The only down side is there are not many vegitarian / vegan options for those who are. Other than that its a nice location with indoor/outdoor dining & friendly staff. I would recommend to family & friends. What a perfect neighborhood, Italian restaurant! We could not have been happier, a real neighborhood feel but intimate. We chose the patio for a warm evening.
I had a delicious hand made pasta with broccoli rab and my husband had the most succulent, perfectly cooked lamb infused rack of lamb. We ordered grilled vegetables in addition and the meal was perfect with a nice barolo as a great choice. A word about the bread, "fatta della casa" , as is the pasta, with the most wonderful, real crust, served with marinated cannellini beans. We topped this off with limoncello cake that was lighter than air.

The food is excellent, the staff is tremendous, and the down home feel is wonderful. It was over all a good experience. The food was a amazing. This is one of them. I've had pasta here several times years ago (when I came here on business). This time I was on vacation. I went with a veal dish, which was tasty but not as exceptional as the pasta. First time visit? Get the homemade pasta. They serve an appetizer size flat bread pizza at the bar, that's not available in the dining room, so my wife routinely insists that we catch a drink at the bar...and a pizza...before moving to the dining room for dinner. Outstanding staff and service is their hallmark. The food is consistently great, and I find myself leaning towards the specials. We've been there many times before, and the warm and friendly staff, consistently great food, excellent service and intimate dining...11 tables + a few outside...is a combination difficult to beat anywhere. Jimmy the owner is _always_ there, and our experience there is consistently top shelf. Our absolute go-to restaurant in the Charlotte area.
