"Food is good, but not outstanding. It's supposed to be the best Italian restaurant in little Italy... our food was delicious but it's not a sublime Italian cuisine (I doubt this even exists in NYC); it's more of the mafia-type/neighbourhood Italian with a lot of regular customers I guess. Service was rather uninterested, but not bad. All in all I'd recommend it though."

"The ambiance and service were good, but the food was just middle of the road. My salad was a little wilted and slimy. I had the scallops, which were tasty, but a touch over cooked. Others at our table had the pasta and loved it. Overall, I would go back, but think carefully about your order."

"The food wasn't that great as expected and too pricey for the amount that they gave for appetizers.
It was a special occasion and therefore we went to just talk and catch up.
But they kept rushing us and it was honestly very rude and annoying.
It would be obvious if we were done because then we would ask for the check.
It was honestly not a pleasant experience I was expecting."

"The food was good but not exceptional. The entrees were not too expensive but the appetizers were quite high. They didn't have regular coffee on the menu so you had to get the more expensive specialty coffees."

"This restaurant offers a great reunion place. We had an awesome time and everything went great. The restaurant needs to work on their Pesto Pasta, it was disappointing. The only thing that needs to improve. Great restaurant!!! Their Tiramisu and Lamb were to die for. Keep up Il Cortile..."
