Food at Ibiza is well prepared and nicely presented. Try the garden. Even in cold weather the flame heaters keep you warm and add to the decor. Beware the $25 corkage fee- the highest I have ever experienced here or in New York. We had two bottles and complained at $50. The waiter had it halved so we escaped paying $25.

Ibiza was very busy when we were there. We were told they had two private parties plus lots of other customers. Despite that, service was friendly and efficient, and all food was very well prepared. We ordered only tapas, and each one was characterized by fresh ingredients, good preparation, and attractive presentation. Our waiter was knowledgeable and cordial. I look forward to returning on my next visit to Pittsburgh.

The highlight of the night was the wine flights, for about between 18-25 dollars we both received 4-5 2 oz glasses of wine. I had the American reds and they were all very good. We had 5 different tapas, the best of which were the bacon wrapped scallops. The stuffed bana peppers were slightly above average but the other 3 tapas were average or below. We had the scallops wrapped in bacon, veal stuffed banana peppers, shrimp in spicy sauce, fried calamari, and I can't recall the 5th. While I knew this is a tapas restaurant and portions would be small I would've left hungry without having to finish off the very mediocre fried calamari. This can be tough to swallow when your bill is > $100.

We celebrated my husbands birthday at Ibiza's and had a wonderful experience. The staff were polite and attentive. Loved the Pinot Noir wine selection. We had the Alaskan halibut, pork chop and beef medallions and all were wonderful. They brought out a sparkler stuck in a bouquet of cotton candy for his birthday which I thought was different. Still ordered a dessert to be shared by table. Had a lovely meal and great celebration. Will definitely be back.

Although the atmosphere was friendly and our waitress was attentive, the food was very disappointing. My grilled begetable salad was difficult to eat. The greens were a bit off and the grilled eggplant and zucchini were chewy and under baked. The clam broth was very sweet and tasted as though the white wine had not been cooked off so left a rather unpleasant taste. Even a simple dish such as chorizo and potatoes was over fried. The meat was bits of dry charred hunks and the potatoes had been reheated one too many times. The sangria was alright ,just a bit watery. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Loved this restaurant. As this was our first visit we found the waitstaff to be very helpful. The menu had something for everyone and the service was exceptional. The only downside was that the "right to life" group found this corner appealing and demonstrated during dinner complete with placards and security. What a shame that this takes place while people are attempting to enjoy a fabulous meal.

We don't love every dish at Ibiza. However, there are many to love. A new menu features our favorites and simplifies the choices. The lamb was excellent and we have had the artichoke fritters a couple times. Recommended.

I went here with a decent sized group. The outdoor patio was very nice, with a cool fountain. Service was great and accommodating, getting a lot of billing stuff taken care of up front. They had a nice wine selection, and a good variety of wine flights. The food was pretty good, though we found that "small plates" were actually quite large, filling you up more than you'd really want, if you were hoping to try various plates. All of the food was excellent - except for the mussels and a dessert. The mussels were very large, kind of rubbery and overly fishy. Nobody cared for them at the table. The dessert seemed to have too much gelatin or something in it - it was almost hard and rubbery as well.

The food was nothing to get excited about. There were 3 of us dining that all like interesting international food, and none of the dishes blew us away. We originally went for restaurant week but decided to do tapas instead, so this review is based on there normal everyday menu. Our server was great and was knowledgable about all the dishes.

Visited during restaurant week. Portion sizes for special were exceedingly small. They offer and push the wine flights, but prices were really high - about $15 to $25 for 8 oz of wine. Food was good, was not great. Presentation not a focus. Service was a bit too attentive - constantly at our table, more conversation than appropriate (she didn't seem to recognize we were there to spend time with each other, not her.) The dining experience didn't stand up to the total bill - for example, pretty sure my soup was served with the same Ikea spoon (not a soup spoon) that I bought for my first apartment in 1991. Considering the restaurant competition in Pittsburgh, I don't think we'll be back.

What a wonderful restaurant - great food and superior service. After a recent matinee, we enjoyed an early dinner at Ibiza, feasting on grilled shrimp, a mixed meat platter.Only dissappointment was that they reworked the menu, reducing the number of tapas available. If you want Spanish food in Pittsburgh, Ibiza and its full menu sister, Mallorca, next door will not disappoint.

My first experience at Ibiza with my husband was fabulous. Our waitress was great and helpful. The food was delicious and the tapas came out in rounds so that we did not have too much on our table at once. We were so excited to come back. Our second experience was this past weekend with another couple. We were told before being seated that transitions were being made as the restaurant had a new chef and the menu was changing. It kind of felt like being told "Sorry" in advance for any poor experience. BIG difference from the first experience...food was nothing to rave about this time (other than the sangrias were still delicious) and everything was served at once (overwhelming). The cost of dinner was not worth it this time around.

There is a new chef in the kitchen. What a difference. They are somewhat retooling the menu, at least that's what we were told. We had a great dinner. We stick with the fish/ seafood items. Best anchovies I have ever had...ethereal. Didn't even resemble the little fishies in the can or jar. The sardines are usually great too, but you may have to ask for them. If you haven't been there for a while, go back. If you haven't been there yet...try it! They do have valet parking, or their own lot if it is a slower night.

The tapas menu seemed to be lacking, which would have been fine if the food was good. Unfortunately the food was lacking as well. You can taste fresh and that taste was definitely lacking here...the food was bland, lacking true flavors and the presentation was non existent. If you had told me everything we ordered was prepared during the week leading up to us eating there, I would have believed it.

My husband and I have been here many times and always enjoy it. We went for our 5 - year wedding anniversary. The whole time I felt the waitress was trying to rush us. We wanted to have a leisurely, romantic dinner and she had us in and out in under 45 minutes. She picked up my plate of food before I was even finished and I had to ask her to leave it! We ordered dessert and I thought it might be on the house, or have "Happy Anniversary" on it or SOMETHING, but there was nothing. They did absolutely nothing special for our anniversary. I will probably be back because the food is so good (mushroom risotto great and they made us special vegan vegetables) but not for a special occasion.

The tapas that we ordered were pricey (but good) and enough to share except one: the medallions of filet mignon (which amounted to three bites and didn't look like filet mignon). We complained to our waiter, but he said the manager did not want to do anything about it. The serving was not worth the $15 that we paid for it.

The food was great but the service was terrible. The server had zero enthusiasm. To the point it felt like she really didn't want to serve my gf and I. She never came over to see if we needed anything and when we did grab her attention it felt as if we were bothering her. At any rate the food and atmosphere were great. We had fun despite the poor service and attitude. Oh and another server did check on us and she was much more upbeat and pleasant. Lastly, I tipped our origional server 22% and she didn't bother to say thank you.

The staff was friendly and helpful, right from the hostess who seated us to the waitress that took care of us. They have a nice selection of hot and cold taps, both in the meat and fish categories. Everything we ordered was delicious and the speed of service was excellent, although the restaurant was no particularly crowded this evening. A chocolate mousse with lighted candle was provided unsolicited for the birthday girl. This got rave reviews not only for the lucky one in our party, but a departing patron from another table who also really enjoyed the mousse. So if you like mousse, I suggest pacing yourself through the many tempting tapas present on the menu to make sure you have room for it!

Another atypical sunny day in the burgh always draws a crowd to the south side. My wife and I were looking for some light fare when tapas came to mind. This is a great place for enjoying good cuisine in a quaint atmosphere. The lamb was delicious as was everything else we ordered. The only thing that beat the food was the service. Well staffed, we didn't wait long for our delicacies. We will return for the great food and another glass of the Spanish wine
