A word from Ibiza Tapas Restaurant & Wine Bar
Ibiza Tapas & Wine bar was one of the first few tapas places to open in Pittsburgh. We offer a large selection of cold & hot tapas on a regular basis as well as different specials on Friday & Saturday. Full dinner entrees are also on the menu.
With 60 different wines, we are able to satisfy many of the serious wine drinker. Wines can be enjoyed by the glass or through a variety of flight. Our bartenders will be more than happy to help you make a selection.
The architecture of the building creates & enjoyable dining atmosphere. Our year round patio with elegant lighting & a romantic water fall is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or to just enjoy the night out with friends. Through out the winter months the patio is covered & heated.
Every month we hold a different wine dinner party. With a different region covered each month – you can enjoy the pairing of different foods & wines for a memorable experience.

  • "There is a new chef in the kitchen. What a difference. They are somewhat retooling the menu, at least that's what we were told. We had a great dinner. We stick with the fish/ seafood items. Best anchovies I have ever had...ethereal. Didn't even resemble the little fishies in the can or jar. The sardines are usually great too, but you may have to ask for them. If you haven't been there for a while, go back. If you haven't been there yet...try it! They do have valet parking, or their own lot if it is a slower night."

You can taste fresh and that taste was definitely lacking here...the food was bland, lacking true flavors and the presentation was non existent. If you had told me everything we ordered was prepared during the week leading up to us eating there, I would have believed it."

  • "My husband and I have been here many times and always enjoy it. We went for our 5 - year wedding anniversary. The whole time I felt the waitress was trying to rush us. We wanted to have a leisurely, romantic dinner and she had us in and out in under 45 minutes. She picked up my plate of food before I was even finished and I had to ask her to leave it! We ordered dessert and I thought it might be on the house, or have "Happy Anniversary" on it or SOMETHING, but there was nothing. They did absolutely nothing special for our anniversary. I will probably be back because the food is so good (mushroom risotto great and they made us special vegan vegetables) but not for a special occasion."

We complained to our waiter, but he said the manager did not want to do anything about it. The serving was not worth the $15 that we paid for it."

  • "The food was great but the service was terrible. The server had zero enthusiasm. To the point it felt like she really didn't want to serve my gf and I. She never came over to see if we needed anything and when we did grab her attention it felt as if we were bothering her. At any rate the food and atmosphere were great. We had fun despite the poor service and attitude. Oh and another server did check on us and she was much more upbeat and pleasant. Lastly, I tipped our origional server 22% and she didn't bother to say thank you."

  • "The staff was friendly and helpful, right from the hostess who seated us to the waitress that took care of us. They have a nice selection of hot and cold taps, both in the meat and fish categories. Everything we ordered was delicious and the speed of service was excellent, although the restaurant was no particularly crowded this evening. A chocolate mousse with lighted candle was provided unsolicited for the birthday girl. This got rave reviews not only for the lucky one in our party, but a departing patron from another table who also really enjoyed the mousse. So if you like mousse, I suggest pacing yourself through the many tempting tapas present on the menu to make sure you have room for it!"

  • "Another atypical sunny day in the burgh always draws a crowd to the south side. My wife and I were looking for some light fare when tapas came to mind. This is a great place for enjoying good cuisine in a quaint atmosphere. The lamb was delicious as was everything else we ordered. The only thing that beat the food was the service. Well staffed, we didn't wait long for our delicacies. We will return for the great food and another glass of the Spanish wine"

  • "This was my first time dining at Ibiza. All food was fabulous including drinks and even the table bread. The atmosphere was very unique and charming. Service didn't quite measure up, though. When our waiter couldn't answer a basic question about the menu, he admitted immediately that it was his first night. I understand that a brand new waiter might be clueless about the menu, but he didn't even get our water order right. He was so nervous that he seemed like it was the first time he had ever waited tables at all. The restaurant should have had partnered him a more experienced waiter which isn't unreasonable given it was still early and the place wasn't close to filled up yet. It was very frustrating. Luckily we weren't in a rush."

  • "The food was tasty and quick to come out. Being able to choose multiple tapas gives you an opportunity to try many different items. Our favorite was the stuffed hot pepper with veal and marinara. The ONLY hiccup was not having cucumber for the martini we had ordered. I really enjoy the concept of the menu. Our server Ashley was absolutely wonderful! She made a great recommendationand took excellent care of us. Ashley made the experience even more worth it. We will most certainly return for the food, martinis, and service from Ashley! "

  • "We like Ibiza for the pared down menu. A lot of Tapas places offer 9 million items. It's very hard to choose a few and the quality is watered down because of the quantity. While Ibiza's menu has less choices the variety is still outstanding and the chefs can concentrate on doing fewer things quite well."

  • "I've been to many tapas restaurants over the years. This was the least Spanish of them all. Where's the bread with garlic olive oil, tomato, and Manchego? Where's the tortilla? Jamon? All the delicious seafood possibilities? How about some Spanish chorizo? If I want to eat pot stickers, I'll go to a Chinese restaurant, thank you. "

  • "They have an extensive wine list, as the name of the restaurant suggests. Only ordered wine and tapas, but left very much satisfied. Everything was absolutely delicious. The back patio area was closed in but very romantic and ambient with tasteful fire pillars for warmth and a gorgeous waterfall in the background. I would recommend the spinach and artichoke dip (good to have something tasty and safe if you plan to try some more exotic dishes), the tilapia ceviche, and the blood orange crab cakes."

  • "There was a good selection of tapas (both hot and cold); the menu was not terribly extensive, but there was loads of specials to augment it. Food preparation was very good: authentic, mix of tastes between dishes and nicely prepared. For example, the shrimp and lamb were *not* overcooked (as is so often the case elsewhere), fritters were crispy on the outside, delicate on the inside. Portions were generous (for tapas); it is moderately pricey, but the high quality, perfect preparation and excellent timing on serving (always 2 dishes in front of us, nothing accumulating and getting cold) is what you're paying for. Parking was right next door."

  • "Service was bad. Nice kid, but he had 2 large parties and another table, as well. He was in the weeds. Friendly, though. Calamari was good in texture but was bland. Tomato, mozzarella salad - same thing. If decent tomatoes are not available, don't run the salad! Tomatoes had no flavor. Shrimp dumplings were good. Lobster ravioli is were good, but ditch the olives on top! Servers have obviously never been told that guests have the right of way. Bathroom was dirty and filled with cigarette smoke. This was our third visit and we aren't going to be in a hurry to get back. Music SUCKED!"

  • "As an avid fan of trying new restaurants, I'm glad that ibizas food was satisfying despite missing out on a web deal I found advertised. It was a Tuesday, so I suppose that's why there were only a few patrons in back, the bar was quiet. Our food came outquickly but there was some weirdness surrounding whom our server would be and they could've been more attentive, it cost them two stars in that category. Overall the food was better than expected so I'm glad we went!"

Although the server had promised to space out the plates if we wanted to order them all up front, that didn't happen with other servers just bringing plates in and overwhelming our table with all courses at once. Otherwise, service was good. The ambiance was very nice for a group of friends sharing tapas and wine."

  • "My boyfriend and I wanted a light meal, and we've both gone to Tapas restaurants in other cities. We ordered 3 hot tapas dishes, two bowls of soup, and a pitcher of sangria. The food was all excellent, especially the cheese and chorizo soup, and all of our tapas choices were flavorful and the perfect portion size. We especially like that the restaurant is open late, as we are both night owls. We will definitely eat here again!"

  • "We were on time for reservation, were told it'd be a few minutes & waited 45 minutes before being sat. no one seemed to be apologetic or acknowledge that"a few minutes" was close to an hour. Once seated, we had an attentive server & got salad quickly but waited again 30 minutes for 2 tapas which we ordered at the same time as the salad. we were there for 2.5 hours for 1 salad, 4 tapas & 3 glasses of wine. another issue, we received the same dish twice by accident & immediately told our server who removed it. after we left I realized I was charged twice for that dish as if we actually had ordered & ate 2. The restaurant itself is nice & food was good. Portion sizes varied but that's typical for tapas."
