  • "Food was good, eating sitting outside on Ocean drive was great. Our waiter was either brand new or just didn't care so that made our experience a little less great. But over all I'd go back."

  • "I thought the food and ambience were very nice. I was a bit disappointed that the waiter strongly recommended a cold antipasto app for 2 but failed to mention that it was $55. While it was good, it was not that good. It was a surprise on the bill, especially since most other apps were much less expensive and we had them remove all the cheese as we have dairy allergies - they had to be reminded of that so I am pretty sure the plate that came out with all the cheese scattered on it was simply picked over when we sent it back."

  • "The food was good, albeit overpriced ($11.00 for small bowl of berries). But brunch it definitely was not. It was your typical breakfast menu of egg combinations, waffles, etc. and typical sides like oatmeal or granola. You could also get a continental breakfast. No specials for the day. Waitress made herself scarce, making it annoying to wait for silverware (after our breakfast was served), cream (after our coffee was poured), and water (was never offered). We had it eaten dinner a few nights before and it was great (and service was also very good then), so we were looking forward to going back. But this time we were disappointed."

  • "The choices were endless, so it was so hard to decide. They have a nice charcuterie selection of imported Italian meats and cheeses...very special. The pasta is freshly made each day and the options were all so appealing! Nice selection of meat and fish dishes, but my husband and I opted for the pasta. I had lobster ravioli...the lobster wasn't just inside, but large chunks in their tomato cream sauce. My husband had lasagna, made in traditional bologna se style with veal, beef and pork and baked. That was outstanding! The service was friendly and attentive. The view was the ocean....can't get better than that! We are going back for brunch. I know we won't be disappointed."

  • "We chose to eat indoors but outdoor dining was also available. The place was very clean and tables spaced nicely apart. My beef carpaccio appetizer was excellent as was my wife's salad. I had the penne amatriciana, a personal favorite, for my entre and it was made very well and was quite tasty. My wife had the seafood linguine and it was loaded with lobster, shrimp, mussels, etc. We both enjoyed our respective meals very much. We each has a glass of wine at only $10 per glass and it complemented the meal quite nicely. All in all a very good dining experience. Service was very good."

  • "Like most places on Ocean Drive you are paying through the nose for location. We had two luke warm pasta dishes that had probably been frozen and then microwaved. I had an appetizer of rock hard fried batter bits that was meant to have been calamari - again probably frozen and fried! Ok for sitting on Ocean Drive watching the cattle pass but don't waste your money on the food which is unconscionably overpriced!"

  • "Pick this restaurant by chance on Valentines day. Wanted some good Italian. Menu was great and service excellent. We wanted a good antipasto and allowed our waiter to put a special plate together. It was fabulous. Entree's were both good. We heard the Chef is the owner and he tests his staff often on the menu, service and wines. Brining on Ocean Drive at a patio table was all more special."

  • "I booked this restaurant despite a few less than favorable reviews, but I have to say I have no idea why anyone would have a complaint. From beginning to end, the meal was a delight. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and made the evening wonderful. We both had pasta, which is made at the restaurant. It was cooked to perfection. The noise level was fine at our 7 p.m. dining time, although I can imagine with it being directly on Ocean Drive, it can get noisy. The view of the beach is wonderful. Great place to people watch. We couldn't ask for a better evening."

  • "I have been to Il Bolognese before and it was good, but this time not so. The food was okay, but the entire meal was let down by the poor service: Mains arrived before we had even finished our starters and we have to ask for bread, we also had to ask three times for a wine list and parmesan finally arrived when we were almost finished. Once our waiter had taken our order, we never actually saw him again until he asked us if we wanted dessert. As they automatically add 18% service charge to the bill the waiters don't actually feel they need to deal with you. Finally restaurant staff had a conversation with a group of other diners standing beside our table and knocked over glasses & oils on our table and the staff left it Never going back"

  • "My sister and I had an incredible dinner here! Our serve Leo was so friendly and personable. He was very attentive and was so knowledgeable! He recommended the sea bass and the seafood pasta. While both are a little pricey, they were worth every penny. So delicious and such a nice atmosphere!!!"

  • "I have dined at some of the most notable restaurants around the world, and never have I felt do dissatisfied and offended after being presented with a $110 charge for two extremely ordinary and readily available fish. If a restaurant is going to charge a ridiculous amount for "specials", the diner should be first informed. Not only was the dish overly expensive, it was just okay! When you consider the restaurant imposed gratuity, plus the inattentive service, plus the mediocre meal, plus the cost of the entrees, I would recommend you that you stay far far away from this restaurant!!!!! If you've never adhered to a review before, please seriously consider this one!!!!!!"

  • "My pet peeve with auto gratuity is that it gives the server little motivation to serve. We didn't see the server from the time he took the order until he came to offer us dessert. My pappardelle was not good...my boyfriends bolognese was excellent. Good wine...nice Sobe sight seeing. Water with dinner is VIP. It's sad when money is such a motivator you only see the waiter when he can "sell" to increase his tip. We are auto 20% tippers but this gives us a whole other view. Might return."

  • "Made a reservation for 8 people at 8:00 via Open Table. Upon arrival at 8:00, we were told our table would be ready in 10 minutes. We waited for an hour while the manager continued to make excuses and empty promises (he mentioned opening the upstairs to accommodate us, but never acted on that) in an effort to keep us in the restaurant. Ultimately, we were seated at 9:10 at a make-shift table assembled using small bar tables & over-sized outdoor chairs. The restaurant did comp us for two bottles of wine, but overall I feel they handled the situation very poorly. The food was good. The kicker was when the bill arrived. We attempted to pay with multiple credit cards and were told that was not possible. Get with the times."
