IL LocalinoGreat ExperienceWe went for mother's day brunch with our families! It was a wonderful experience. The staff were attentive and enthusiastic. The kitchen sent out extra food to our table, which was much appreciated! Overall, our mothers were made to feel very special. The menu was more expensive than I expected at first; however, the portion sizes are comparable, and in the end the food was so good and experience so memorable it was definitely worth it! Only surprise was the serving size of my dish, smaller than other restaurants. Perhaps that was a result of ordering from one of two price-fixed menus. OK by me, however, if that changes portion size it should be shared. My wife's plate was easily double the quantity, leading me to above conclusion.
The salad was excellent and the lemon tart after the meal incredible.
All in all, excellent experience. Overall the ambiance and the food were simply amazing; however it was the attentiveness of the staff that puts this place over the top. I would say Il Localino is in a class of its own, but the quality of the food is fine dining level, but its relaxed atmosphere makes you feel much more comfortable than a typical fine dining establishment. Every staff member was kind and attentive; they seem to all be like one big family there. We were greeted by the owner and taken to a part of the resturant that had been specially decorated for Valentines. The decor was great and thetables, though small, were very comfortable. We ordered the special multi-course menu for Valentines and a bottle of wine from there well rounded list. The entire wait staff was great always making sure we had what we needed and our glasses were full. They did this and still we had time to talk quietly and enjoy the food which was especially good for a fixed menu.
