A word from Hutch
Hutch was conceived based on two ideas; people want to be comfortable where they eat and what they eat and drink has to be cravable. Hutch represents just that, a warm and inviting place to truly enjoy yourself and food that is approachable, and most importantly delicious.

Let Hutch be the place you come back to over and over. Come create memories, enjoy the best of what life has to offer, and come crave one great experience after another dish, by dish.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "I haven't been to hutch for lunch or dinner, but I've been for brunch twice and each time I got the chilaquiles - they are delicious! They are much better than a few other places around the city. The monkey bread was a bit dry the first time I went, but the second time it was MUCH better. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch. I made a reservation, but when I went without a reservation it was a 30-40min wait."

  • "We had brunch at Hutch the day of the Pride Parade. It was busy in the restaurant but not over crowded. Our server was attentive and the food was great. I recommend the Blood Orange Mimosas! I will definitely visit Hutch again when I'm in the neighborhood."

  • "First time here, what a disappointment. I ordered a steak med. rare. It came beyond well done. I would have sent it back but she took our orders our waitress completely disappeared. Bus staff brought the food out and we didn't see our server again until an hour and a half after we initially placed our order. And we had to ask the bus staff to get her then. The rest of my table's food was no better. I will not be going back to Hutch and I will be advising everyone I know to avoid the place."

  • "Second time here and we enjoyed all of our meals, once again. The only thing that was only so-so was the tuna appetizer, which was a little cold in the middle (ok to be rare, but cold?!) Was very surprised that the scallops were outstanding! I expected them to be good, but not great. The bean burger and the french dip were also very good and i loved my hutch salad."

  • "The noise level will keep me away. This restaurant has changed names a number of times. The food is good, nothing special."

  • "Hutch is just a few blocks fro Wrigley Field and offers a menu divers from the traditional bar food / ballpark food found in the area. This was a perfect find for a business meal before enjoying an evening of baseball. I would recommend and I would visit again."

  • "Tasty mimosas and great food. Love this place but I highly recommend making a reservation. The place fills quickly for brunch. Well worth it!"

  • "Our service was great, that is what made our experience. Our server was friendly and very attentive. Great drink menu and our drinks were well made. I had a great meal however my boyfriend was extremly dissapointed with his steak. For a $50.00 steak he said it felt like "choice" meat not prime. It did not melt in his mouth. We would return however we would not waste the money on another steak meal. Stick with the basic menu and it will be more worth the money and experience!"

  • "We ordered one of the specials which disqualified us from using a Groupon that already had Sun-Thurs restrictions on it. Overall the experience was fine and the food was good for a neighborhood spot, but they missed the mark on their "deal" in this case."

  • "We had more ppl show up then i originally made reservations and everyone worked together to get us the right table. Our server was very friendly"

  • "The scrambled eggs were luke warm. Fortunately, the remainder of the items were hot so the taste of the eggs warmed."

  • "During our numerous visits to your restauarant, we have frequently returned not because you food is out of this world ( it's good and reliable ) but because service was exceptional. This week, in an almost empty restaurant, we were largely ignored, left waiting and generally frustrated by the poor service. Fix it or you will end up much like your predecessor."

  • "When your waiter comes back and asks if you ordered. Yes after waiting for a while to order. The busboy got our beer and flagged our waiter down a few times. I am very tolerant, but jeez is no one in charge here?"

  • "I have been to Hutch several tines- it's always been good. By my brunch this past Sunday was by far my favorite experience there. Our server may have been the sweetest person on the planet. For real. We had a blast and will definitely be back soon."

  • "Great neighborhood spot, consistently great food. Easy to get reservations. I continue to recommend Hutch to my friends."

  • "Server was quick to greet us and eager to take our order. Good cocktail options and some unique ones. Table next to us had salmon that looked really good so I went with that and my friend got the hutch salad with salmon. They forgot the grilled vegetables side so that's my only complaint that it took a while to get those. The salmon was delicious with a corn salsa and bbq sauce. It was a good size portion too for the price. The dessert menu looked like it had some good options but we got yogurt instead. "

  • "We are new to the Lakeview neighborhood. After looking at apartments all day we used Open Table to find Hutch. We really liked the room, with its big windows on the street level. It was very noisy, though, making conversation somewhat difficult. With one exception, the food was excellent. The kale salad did not seem very fresh, the leaves kind of limp. (But it still got eaten.) Everything else was wonderful. The wait staff were great, keeping the water glasses filled and removing the dirty dishes promptly, all without calling much attention to themselves . We will return often."

  • "Start with the Hutch fries, which are delicious with the truffled cheese fondue (the giardiniera ketchup was nothing special). However, I'd skip the cornbread, which was basically ruined by the odd addition of jalapeños. The baseball cut steak is a delicious and well-composed dish. Will definitely return."

  • "The bottomless mimosas were tasty, but nothing else was special. There are several better brunch options in the neighborhood, so we won't likely return except for dinner."

  • "I regularly go to hutch for brunch as it has great classic brunch options (omelette, yogurt parfait) and some unique offerings (totchos). You can't beat the $15 all you can drink mimosas either!"

  • "Good salads, burger, flatbread, scallops, steak with changing sauce & sides. Nice desserts. Easy to get a little or a lot. Tasty Blood orange margarita. "

  • "Took forever to get our drinks, and food was very mediocre "

  • "Steaks were overcooked, mussels lacked salt. Service was friendly with willingness to accommodate customer requests. Not worth going back."

  • "Scallops, steak, BBQ salmon, charcuterie platter, desserts: all great. Friendly service. Good drinks. Nice wines. We keep going back. "

  • "When we went they were "having problems in the kitchen" and it took us 45 minutes to get our food. Our waiter was very nice and have us a generous coupon for next time. Okay food. Nice waiters. "

  • "We went to Hutch on a recommendation from a friend that lives in Chicago. The food was great, the service impeccable and the host staff helped us pull of the "surprise" when our guest of honor arrived. All in all, a great success, and I would recommend this place to another friend, for sure."

  • "I have been to Hutch twice now and both times it was very good! They have a variety of options and every menu item I have ordered has not disappointed. They have good portion sizes and the wait staff is knowledgeable. "

  • "Food was good but nothing special. Wine list is reasonably priced with many choices by the glass. Service was very friendly and attentive."

  • "Had never been before, so not sure what to expect. Walked in and was greeted immediately and shown to our table even though we were a bit early. Our waiter was Andy and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. We ordered some wine to share and decided that we wanted to share several things so we could try them. Let me tell you, the Hutch Fries are worth the calories. Truffle fries with a cheese fondue for dipping, yum! We also had the Hutch Salad that had creamy goat cheese, cranberries and toasted nuts, and the Tomato soup which I highly recommend. We split the chicken entrée all so we could save room for the dessert and it was well worth it. We tried the Caramel Pretzel Ice cream and the Peanut Butter Nutter pie...YUM!"

  • "What a disappointing time we had here. I had purchased an offer via Gilt City and called prior to ensure that it was OK. The hostess assured me so. Service during the meal was fine (she did take my martini before it was finished) and the food was fine. Imagine our surprise when the server said she wouldn't accept the offer because it was Mothers Day night. I said that I'd called prior & asked to please check with her mgr for an exception - the offer expired in 2 weeks and the restaurant was more than half empty when we arrived at 7:30, so at least we hadn't taken a valuable table. She came back and said "my manager refuses" and asked if we lived in town. I asked if that made a difference. "No, it doesn't." I hate that we have to go back."

  • "We went to Hutch pretty late on Friday night and sat on the patio. Nice atmosphere and the food was good. We had the shrimp appetizer, the pork chop and the filet special along with 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine. Everything was good, but we just walked away feeling that it was all a bit overpriced. "

  • "I don't know that Hutch is anything amazingly spectacular but they do some good, solid food. I had the pan seared pork chop with grilled peaches and broccolini. They used too much butter on the broccolini but it was well cooked; the peaches could have been grilled for a few more minutes to make them a bit more soft but the pork chop was cooked perfectly. In midst of Wrigleyville, the place is one of the better food options and does new American food pretty well. "

  • "I took my parents and boyfriend here for brunch before going to an afternoon Cubs game. I had a reservation but it was unnecessary-- it's a large restaurant with lots of open seating. Our food was absolutely delicious-- no complaints there. And while the staff was very kind and polite, they were also slow and lazy. Many times we'd be waiting around for a refill, or for our order to be taken, or for the bill, and we'd look over to see all the servers standing around to talk to each other. They also forgot to bring one of our dishes to the table, but the waitress did offer to give it to us on the house. If you have patience for slow service, it's a good place to dine. The food really was excellent."

  • "It was a busy Saturday night so our dinner came out and they forgot to bring our appetizers. A long wait between every course, we decided on desert and that took over a half our to get to our table after ordering. The food was very good though, if the service was better I would consider going back"
