fashioned. The only downside was how warm it was in the restaurant. Even though I had such a great meal, I was happy when I left because of how overheated me and my group were inside the restaurant. If not for that, it would've been a perfect evening. The chicken was cooked perfectly--very tender, but I think the dried tomatoes made for an overly acidic sauce. I'm not saying the tomatoes were the wrong call, I love em. But there was nothing to counter the acidity. It was combined with an already acidic sauce. Still I liked it better than my wife's choice of raviolli stuffed with butternut squash which had a rather bland taste by comparison. Best tastes of the meal were the appetizers and desert. WentEverything was amazing. Went for my father's birthday. This is our second time dining at Il Mito and it has been amazing both times. The chef delivered the food to our table and talked to us for a while. It was nice to see that a chef was in his establishment... on a SUNDAY. Even more amazing to actually see an executive chef that was answering the phone, seating tables, and delivering food. So many others I have seen sit in their office while their talented cooks do most of the work. The service is exceptional and the food is a wonderful mix of flavors for the palate. We took a couple who had never been to Il Mito before and they couldn't stop raving. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The only downside to the evening was a large party next to us that was definitely a party. This time, however, I ordered the gnocchi as I nearly almost do, and the portion was so small it was laughable. While delicious as always, I got no more than five or six gnocchi, which is hardly a normal portion for the price. Mimosas and Make your own bloody Mary bar were both excellent.(Bloody Mary's were very spicy, though.) I recommend the zippoli donuts with Nutella. Argentina empanadas were a highlight. Desserts were out of this world, tiramasu and creme brule were the best. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.
