A word from Hurley's Restaurant and Bar

Hurley's Restaurant & Bar is in the town of Yountville located in the heart of Napa Valley. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere where great food, wine and service come together. Executive Chef/owner, Bob Hurley combines fresh ingredients with a little Mediterranean flair to create a local California cuisine high in flavor. Wrought iron fencing encloses a large, heated patio for casual dining. Or relax and enjoy a drink at the lively bar that is graced by warm mahogany and amber lighting. The inside Dining Room, highlighted by a stone fireplace, is a favorite among locals and winemakers.

The menu has been expanded to include late-night dining and can be enjoyed every evening (at the bar or on the heated patio) from 9pm to midnight.

Hurley's Restaurant has the perfect dining areas for groups of varying sizes. The management staff will be happy to assist you to arrange your next party.

  • "We were disappointed in the food selection and quality. I ordered crab cake appetizer that turned out to be obviously frozen--could have come from from any grocery store--more filler than crab. The wild boar entree was overcooked like your grandmother's Sunday roast, supposedly because it "would be tough" otherwise, but I've had lots of game dishes that could be prepared well without being beyond well-done. Our server was very good and attentive. The black pasta dish my wife ordered was tasty, but not as described in the menu. Al in all, there are too many excellent restaurants in the area to consider going back here."

  • "Had a great time at Hurley's. Made last minute reservations and we were seated on the beautiful patio for a lovely evening meal. Started with a creamy Clos du Val Pinot Nior that was available by the glass, but was so good we bought a bottle. Enjoyed the calamari down to the last crumb; followed by the squash blossom fritters, yum a must try. Entrees were just delicious - Alaskan halibut special and the pork chop were superb. They even made our requested changes to alternative sides. Enjoyed some nice expressos along with gelato and really fresh strawberry shortcke. Our waitress, Roishaan was excellent. All of the staff were very engaged and professional. We had a great time!"

  • "It started out by us arriving 10 minutes late for "happy hour" but the "manager" got us a happy hour cocktail anyway. We brought an outstanding 14 year old Cab and gave a taste to our waitress (You should bring a special wine with as there is no corkage charge). Service was excellent and very co-operative. On both of our dinner orders we needed to request substitutes and they were fine with it at no additional charge. My wife had short ribs, a featured item on the regular menu and I had halibut, a special item. Both were excellent! Properly cooked, hot and just plain yummy. We shared the special heirloom tomato soup which they brought in 2 separate bowls. We both had coffee which was also very good. All was outstanding! GREAT!"

  • "My husband and I enjoyed al fresco dining. Service was excellent and included a black linen napkin to protect my black linen capri pants. The maitre-de offered us blankets to warm us in the cool evening air. That, and the heat lamp, made for a perfect outdoor dining experience. Delicious bread set the tone. I had two appetizers for my meal: heirloom tomato soup and a roasted beet salad that had every wonderful ingredient in it. My husband's seared ahi tuna was sublime. We almost fought over the last piece. His chocolate cake with gelato was an excellent coda to a great meal. I enjoyed their signature ice-cream sandwich with a praline layer in between 2 chocolate wafers and vanilla gelato. Ambiance, service, great food - perfect!"

Hurley's menu is very diverse but I still was having a problem finding something that would work. Our server asked what would be suitable and he arranged to have the kitchen prepare a lovely dinner for me. Now that was service!! My dining partner loved what he ordered, an calamari appetizer and a fish dish. Hope next time we're in Yountville, I'll be fine and able to choose one of the delicious menu options."

  • "This restaurant was highly recommended by some other tourists we ran into and received great reviews on Open Table. Thought we'd give it a try. Beautifull view if you sit outside. Appetizers were good, not great, but very pricey for the small dishes served (there were TWO whole squash blossoms). I did not like my entree, gnocchi with vegetables. It was in a brown butter sauce or I should say swimming in a brown butter sauce and had a strange flavor. My husband ordered the wild boar which he said was good but it was very dry. Did not bother with dessert. Will not be returning here if back in the area."

We were pleased when the chef also offered more fish dishes as specials that night for "lighter" fare on a warm summer night. Everything was plated beautifully and served hot. We enjoyed the friendly servers and helpful waitress. Our meals were delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be repeat customers! P.S. We liked their "no corkage fee" philosophy for those who like to bring a wine from their own cellar for dinner!"

We missed seeing Bob & Jerry (they both had the day off), but everything was spot on. Perfect weather, just a slight breeze and the temperature were right on. Ordered the Boar and it was served over creamy polenta aong with root vegitables - which is both a favorite dish of mine and the chef's specialty. Awesome."

  • "First, we are locals who frequent Hurley's. On a Saturday night in late May we were told reservations for our party of 6 were only available at 6 and 8 PM. We took 6 PM but wanted 7 PM. Throughout the evening the dining rooms were never more than half full, and usually less. This has happened on more than one occasion. Policy needs review. Suggest call the restaurant and insist on the time you want. Server had good intentions but kitchen snafu caused a one hour wait between starters and entrees. In all, we were there 3 hours. Disappointing. "

  • "Our server was extremely inexperienced when I ordered a Split of the Pride she had no idea of what I was talking about. She asked me twice and then had the manager come out to ask me again? We ordered more cocktails and they never came. When she described the Venison special she never included that it was covered in pepper. Covered in pepper is an understatement- the meat was delicious but so coated with pepper it was ruined. The Wild Boar was great as usual."
