The food was excellent, as was the service. The gnocchi's were made just like my Mom made them, and the pasta bolognese tasted like what we ate in Italy. We will go back again!

Their lamb shank is incredible and very fairly priced. Their pasta dishes are very nice as well - my favorite is the seafood linguine. The ambience is always a bit "blah" to me. Not a fan of the decor but I do realize that they have only been in the space for a little over a year and they're likely restricted by the floor plan, etc.

Il Mito does a menu brunch. The choices are extensive, with dishes from many cuisines--sort of a trip around the world idea. Ingredients are of excellent quality and the server, Luis, was very knowledgeable. Portions were substantial, and prices were reasonable. Chef Feker never disappoints us.

We are return customers it il mito. The food, service, and presentation are generally excellent. Appetizers, one was the tenderloin and the other was a combination of eggplant, olives, tomatoes, and more, were great. Our entrees were blackened panga. I found it too spicy to eat. My husband loved it. The fish was served with polenta and asparagus which were excellent. We asked for dessert to take home. It was a treat the next day to have the chocolate hazelnut cake with strawberries and a hazelnut cream. Service slowed down after our meals were served. It appeared there were two larger groups coming in that had the staff disorganized.

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened. This was my first experience were everything wasn't outstanding. The food was very good, but not exceptional. I think it was primarily the service that lacked on this visit. In times past the waiter always asked if we were celebrating any special occasion. They did not. On this night we were celebrating my wife and my 16th wedding anniversary. I must say though, he was very friendly, but also very busy. Maybe why he did not ask, or forgot. Bottom line, because of all the awesome times we have had, we will be back!

We had been to Il Mito about six weeks earlier with another couple. Then this week we came back again with the same couple. We were fortunate enough to get the same FANTASTIC server, who blew our minds by not only remembering us but remembering what we liked to drink, and what each of us had ordered for our meals the last time, and made excellent recommendations for this visit! He is really an asset to your business. I can't remember his name but he was slim and he wore glasses. He was not originally from Milwaukee. Next time we come back I hope we get him again! Best server I have ever had - ANYWHERE!

We went to Il Mito's for a relaxing dinner with friends. We were able to get outdoor seating, and it was a beautiful night. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer. He greeted us with a smile, was able to joke with us, and did a wonderful job of taking care of us. The food was beautifully displayed and delicious. We never felt rushed and ate and drank at our leisure. It was a very enjoyable evening, and we will definitely return to Il Mito's.

My wife and I have dined at the Il Mito in Tosa many times - it is a favorite of ours. Last Saturday we found ourselves downtown to see The Phantom and decided to have dinner at the Il Mito East location beforehand and were not disappointed. The food was marvelous and the service was just as good. Chef Michael Feker and his staff have established and are running two world class restaurants in the Milwaukee area.

Amazing is all I can say about our experience and food. We had the lemon meatball for an appetizer which was unique and delicious. I had the mushroom risotto which was rich and flavorful. We are getting married in September and thinking of having our rehearsal dinner at Il Mito so we can share the wonderful experience.

We had a group of 3 couples, one couple from Singapore - it was a Tuesday night so not very crowded. Most of us took the advice of our waiter and nobody was disappointed - the food was very good (the pork chops are awesome). We sat indoors because the weather looked questionable but it looks like a great spot for outdoor dining as well.

Il Mito is our new favorite for special occasions. During this visit, we were warmly greeted by staff and seated promptly. Husband had Bolognese and I had Turkey Marsala. The leek soup is not to be missed, and anything with polenta is out of this world. Everything here is fresh and expertly prepared. Great wine and bar selections. I say this restaurant is kid-friendly, because we had our teenagers with us, and there were a couple other families along with a typical upscale restaurant crowd. But it is a very quiet atmosphere, very low-key, and special without being uptight or too formal. I wouldn't have brought our kids when they were toddlers. Service is impeccable. Thank you Craig H for your attentiveness and professionalism.

This was our first visit to Il Mito East, although we've eaten several times at their other location. The menu was quite extensive. The four of us each selected a different salad to start our meal. While they were all good, visually they looked very muddled and not especially appetizing. The osso buco was the biggest hit of the entrees. The pork chop was tasty, but a bit overcooked and dry. I really didn't care for the overwhelming sage flavor of the linguine that accompanied that entrée, and sage is one of my favorite herbs! The tiramisu we shared for dessert was a huge piece, and delicious.

I've eaten at the Tosa location, but thought I'd try this location for my daughter's birthday, and was very disappointed. Our server talked way too long telling personal stories. We had to ask another employee to ask our server for the check. He did greet us when we first arrived, using our last name, which was very personable. But then other than wishing my daughter 'happy birthday' there was no other recognition. I would have expected some kind of complimentary dessert brought out with a candle on it - even a scoop of ice cream would have been a nice finish to our evening out. This, along with the food quality, makes me feel that I would definitely not go out of my way to eat here again, sadly.

All the street-facing windows in the restaurant are covered by signs with the name of the restaurant. Diners inside cannot see out, people on the outside cannot see in. Removing the signs would make it look more inviting inside and out. The dining experience was very pleasant. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. One of the other waiters, not ours, serenaded our table. I would definitely attend this Il Mito location again.

Have eaten dinner here three times, plus several meals at the old Il Mito and lunch at the Tosa location. Never had a meal that was not superb. Chef Fokker does a great job of ensuring consistent quality and innovation. The shrimp mashed potatoes were unique. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Wait staff knowledgable and great personality. Only complaint is that the organization seems to think that the world is on Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, you cannot sign up for some of their special offers/giveaways. Some of us do not live in a digital world.

Everyone enjoyed their meal and agreed they would return. Our waiter, Mr. Ross, even remembered me and what I previously ordered a few months back! The calamari was delicious (not too breaded), the fish of the day was also a very good choice and their twist on the classic caesar salad was refreshing. Would highly recommend the osso bucco.
