Hy's Steak House is an award winning restaurant in the heart of Waikiki. Open in 1976, Hy's has been a favorite of locals and visitors for 30 years. Hy's specialties include Kiawe broiled USDA Prime Beef, succulent Lamb, great seafood as well as tableside preparations of many classic dishes. Hy's… boasts an exquisite wine list with an emphasis on reds from the most reputable vineyards from around the world. The ambience is Old-World, classic and very comfortable. Hy's is renown for its signature showcase steak broiler, where the steaks are expertly broiler over Kiawe wood. Kiawe is a Hawaiian hardwood that burns at a very high temperature and adds the perfect flavor to the broiled prime beef. In Hy's library lounge there is live music nightly from 2 of Hawaii's top entertainers. Valet parking. Proper dress required.Continued

"We celebrated my fiance's birthday here last week. We were seated in a booth towards the back, which was actually quite secluded. The service was okay even though it was pretty busy. I've been to Hy's many times before and their food is always delicious!"

"We enjoyed our times with friends together with good food. Only thing that was missing was the service with Chapagne/Wine; seemed too busy and we had pour our own Champagne/Wine serveral times. There should not any rule for the bushelp to assist in this service (saw few just standing around). The server was too busy with perhaps large station??? We still enjoyed our time together!!!"

"We have gotten into the habit of going to Hy's for special occasions because we can count on a memorable experience. We again had our favorites - peppercorn and teriyaki steaks and Caesar salad, and enjoyed them while listening to Audy Kimura's music. Perfect!"
