I took my 90 year old mother to Hutch for Sunday brunch. It was extremely busy and really loud, but she loved it. She uses a walker and it's difficult to navigate stairs and even ramps. Even though I requested "walker accessible" for the table, we were seated in a "step up" area. That turned out not to be a problem; busman, and even the patrons, couldn't have been more helpful if they had actually picked my mother up and carried her to the table. Even the valet was totally into helping me with Mom. It was very impressive. The food was yummy. We started with blood orange Mimosas, and we had the corn waffle with fried chicken and a smoked salmon flatbread (both recommendation of our server, who was great). We enjoyed every morsel!

We had a great experience here the first time so brought a group of 6 with us this past Saturday night. The food was inconsistent and half right (didn't totally match description, burger was dry, steak was overdone). The cornbread is wonderful, but they melted the bacon butter on top of both orders much to the dismay of the 2 vegetarians in our party. The last time we ordered cornbread the bacon butter came on the side so I didn't think it was going to be an issue this time. It gets VERY loud in there to the point where we were having a hard time hearing each other. The night wasn't ruined, but it wasn't great either.

This was our first time to Hutch. Had the tuna and Hutch fries for appetizers, the grilled meatloaf and steak and fries for dinner and the white chocolate bread pudding for desert. All were delicious and perfectly prepared. We will definitely return. Service was just ok ... took a while even though it wasn't very busy when we got there. But overall this place is a gem.

The food was delicious! We will be back. The dining room has nice tall windows so you can see all the "action" outside. Lighting inside is a little dim. Bar looked nice but went straight to the table. My husband had scallops which he loved. I had a hamburger with mashed potatoes which was top quality. We also had roasted brussel sproats which I would go back just for them.Good beer and wine list.So Good

Hutch has become such a great go-to spot for a nice dinner. Classy, but casual, dim, but not dark, and great food/drinks with reasonable prices. We have taken family and friends here, and it's always won praises for it's unpretentious attitude and solid menu. If there is a model for a great, neighborhood restaurant, these guys are it.

Based on it's location and previous reviews, we opted to try this neighborhood gem in the Lakeview neighborhood. It was within walking distance too for us from our destination. We were there on a Sunday evening, it wasn't super busy but steady. Everything went fine. Service and food was excellent. Lived up to the descriptions on the menu. Recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner spot in this area without being too fancy, but still quite nice.

Went in for my first time, the drink menue was limited band has a lot of mandarin and orange drinks - not my favorite but they were able to accommodate and took one if the non alcohol drinks and made it alcoholic. We started with the chips and onion dip which was amazing, homemade chips and dip. Then for dinner had the new York strip, it was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor.

We've been to Hutch a few times and once again, great meal! You cannot beat the skillet shrimp with dunking sauce appetizer, I had the lobster mac and cheese which was wonderful (not heavy and very smooth) and my husband had the short ribs - they were great! Our server was very good and timely but once the restaurant filled up and became very busy, service was a bit inconsistent but we understood. Hutch is a great neighborhood restaurant - we'll be back!

We tried Hutch for the first time earlier this week and will be back to try other items. We had a light sharing meal. The Hutch Salad was perfectly dressed. We followed it up with the Salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked and we loved the polenta cake and the roasted corn and pepper relish. The Barrique Rrussian River Valley Ppinot Noir paired well with the meal. Anne was very helpful, informative and fun to talk to. The restaurant is on a busy corner and offers great people watching. At 5:30 on a week night the restaurant was very conversation friendly. We'll be back again to try other items.

The menu is diverse and all the selections are very good (we had trout, chicken, and French dip amongst us). The only downside is that it is VERY noisy to the point where I had to ask friend sitting next to me to repeat themselves. And it may be my problem, but I had to use the Flashlight app to read the details on the menu.

Great brunch spot, can't really beat $8 karafes of mimosas. (avail. in white peach, blood orange and regular) The food is delicious, the service is attentive and even when the place is packed your food comes out so quickly. The only negative is it does get a bit loud in there since there's no wall to break up the sound in the open dining space.

I have been to Hutch many times for dinner and brunch and it never disappoints. Notable selections on their brunch menu are shrimp and grits and chilaquiles. These two are some of my favorites. The dinner menu is also great. I especially love the wasabi crusted salmon and the braised short-ribs. I absolutely love this place. I live in the neighborhood and frequently dine at Hutch and it has always been delicious. The only "bad" thing is that I wish they had a more varied beer selection.

We have become regulars at Hutch because it does everything so right. Firstly, the atmosphere is comfortable, accessible and inviting. Secondly, the food is consistently enjoyable. The menu is updated seasonally and I think I've tried just about everything! (Had the Panko Crusted Chicken last night...DELICIOUS!) Thirdly, and most importantly, the people at Hutch are some of the friendliest hospitality professionals I've encountered while dining in Chicago. Management on down; everyone is working together seamlessly to ensure your experience is top notch. Lindsey the GM is awesome. Jeneva (our fav!) is sunny and hilarious! Marvin, Ally...the list goes on and on. Go for the food, stay for the awesome people. Thanks Hutch!!

We had 11 in our party, many from out of town, so I wanted to go some place with a wide range of options. Well, I waited until the last minute to make the reservation, but I was still able to get a table, which was amazing in and of itself. We probably had to wait 10-15 minutes for our table, but we were a large party and it was 8 PM on a Friday night, so I wasn't really bothered by it. That being said, the staff apologized to us profusely, and when we were seated they sent out a ton of amazing appetizers on the house- a charcuterie board, bean spread and artichoke hearts- all amazing. All 11 of us loved out meals, which included the panko crusted chicken, BBQ salmon, blackened tilapia sandwich and the French dip. We'll definitely be back!

I went with a group of 5 friends and we decided to order appetizers aplenty from the menu. Everything was VERY tasty, and very share-able. We tried the Hutch and Green salad -- fresh, tasty, and both were unique. The shrimp we ordered were large and tasty. The flatbread was thin, crispy and flavourful. The cutting board, presented very well, and had a lot of fun flavors to mix and match. Also, our waitress Emily was AMAZING. She has an excellent smile, makes great recommendations, and is knowledgable and attentive. A great experience.

We were going to Stage 773 and wanted to try a neighborhood restaurant before the show. There were 5 of us - we ordered an assortment of beers and the special cucumber cocktail (mostly ice although it was flavorful). We also shared the artichoke heart appetizer (4 pcs - more breading than necessary) and the white bean dip which was very tasty - but the marinated veggie that accompanied it tasted very vinegary. All entrees were just ok. Our bill was about $160.00 including tip.

I always pass by Hutch when I run through the neighborhood, and I'm so glad I finally decided to dine there. The BBQ chicken flatbread was absolutely delicious, as was the goat cheese salad. The food was delivered promptly - a lot sooner than I expected for how busy it was! And it was so good, I got the "Tot-chos" and my boyfriend got the Bacon Sausage corn waffles. I highly recommend both. The best part is - a carafe of mimosas is only $8! ($2 for single mimosa) Can't beat that price anywhere in the city.

The food left a lasting impression with all 4 of us! The Ribs were done with a secret sauce that was not to tangy or too sweet, they fell off the bone nd melted in my mouth!-I keep thinking about them! Cant wait to go back yum! The Salmon had a light flavoring on it and complimented the fish w/o overpowering it! I don't like fish and I loved this fish!! We had skillet shrimp and skillet corn bread for apps and could not get enough of them. The menu has something for everyone and even vegetarians, and wont break the bank!
