A word from IL Mito Enoteca
"IL MITO Enoteca was born from my passion for a local restaurant comparable to those I frequented in Italy - a comfortable home away from home, where you can sip a great glass of wine, complemented by an incredible, rustic Italian cuisine.

The Cuisine of an Enoteca is the simplest of Italian cuisines, made with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients that create amazing, complex rustic flavor combinations. Our Enoteca Style menu features homemade pastas, insalati (salads) Piatti Piccoli (small plates), Formaggi (cheeses), Bruschetta, Pizza and Secondi Rustica. It was created so that you may have a big meal with friends and family, or a light snack with your wine.

We at IL MITO Enoteca are grateful for your interest in our passion for food, friends, and life. We look forward to serving you soon and getting you addicted to an unforgettable experience!"

Diner Reviews
  • "Food and drinks were as good as advertised and will definetly be back, just would look for a different waitress next time."

  • "I had only been there once before a long time ago but took a friend this time who loves Italian food and was glad that she really liked it. I did too, the food was delicious. Service was great and although the restaurant was pretty busy, it was not noisy and we could hear each other. They were pretty busy and also very hospitable. It was a good experience and I would recommend it. Lot of choices."

  • "I took my boyfriend to Il Mito because I have always had marvelous experiences, and he had been dying to try their cuisine since I mentioned it months ago. We enjoyed several dishes and wine; the recommendations were par none, it seemed like our waiter had considerable food knowledge. One thing I didn't remember was how reasonable dinner was in terms of price--Il Mito is creative and fresh and it's an extraordinary value in terms of food and atmosphere. I think we'll definitely be returning for a special occaision"

  • "Visiting from out of town I came hear based on positive reviews and was glad I did. The service here is top notch and the menu is full of interesting things to try. Some items were better and more flavorful than others but all definately pleased me. It's a restaurant they make you feel welcome and at home at. Will be back for sure next time I am in Milwaukee."

  • "To me it was just ok. My wife enjoyed the food more than me. Tables are close and all through dinning we heard the conversation of the couple next to us, which was not a pleasant one. First time there, will try it one more time to see if it will be a better."

  • "This restaurant was a recommendation from our daughter who attended MU. We dine out frequently and have traveled extensively, eating in fine restaurants all over the place. This is by far one of our favorites. We will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone traveling to the Milwaukee area."

  • "Enjoyed our dinner and drinks. Service was very good. Staff very friendly. Would definitely come back to this restaurant."

  • "I honestly don't know why it took us so long to eat here?! We celebrated our 11 year anniversary and wanted to go somewhere different. Everything was spectacular. Quality vs quantity is the key. You could tell everything was homemade; which makes all the difference. Looking forward to coming back and celebrating my husband's 40th birthday in November!"

  • "My husband and I had our first official date night this past Friday at IL Mito. We LOVED it! The food and service were amazing. My husband had a perfectly cooked pan seared Salmon and I tried the Gnoochi. Having both come from restaurant service backgrounds we have a passion for fine dinning and IL Mito delivered. We will certainly be back and can't wait to try the private cooking lessons too."

  • "I've been going to Il Mito since it opened and have never had a bad experience. The service is always attentive and friendly. The food comes out fast and is always terrific. One of my favorites."

  • "Excellent place to eat with friends or have a romantic dinner. My wife has a gluten allergy and this resturant caters to that with an excellent selection of menu items."

  • "We were a party of 4 & we all ordered different things & were all marveling on how great it all was. The waiter was very well versed on everything & made great suggestions. Would definitely make it a regular & will spread the word to friends."

  • "The food was amazing. There was not a single bite left on the table. The first bite had me saying WOW. Our server was friendly and efficient. This was our 3rd troop here and we'll be back again and again."

  • " The salmon with Blackberry sauce and the Duck were better than average. I had the Rabbit with Gnocchi and was disappointed. The dish was a little bland and the portion was small. The small amount of rabbit that I received was tough and had bits of what I assume to be cartilage. I ordered the Puff Pastry with fruit. I received a square of pastry with some sort of tasteless fruit (jelly?) in the center. On the side were a couple of strawberry slices and some whipped cream. The pastry was tough and without a knife was close to impossible to eat. Although my friends enjoyed the meal and my wife was satisfied, I drew the short stick and it will be difficult for me to return."

  • "delish, but kinda price-y for 3 ravioli. Otherwise no complaints, nice to sit outside!"

  • "Very good experience. The service was a bit slow at first, but was otherwise good. The food was all good, but the main courses were fantastic. A short but solid wine list that is very reasonably priced was nice to see as well."

  • "Enjoyed our selection of foods, lasagna, the Antipasto Misto plate with Spanish Manchengo, Gorgonzola and Brie cheese. We enjoyed our meal on a Sunday night and the evening was very low key with great attention from wait staff and very tasty food. The lasagna tasted similar to my Great Italian Aunt's and I tasted the rack of lamb which as perfect tenderness with a wonderful saucey taste."

  • "We brought our young adult children to your establishment and were very pleased with the attentive service and quality of the food. We even had room for dessert which says a lot about the nice portion sizes of the dinner. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the ability to split salads and dessert was much appreciated. Bravo to the Chef, for a job well done!"

  • "We arrived at 7:02 for our 7:00 reservation and were asked to sit at the bar. We were there for 18 minutes before the bartender came to us. Immediately upon ordering our drink we were seated at the table outside which we had requested and which had been open since our arrival 20 minutes prior. The server was also very slow. It took another 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered from the bar. No complaints about the food - it was delicious. However the wait for a table that was ready as well as the wait for service and the rather dismissive attitude from the bartender leaves me wondering if we should go back again. Hopefully it was just a fluke."

  • "Saturdays are pretty busy, so wait staff seemed a little rushed, not too attentive, but food, wine and personal attention by "The Chef" himself, Michael Feker made up for a lot."

  • "Our first time dining at Il Mito- but won't be the last! The Bartender and atmosphere were both great- and our out of the way table was perfect. Our waitstaff was attentative without being overbearing. And the food- the bread was to die for- my husband had the Special which was duck with a fruit reduction that was fabulous- I had the crab stuffed raviolie which was also very good. Highly recommend this Gem of a restaurant!"

  • "We were here for the Father's Day brunch (from the menu, no buffet - a plus). Something for everyone including the vegetarian and a kids menu entree that filled up a 12-year-old. And a Bloody Mary bar made for dads! This was our first time here - we'll be back."

  • "I took my father out for brunch knowing that he doesn't typically like new places to eat. He loved it! He was very impressed by the food choices and how incredible the meal was. He has even offered to take me back out there again for dinner. The waiter was very patient with my dad and even gave him suggestions for dinner when we come back."

  • "It doesn't matter how many times we come to Il Mito, everytime the food is wonderful. There is nothing bad on the menu. Whether it is just my husband and myself or we come with friends we have a great time. The wait staff is professional, knows the menu, has a good sense of humor and take excellent care of us time and time again."

  • "I have heard about this restaurant for a couple years, and we went for a birthday party dinner in May. We were so impressed with the food and service, we went back for our fifth wedding anniversary three weeks afterwards. Staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions, prices are reasonable, and the quality of food is amazing! They also have a space next door for cooking lessons, which I am going to definitely do. Two visits so feel, but it's become my favorite Italian food in the city. Goodbye Maggianos! "

  • "We went on a Thursday evening for our anniversary. Liked the ambiance and décor. Server was great. Made very good recommendations and was helpful with the menu. We started with stuffed mushrooms- small but very tasty. Wine was awesome, as were both dishes we ordered. We had the lasagna and a pasta special, which was fettuccini with shrimp and spinach. Even though we were stuffed, we shared a crème brulee, which was one of the best we've had. Very close to Lake Park Bistro's in my opinion. We'll be back. "

  • "Only one server at 12 noon on a friday- felt bad for the guy- had 6 tables gong at one time. Recently ate at Il Mito East for Mothers Day- while the food was good they must also work understaffed. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and while there were empty table they made us sit at the bar til the exact time of our reservation. "

Great customer service is so hard to come by, his team makes it look effortless. The food is always fresh and very good, and the service is outstanding and for that we will always come back!"

  • "My daughter and I took my mother here for dinner during our recent visit to Milwaukee. All of our entrees, Osso Buco, Lamb Shank and Spaghetti Bolognese, were delicious and well presented. The only disappointment was the Caesar Salad, which was served as a wedge of romaine with a bland dressing. It should have been tossed and could have been dressed with more flavor."
