The Iberian Pig
Recommended by friends, thisRecommended by friends, this was an amazing place! Service, food, drinks - all amazing. I am from Chicago and this rivals any restaurant in the city.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, excellent serviceI have dined at the Iberian Pig multiple times, and the food is consistently excellent.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways ConsistentThe food is always very good, but some of the small plates are a little pricey. They have a big menu so there are always new things to try and I've never had anything that was't good.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experience! The food is amazing, the service is outstanding. I made a reservation through open table and mentioned in the special instructions that it was my husband Mike's birthday. At the end of the meal our waiter, Chris, brought out a creme brulee and a birthday card signed by all the staff. it was done very discreetly and Thoughtfully.
We shared six different small plates - it was a great way to try a lot of different food. Thoroughly enjoyable! We can't wait to go back and try more!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious as ever!I've been to Iberian Pig a few times now and ALWAYS love it! The BWD's, Albondigas meatballs and Cabrito Carbonara are just some of my favorites that we get every time.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent FoodGreat Service and also excellent food. Pork cheek Tacos were quite delicious as well as the burger that I ordered. I would go to the Iberian pig again and I would also recommend it, as a great place to dine.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMCouldn't Have Been BetterI'm going to keep this short and sweet - you NEED to get the mac n' cheese, and the pork belly with truffle. Service was great and extremely attentive. The selection was just varied enough but not overwhelming. I will certainly return when I'm back in the city.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways amazingI went back to an old classic, the Cabrito Carbonara. I ate it incredibly slowly so I could try to forget the flavor between bites and re-experience the bliss of the first bite. The Iberian Pig always surpasses expectations. Leigh Ann, Mary Quinn, Jeff, Fred, Rich, Chad, Lane... and more... all take the concept of hospitality to a place that always makes me feel like I am home. The Iberian Pig is a MUST enjoy.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTapas and MoreIberian Pig is an improvement on traditional tapas. The vibe is definitely Decatur: plates are a little bigger, there are entree options, the wine list is excellent but also user-friendly for those not familiar with Spanish wine, and the staff is happy to help. We like to come for small plates and drinks at the bar or with a group, but it is also perfect for a full dinner. The chard/egg and pork cheek/truffles tapas are absolutely delightful.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAtlanta is famous for "tapas bars"Atlanta is famous for "tapas bars" but this was truly "over the top"! Beyond tapas--the Iberian Pig slyly takes the wholesomeness of relatively straightforward, locally-sourced single-shot taste experiences of the tapas by having gourmet dishes masquerade as-if the simple yet venerable food ouevre. Not pretension--just a well executed movement. Our server, "Ian" complemented the exerience by suggesting a rhythm to the affair (and selecting an oft-served but equally as oft-unavailable but off-menu wine selection) that took us through the evening and concluded admirably in a dessert-like foie gras inspired dish "Foiench gras". The selections were reasonably priced to the desired experience--making it a pleasurable trip, throughout. Superb6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! We will be back...Our first time at this place, recommended by friends, so we knew we would like it. The waiter was very helpful with recommending some tapas plates for us. We tried several and all were fabulous. We would highly recommend the Bacon wrapped Dates, Huevo Con Trufa, and braised Veal Shank Ravioli. Great wine list, parking is around the corner, short walk to the restaurant.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMTwo years later, still good!Did tapas as we did 2 years ago. Enjoyed all 6
unigue choices. The 2 I did not love, my husband
did. Will return again when we again visit
The Marrriott Evergreen Resort.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOur New Favorite SpotWent for the 1st time last weekend. The menu is HUGE but the server was very knowledgable about the items on it and gave us great recommendations on food and beverages. A+ service and the food was excellent. We had a nice table for two but it looked like a good spot for small groups.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMStar of Atlanta dining - againThere is only one place in the entire greater Atlanta area I make a point to go to when I'm in town and that is the Iberian Pig. Make sure to get the pork cheek tacos and an Iberian Old Fashioned, then go from there. Waiters are very knowledgeable about the entire menu and their drink list so if you feel lost ask for a recommendation. Hit up some of the great bars in the area after if you're looking for a beer fix.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOctopus Is AmazingGreat food...as always...a little crowded....but that makes sense given my first comment!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood family diningEnjoyed a great meal sitting outside with the family. The lomo was excellent!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great, as always!Food was great, as always! Great place to entertain clients.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSpain with a twistWe are just back from a week and a half in Spain and The Iberian Pig was and extension of a wonderful vacation. The food was very good. They take the same ingredients as used in Spain but with a little twist.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect EveningWe wanted a relaxed, yet new dining experience. Our waitress took the time to explain dishes to us and did not steer us wrong. We ordered tapas and loved the opportunity to sample so many foods. Service was great!! Food was delicious!!!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of country?I love this eatery and recently took a friend from England to it. It was excellent. All the food was fresh and very tasty. He thought it an excellent example of a great place to eat in the US.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite restaurant.Sunday night we took another couple with us for dinner at the Iberian Pig, and were reminded yet again why this is our favorite restaurant in the Metro-Atlanta area. With four people we were able to try some things that were new to us while still enjoying the dishes that keep us coming back. Our favorites (pork cheek tacos, bacon wrapped dates, veal shank ravioli) were all just as tasty as our memories of them, and the dishes we tried for the first time were equally delicious. The grilled octopus was the best I have ever had. We tried a couple of their specials and they were equally impressive. As usual the service was top notch. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great resturant! We went during the Decatur arts festival and really enjoyed the Sangria, food and service! The staff was very accommodating and the waiter knew the menu very well. There is a lot of pig on the menu (hence the restaurants name), so make sure everyone you go with eats pork.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic Spanish FoodGreat menu items not found anywhere else. Tapas are excellent and reasonably priced. Huevos con Trufa is a must.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!Very tasty selection of food! Great service from a knowledgable staff. Will definitely be visiting again soon!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLives up to the hypeWas an exceptional experience. Being an executive chef I am always skeptical of others reviews. This was spot on. Wish I lived closer.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable, expensive, different.Enjoyable, expensive, different. We had a table in a dark noisy corner, could have been better. Our server was very knowledgeable, after a slow start the tapas came quickly and was well prepared. We'll go back, but it won't become a frequent stop for us.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience!First time experience and was amazed! Really lived up to the reputation. The food was delicious and the service was spot on.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways amazing!I had a wonderful experience at the Iberian Pig this week. Ian took great care of me as my server and was so accommodating of my friend and I. She is gluten free and he really took his time walking us through the menu and explaining all the gluten free options. They also have a gluten free menu which is great and one of the reasons I will absolutely be back with her. I had the morcilla and pork cheek tacos, both were to die for. She had the filet, which was so tender and cooked perfectly. Of course we had cocktails as well that were spot on (Lane is the best back there!).
The manager, Leigh Ann, checked on our table and seemed genuinely interested in our experience and making sure we had a fabulous time. Props overall!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Best of the BestThis has been our fav for a long time. Have never had a bad exp. Can't say enough about it.
Randy5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal.Overall out experience was great. Food was wonderful, very bold flavors, cheeses are wonderful, cocktails were great. Service was a little slow. Downside was it is very pricey. We just had tapas and cocktails and it was about $40 per person. Nice occasionally but not good prices for frequent dining.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGood foodThe food is great from the Iberian pig to the chorizo sausage.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI always leave in a good moodThe food is fantastic; the atmosphere relaxed; the waitstaff make you try to feel at home. Not much more I could ask for out of a place. Highly recommend.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, price not outrageousWe went to celebrate our anniversary. We sat outside on a beautiful spring evening and ordered what we wanted and had the waiter bring us a few recommendations. We ate everything so fast it was gone before the waiter came over to check on us.
After dinner, the waiter found out it was our anniversary, and he brought us each a complimentary glass of champagne. A real gem.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and ServiceThe food and service was awesome as always. I dine on Friday with Jessica as my waitress. She was very detailed and attentive. I dined also on Saturday. One comment - the Mac and Cheese lacked flavor. This was fair and needs to be spiced-up.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMStill a FaveWe always enjoy the Iberian Pig - their great menu lets us enjoy our favorite dishes while sampling new things. On our last visit, we were celebrating my Mother-in-Law's birthday - and we feel it was a great choice for the occasion. The service is always friendly and knowledgable - if not the fastest. My only complaint is that the drink service in particular is slow - leaving me with an empty glass on more than one occasion. Still, an enjoyable place to dine with very tasty food. I recommend the Bacon Wrapped Dates and Pork Cheek Tacos in particular.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ServiceOur waiter made excellent suggestions as far as tapas go. One of the dishes we didn't care for at all, and he didn't even charge us.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful time as always.wonderful time as always. The food was phemonemal. I would recommend making reservations. they pay off. will definitely be back!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMnow THIS is a restaurant! We made a reservation on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. The host recommended that we
Wait at the bar while our table was being prepared. We ordered a french martini and the Iberian old fashioned.
If you love food, and REAL cocktails, this is the place for you. The food was nothing short of amazing. Nothing pretentious...just
pure, honest food. We had several plates from the tapas menu and every plate left us wanting more. I can't imagine a palate that this
Place could not satisfy. (The mac n cheese is serious, and that means something) The server was extremely friendly
And knowledgeable. I scored serious brownie points from my gf by taking her here! As is such...anything that says pork belly, get it!
Hands down, on my top 5 list.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIberian PigThis is a quaint restaurant in the heart of Decatur on the square. It is fun, lively, upbeat and the service was spectacular. Everyone from the hostess to our server to someone opening the door for us all thanked us for coming into the restaurant. The waiters tag teamed and helped each other out and worked well as a team. The seating is a little crowded, but it is more intimate that way! The food choices offer all kinds of interesting variety so you can try all sorts of Tapas or order entrees. The bacon wrapped dates were my favorite. I will definitely go back when I am in that area of town.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great Treat! It is always a great treat to be here. The food is amazing and the Service is great! These are great people who are wonderful at what they do!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceI was a big fan of the Iberian Pig. Dinner started with great cocktails. It was very crowded and noisy at the bar, we don't mind the noise, so it was not an issue with us. The bartenders were friendly and very attentive. Dinner was fantastic, our waiter was energetic and friendly. Our food came quickly and everything was great.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBusy weekend for our 1st visitThe selection of food was wonderful-lots of new things to try. Bar service was extremely slow, but it was graduation weekend. They did a really nice job of making my husband feel special for his birthday celebration.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a great place allThis is a great place all around while taking my mother out for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day, while visiting from the west coast. While tapas have been considered cool and trendy for some time, most places do it poorly. Everything we ordered was excellent. The service was great as they were both attentive and excellent at providing recommendations. The only 2 downsides were that we a) had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated b) they were slow to provide the bill. I would definitely go here again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was outstanding and theFood was outstanding and the service was quite good. Would highly recommend to everyone visiting Atlanta. The location is perfect.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything we expected... and thenWe've been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally made it.
Service was outstanding! From the hostess to the manager - all went
well above and beyond. Food was delectable. So many great flavors.
We ordered the pork cheek tacos, burger with eggplant fries, veal shank
ravioli, bacon wrapped dates, asparagus with egg, foiench toast w/ foie gras
and churos with the best chocolate sauce I've ever tasted for dessert.
Will most definitely be back, just as soon as I work off the 2 lbs I gained.
(only recommendation would be to have more lighter fare menu items,
as these were all very rich and heavy, but sooo delicious!!)
Thank you for surpassing our expectations!!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Anniversary Dinner! We chose Iberian Pig to celebrate our 4th anniversary and it was fantastic! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance was busy and energetic but quiet enough to have a conversation. Menu highlights for me were the bacon wrapped dates, the asada flatbread (I forget the full name) and the flourless chocolate cake. Plus, they serve dancing goats coffee (my favorite). We'll definitely be back for sure.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Noisy Silk PurseI was with a large party at the "Pig" this weekend and they sat us in the upstairs dining area. The food was excellent, as usual, and the service was quite good. It's very pork heavy as the name would imply, with lots of smoky bacon as a main component of the food, even some of the cocktails. The gripe I have is with the upstairs space; the ceiling is relatively low with hard surfaces, so the noise level is so high that you have to yell to carry on a conversation. Our waiter literally shouted the specials at us and I could barely hear him. Not a great place for conversation while dining.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMIberian Pig always a winner! We go to the Pig for special occasions such as our anniversary or birthdays. We've been going for years and have never had anything negative either with the food or service. We also take out of town guests to the Pig.
The house Old Fashioned with maple syrup and bacon infused rye is outstanding! We've had a good portion of the menu and can honestly say every single item has been amazing it its presentation and taste. The cabrito (braised goat) is especially delicious - not a hint of gaminess. The octopus is amazing!
The staff is well trained and attentive. Leigh Ann the manager is excellent at guest relations and of course the kitchen led by Chad is glorious.
You'll spend $100 per couple, but it will be worth every penny!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Iberian Pig is one ofThe Iberian Pig is one of our favorite restaurants, and our most recent visit did not disappoint. We love the intimate but bustling atmosphere, the personalized service, and the delectable small plates. Our server made great recommendations for wine pairings, and the entire dining experience was a delight.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food and service.Very good food and service. The room was too crowded and I constantly had to move my chair because I was getting bumped as people passed by my table. We didn't have any privacy as my guest and I tried to have a conversation.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
