I enjoyed a lovely lunch on a Tuesday at Hush. Try their Rocket Salad. Light, tangy dressing and the chicken coated in parmesan was very tasty. I sat near the front of the restaurant and enjoyed watching the street scene while I ate. That day, it was very quiet inside, probably due to the fact that I went there at 11:45. Service was excellent!

We went for lunch during TIFF.. King St. Was closed down, all the restaurants had seating set up on the street.. it was a fun atmosphere. One thing that never changes is the food at Hush.. it's always GREAT! A must try is the lobster grilled cheese - SO delicious, the burgers are great and the fries are delicious.. I had the turkey on flatbread and it was delicious. We will be back!

We had the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer, which was quite filling by itself, so take heed to the words "sharing plates," and the maple glazed salmon with root vegetables and rice, the portions were seemingly right sized. Best tip given the aforementioned comments is to ask the server about portion size. Beverages were a hard apple cider and blue liquor/lemonade mixed drink. Nothing spectacular, everything was satisfactory.

We dined in the rooftop patio. It wasn't brightly lit , but was very cozy. They had a choice if low tables , couches or high tables and we chose the couches. The food was tasty , the menu appeals to all. We had steaks which were cooked to perfection. We didn't enjoy one of our apps, they remade it but it still didn't seem right. They didn't include it on out bill which was considerate of them. They have a nice drink and wine selection as well, kept the cocktails coming all night!

Best part was the service and attitude of the staff -- very accommodating (we had a party of 15 and wanted to be on the patio) and attentive. Waitress was always coming around, never had to pour the wine bottle and never had an empty glass. Great food, servers downstairs were super friendly and even asked how everything was going when I came down to use the restroom. Good food is easy to find in TO, great service not so much. Overall I'd defo recommend this place.

Went to Hush Restaurant for the first time this week, and I'll be going back. They offer a different take on grilled cheese - blends of cheddar, brie with lobster! Yum!! Roof top patio looked fun for those who like to eat outdoors, but don't want to sit right on King St. West.

The Thai Nachos were great as were the Tuesday Mojitos for $6. But the California Burger and side salad was depressing ... the burger was over cooked and extremely dry. The side salad was very wilted and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. It took a long time to serve us the food. And the reason was bc they were out of toothpicks to cut our burger in 1/2. The service was great. The bartender followed up to see if we liked our Mojitos. Michelle the waitress was polite and check up on us. But when we communicated about the sad state of the salad no response came for about 10min later. Glad i went and tried them once. But dont know if I will go back.

The food was quite good but unfortunately our server was not. Without even offering water to start, she took our drink orders (2 beers, a glass of wine and a caesar). It took 20 minutes to get our drinks but at least she came over and apologized for the wait but again didn't even offer water in meantime. The wait for our food wasn't too bad. Our server didn't come around to check on us until about 2/3 of the way through our dinner which at that point we ordered 1 more glass of wine again taking too long to come. Our friend had to stop eating so that she could enjoy her wine with her food. She brought an extra beer that nobody asked for and when the bill came, it wasn't split up at all like how we had asked for it.

I made reservations for our group of 14, and was extremely pleased with Hush and the staff. Our waiter was funny and attentive, and had accommodated our request to be seated together. We ate about 7:30pm on a Sunday evening and it was perfect for us as we could carry on conversations without yelling to the other end of the table. The food was amazing!! I personally had the Lobster Grilled Cheese, which was a delicious version of a childhood favorite! Those that had steak or other meat entrees said the meat was so tender, they did not need the steak knives that were offered by our waiter. The beverage list from the bar was great as well. I can't say enough about this restaurant. I wish we lived closer (we are in the U.S.)!

We had dinner for 3 and it was just ok. I had the fish & chips. The fish was nice and crispy but overall quite bland. The chips were not good at all. Not crispy, in fact quite soggy. My wife had the Parmesan chicken and said it was fabulous, start to finish. My daughter had the beef tenderloin and thought it was good. Server was very pleasant and attentive. Very few people in the place at that time but suspect it was going to be busier later.

1st: requested patio seating, and was seated indoors. Hostess told me they seat people on patio if they have space. I went to check, patio had 4 people on it, so she moved us. 2nd: We ordered drinks and it took 30min to get refills. 3rd: we waited 2 hours to receive our mains the owner noticed and decided to come over and apologize and blamed a group that left w/o notice screwing them up; yet that group came in after us... so why would they be served before us anyways? 4th: he said 5minutes for our food to come out, it took 30min, while we watched every group that showed up after us get served. He offered free dessert, we wanted cheesecake and cake he said we could have s'mores. We just water to leave. He brought 2 desserts; 1 per 4 ppl.

This is my second time there and deliberately ordered something different to see if I would like it as much and I did. The service is excellent, which you would expect when a restaurant is more than half empty. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was there when we needed or else somewhere else - no hovering. Have had the lobster grilled cheese with poutine and now the burger with fries - excellent presentation on both, good portion for price and a good turnaround time if you want a sit-down lunch but need to return to the office.

I had expected more gourmet food experience, however, the fusion Canadian/ Asian theme is interesting and out of the ordinary making the pallet happy. Portions are filling as well with great presentation. The downside for the type, quality and quantity of food we found it overpriced even in the down town location. I wouldn't call this a romantic place but it's vibrant and trendy decor adds a interesting urban ambience to dining experience and it's right down town making it suitable for pre or post event occasions.

Menu was short (that's good) I had a hard time choosing since everything was desirable. Ordered beat tenderloin, perfectly cooked, nicely seasoned, came with green beans that had a spicy kick that was perfect with the beef, roasted fingerling potatoes. The side dish of gravy was disappointing but was not needed. I do not normally eat deserts but one of our party ordered Smors. The three of us shared, great! Came with a all cast iron grill with a flame to roast marshmallows, two each, perfect. Wine list was good, not too expensive. Decor was new and modern. Same the roof top terrace was closed. Next time.

Not bad but not great either, just OK (except the service which was very good). I have no idea who assigned them a $$ price category, but their menu seems very much $$$. Probably that's why prices are not disclosed on the menu they uploaded here. Do skip the desserts - they are boring, all four or five of them. If you want to dine on the upper patio, be warned, smokers come up there to light up and talk endlessly on the phone.

I had made reservations to dine (pre theatre) with a client and so, was surprised to find that they escorted me to a bar table (high/cruiser style) at the back of the restaurant. I made enquiries with 3 people (2 were waitresses) about moving to a vacant booth at the front dining area. They did not think it would be possible....and suggested that I should have specified I wanted the "dining area' when I made the reservation. How ridiculous! Finally after 40 minutes the 3rd person (could have been the manager, not sure) moved us to a booth where we could talk and relax. Won't go back even though the food was decent. Too much attitude!

There were just a few mains to choose from and that is not a bad thing. I had the asiago, arugula linguine. I enjoyed every bite even though I thought my arteries would be clogging from the richness of my selection. Desserts were limited and expensive. The shy desserts were ideal as you could have a taste of something sweet without a large portion. I noticed others ordering salads , soups and wraps. They looked wonderful. I would go that route next visit. You can't beat the location if you are going to TIFF, Roy Tomson or the theatre.

Our server was nice enough but service was just bad. He messed up my steak and brought a strip loin instead of filet. Even though he comped our second round of drinks I just didn't feel like he was sorry at all. The restaurant was empty I just don't understand how our order was messed up! Food was good, not great. I ended up sending the strip loin back for what I originally ordered. He apologised at the end but it didn't feel sincere. Needless to say, we won't be running back there anytime soon.
