A word from Ibiza Tapas Restaurant & Wine Bar
Ibiza Tapas & Wine bar was one of the first few tapas places to open in Pittsburgh. We offer a large selection of cold & hot tapas on a regular basis as well as different specials on Friday & Saturday. Full dinner entrees are also on the menu.
With 60 different wines, we are able to satisfy many of the serious wine drinker. Wines can be enjoyed by the glass or through a variety of flight. Our bartenders will be more than happy to help you make a selection.
The architecture of the building creates & enjoyable dining atmosphere. Our year round patio with elegant lighting & a romantic water fall is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or to just enjoy the night out with friends. Through out the winter months the patio is covered & heated.
Every month we hold a different wine dinner party. With a different region covered each month – you can enjoy the pairing of different foods & wines for a memorable experience.

  • "There was a good selection of tapas (both hot and cold); the menu was not terribly extensive, but there was loads of specials to augment it. Food preparation was very good: authentic, mix of tastes between dishes and nicely prepared. For example, the shrimp and lamb were *not* overcooked (as is so often the case elsewhere), fritters were crispy on the outside, delicate on the inside. Portions were generous (for tapas); it is moderately pricey, but the high quality, perfect preparation and excellent timing on serving (always 2 dishes in front of us, nothing accumulating and getting cold) is what you're paying for. Parking was right next door."

  • "Service was bad. Nice kid, but he had 2 large parties and another table, as well. He was in the weeds. Friendly, though. Calamari was good in texture but was bland. Tomato, mozzarella salad - same thing. If decent tomatoes are not available, don't run the salad! Tomatoes had no flavor. Shrimp dumplings were good. Lobster ravioli is were good, but ditch the olives on top! Servers have obviously never been told that guests have the right of way. Bathroom was dirty and filled with cigarette smoke. This was our third visit and we aren't going to be in a hurry to get back. Music SUCKED!"

  • "As an avid fan of trying new restaurants, I'm glad that ibizas food was satisfying despite missing out on a web deal I found advertised. It was a Tuesday, so I suppose that's why there were only a few patrons in back, the bar was quiet. Our food came outquickly but there was some weirdness surrounding whom our server would be and they could've been more attentive, it cost them two stars in that category. Overall the food was better than expected so I'm glad we went!"

Although the server had promised to space out the plates if we wanted to order them all up front, that didn't happen with other servers just bringing plates in and overwhelming our table with all courses at once. Otherwise, service was good. The ambiance was very nice for a group of friends sharing tapas and wine."

  • "My travels sent me to Pittsburgh, where my daughter attends CMU. She, I and 3 of her friends went to Ibiza on Valentine's. The only diners with a table for more than two, our night was a wonderful memory. The girls had so much fun trying out the menu, sharing and sampling so many yummy choices. There was also a little people watching, and everyone shared how their parents met, all still together. The last treat came at the end when the girls realized all females got a rose. Would they give out 5 roses? Yes! They were each so pleased with their roses; we had to take pictures all around. I highly recommend Valentine's night to all parents of Freshman girls. What a great way to get to know their friends! Thanks much Ibiza for a special memory."

  • "The restaurant is one of my favorites for its unique menus and style. The wine flights are always a top choice, however they need to change them up occasionally and expand the wines by the glass. The menu is limited but the daily specials (usually 4-5) items covers a wide option palate."

  • "My boyfriend and I wanted a light meal, and we've both gone to Tapas restaurants in other cities. We ordered 3 hot tapas dishes, two bowls of soup, and a pitcher of sangria. The food was all excellent, especially the cheese and chorizo soup, and all of our tapas choices were flavorful and the perfect portion size. We especially like that the restaurant is open late, as we are both night owls. We will definitely eat here again!"

  • "We were on time for reservation, were told it'd be a few minutes & waited 45 minutes before being sat. no one seemed to be apologetic or acknowledge that"a few minutes" was close to an hour. Once seated, we had an attentive server & got salad quickly but waited again 30 minutes for 2 tapas which we ordered at the same time as the salad. we were there for 2.5 hours for 1 salad, 4 tapas & 3 glasses of wine. another issue, we received the same dish twice by accident & immediately told our server who removed it. after we left I realized I was charged twice for that dish as if we actually had ordered & ate 2. The restaurant itself is nice & food was good. Portion sizes varied but that's typical for tapas."

  • "We were 2 couples- one celebrating a birthday and one a 1st anniversary. The atmosphere was intimate, though I should have listened to the Maitre d' and sat in the heated patio area. The pear salad was delish- enough to split, mushroom risotto -creamy and very tasty, and the spicy Tuna with wonton crisps- divine- my favorite. I was told by hubby that the calamari was delicious, but the filet medallion was a little tough. The other couple spit the lobster and shrimp soup and the grilled vegetable salad- each dish was plenty to share. The scallops and the mini crab cakes- a wonderful taste they said. Next time I will also have the mango martini- amazing! The staff were very attentive and thorough with their knowledge of the wines and menu."

  • "This is my second time at Ibiza and this time we went at an earlier time (around 4:30-5:00pm) before it gets crowded. Going this early was a great move. The second time around was excellent. Service was prompt, courteous, and outstanding. Food was good and wine was VERY GOOD. Overall great experience by the staff. Thank Ibiza! Advice: Go early before the dinner crowd arrives because once it gets crowded I think the service suffers a little bit (based off of my previous experience)."

  • "We had around 8 people that went here for a late dinner on Saturday night. A majority of the people ordered a variety of small plates but I chose to order a steak. The food came out in portions instead of all at once, so people were done eating and I had yet to even receive my food yet. When my food finally arrived,a few other plates came out as well but 3 people had already ate their entire meal and had to sit there while I ate mine. Although the food and our waitress were amaxing!! I thought that they could have done a better job at bringing the food out together instead of the shifts."

  • "This was our first time dining at Ibiza. The food was excellent but the service was even better. The staff explained the menu thoroughly and even made recommendations. Everyone waited on us and not just our waitress. Our table was cleared promptly. Even the valet was excellent. I will go there again."

  • "Was extremely loud, could not even hear ourselves talk. There was a very loud group seated across from us that was continuously getting up and down and was very disruptive (not the restaurants fault). Our service was not good. Many things were wrong even after the server went over our order with us 3+ times each. My friend filet was was ordered to be done well, came out rare and the server informed us he put the order in to be prepared medium, obviously his fault yet nothing was done about it. We asked that our cheese plate come out first and then our food, the cheese plate came out first, about 30 seconds prior to everything else. It was just a bad night out, nothing seemed to Go right, very disappointed."

  • "Our "go to" dinner spot for 2+ years now. Not sure what happened, but menu seems to have been cut in half, which is near fatal for a tapas - style dining experience as far as I am concerned. Out of the more than half dozen plates and desserts that we did try, only 1- chocolate mousse - was anywhere near its former glory. Other dishes lacked the flavor and food quality that we have come to expect. Only shining moment was the server. He approached his supervisor twice to request a particular dish that had become the staple of our dining there - Tortilla Espanola. Eggs, potatoes, and onions and he had to convince the manager to ok it? Nowhere near the dining experience that I expect for $150. Sadly, I doubt that we will dine at Ibiza again."

  • "This is the third time I've dined at Ibiza and it has been excellent every time. I love getting several tapas and sharing, and it is the perfect spot for date night. The patio is very romantic. Our food has always been delicious, and is only, in my opinion, slightly overpriced, thought the ambiance makes it worth it. The wine flights are fun, and the South African flight (my choice) didn't disappoint. The overall experience that Ibiza creates is well worth the trip and we plan to be back!"

  • "I had heard about Ibiza and was excited to take my girlfriend there for the first time on Valentine's Day. We were not disappointed by the food, as it was delicious. I particularly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops and the fiesta lime shrimp. However, the tables are tiny, leaving you feeling very cramped, especially if you order more than 2 tapas dishes (which we did). Also, our server took over 20 minutes to bring us our check, and then proceeded to ask us if we wouldn't mind telling the hostess that he did a good job for us. Seemed very unprofessional to me. Needless to say, I did not. So, a mixed experience...food and wine was very good, but comfortability and service could have been way better."

  • "Even though we had made reservations during what turned out to be a severe snow storm we decided to risk it to try out Ibiza. Good thing we did because everything that we had, drinks and food, was delicious and sitting out on the patio with the heaters was a great ambiance for a rare date night. The portobello risotto was fantastic and the tuna "nachos", which I was weary of at first, turned out to be a great sashimi tuna on crispy fried wontons. We'll definitely be going back again!"

  • "It was nice to try Ibiza for Restaurant Week. The valet parking was greatly appreciated and they offered a great menu. The food was absolutely perfect. It was shocking to see that the sangria was enormous. I truly didn't want a drink that large and when I got the check, I was appalled - it would've been nice to know the size and cost beforehand because I wouldn't have ordered it. There is a happy hour discount (-$2), but it wasn't honored since we were there for the Restaurant Week special. It would've been nice if they honored that very small discount in order to build a good relationship with new OR old customers. They have a beautiful, warm patio for dining in the middle of winter, but it was too dark to appreciate the food."

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants and have eaten there a number if times. I had the duck entree which is one if my favorites and the duck was excellent as always. I have also had the tapas on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed them. One of the people in our party who was a first time visitor to Ibiza ordered the short ribs and they were very disappointed; although cooked perfectly they were very bland, not even sure why this type of preparation is on the menu. Other than that, the salads we ordered and the wine fights were excellent. The two of us who had the duck were extremely pleased. I will definitely return."

  • "I've been to Ibiza many times but it had been 6 months or so since the last time. They have wonderful selection of wine flights to enjoy during dinner. my table had 6 plates and 3 desserts. Each one of them was well prepared and flavorful. To write about all of them would not fit in this review. Taste for your self. The out door area is plenty warm and a great place to go this winter."

  • "Service was great from the time we walked in. We ordered the Chile wine flight, and my husband and I enjoyed all 4 wines. We were there for the Pittsburgh Restaurant Week special, and it was delicious. We tried the mini crab cakes, filet medallions, artichoke fritters, and stuffed banana peppers. The artichoke fritters were by far my favorite! For dessert we had a chocolate mousse (I am a chocolate lover, and this was fantastic), and the caramel flan. The atmosphere is very cool, we would definitely like to return sometime. Highly recommend!"
