Hush Restaurant & BarMade this carnivor happyMade early (5:45pm) reservations. We were taken to a table right away. Wait staff was very attentive and quick thruought our meal, probably because the evening dining crowd was not yet in full-swing. We had the 10 oz prime rib with sweet potato fries and the 7 oz tenderloin with roasted potatoes. As mentioned by other reviewers, it took some time to get to us but was well worth the wait. Meat was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Portion size was just right (we had no appitizers or dessert) to feel full but not overly bloated for an after dinner stroll to the waterfront. Would definitely recommend Hush for anyone able to take time to wait a little bit for a really good meal at a very reasonable price.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theatre treatHush worked well for a pre theatre dinner at the Princess of Wales. Very varied menu - lots to choose from and well priced. Our server, Richard, was an Irish gem - excellent service, charming, perfect balance of friendliness without being intrusive. We will go back.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service.Excellent food and service. Ribs were amazing... so were apps. Very attentive wait staff. Great for pre or post theatre.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHush restaurant has excellentHush restaurant has excellent food and service, in a lovely ambience. We eat there whenever we have tickets for the Princess f Wales theatre. A nice mean before the play makes our evening complete!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely spot. Great menuWe were a group of four with meat eaters and vegetarians. Good selection for both. We were celebrating an anniversary and the restaurant provided a lovely desert for the table. It is also wheelchair accessible which is very nice. We will b back. Dinner for four with wine, three appetizers four mains and three coffees was 200.00. Quite reasonable.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSleek and classySeveral colleagues and I visited Hush for lunch last Friday. It was pretty much empty until we arrived but that's understandable since it was a little past normal lunch hours, plus it was the Friday of a long weekend. The food was pretty good, although there were some people that weren't satisfied. The problem was that there was only one server and by the looks of it one cook, which is why the food took longer than normal. My steak was a very good cut; low amount of fat, tender, and juicy. I ordered medium-rare but got medium, however it was still very good. We passed on the roof-top patio because it was a little chilly but will definitely be returning on warmer days for some drinks.
I give Hush Restaurant a 4 out of 5 in my books.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI made a reservation for theI made a reservation for the patio but when we arrived the waitress told us there was no table left at the patio so we sat inside. Two minutes later she walked is to the patio where se had made room for us.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentNice menu variety. Meals were well presented and proportional in size. Meats were cooked as requested while service was prompt and polite. Atmosphere was enjoyable and would feel comfortable dressed casually or upscale. Prices were competitive with upscale chain restaurants but with better quality ingredients.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Pre-Theatre RestaurantI went to Hush for a pre-theatre dinner. I had the lobster grill cheese sandwich which was delicious. The next day I was still talking about the meal with my husband! The staff were attentive, but not overly so. We did not wait long for the food and it was reasonably priced. I would definitely go back and possibly check out their rooftop patio which I did not get a chance to see.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pre-theatre diningWe had a wonderful dinner before seeing the Book of Mormon. Our waitress was wonderful, very engaging. Water glasses always filled. It was a great meal. Mix of appetizers and salads - lobster tacos, vegetarian spring rolls, Thai Crunch salad (my personal favourite) and make your own s'mores at the table for dessert. Very clever and super yummy. Many other wonderful menu items. a favourite is the lobster grilled cheese!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service , great food!Once again, the service was great. Great location to eat before a show. You must save room for dessert and try the Smores.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodThis is my go to spot pre- theatre. It is gem in an otherwise tourist trap. Food is solid, desserts are borderline divine in their simplicity. Highly reccomend the lobster tacos and lobster grilled cheese. And their sweet potatoe fries are perfect. Smores rock, the skillet cookie near blew my mind.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot, no worriesNot a single complaint. Food, service, pricing and efficiency were all better than average. We were running late and it was no issue to slide the reservation and they had us out in plenty of time to catch our show. Staff was pleasant and attentive without being annoying. We'll be back.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
