Il Cantinorianother excellent mealI just LOVE going to Il Cantinori.....nothing is EVER a problem. The food is excellent, the service professional and so pleasanr, and nothing is ever a problem with changes to the menu!!! Truly, when my 3 and a half year old granddaughter says that she wants to go to Il Cantinori for dinner, because they have the BEST gnocchi in the world, and when she arrives and is greeted so warmly by the staff, you know life is good!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent attention and food!I have celiac's (severe intolerance to gluten) and came here for a work dinner. The hostess and server were overly accommodating for me... Giving me a special appetizer alternative and making sure my entree fit my needs. It's a dream to eat such amazing food and feel safe. The service is professional, and friendly. The overall experience is so wonderful. You leave happier and looking forward to returning! We have been there a few times and always enjoyed it. The portions are not huge but that is fine with us. It is not inexpensive. The service was attentive and food serviced quickly (we would have been happy sitting longer) and it was very good and hot. My fresh mozzarella was excellent as was my special entrée Branzini fish- very light and fresh. We didn't have dessert. Did not check wine list. We had a wonderful wait person, experienced and mature with a charming accent that added to the experience of Italy in New York. And the decor is lovely- floral arrangements that are outstanding throughout the restaurant, even on the way to the rest rooms.
