A word from Hurley's Restaurant and Bar

Hurley's Restaurant & Bar is in the town of Yountville located in the heart of Napa Valley. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere where great food, wine and service come together. Executive Chef/owner, Bob Hurley combines fresh ingredients with a little Mediterranean flair to create a local California cuisine high in flavor. Wrought iron fencing encloses a large, heated patio for casual dining. Or relax and enjoy a drink at the lively bar that is graced by warm mahogany and amber lighting. The inside Dining Room, highlighted by a stone fireplace, is a favorite among locals and winemakers.

The menu has been expanded to include late-night dining and can be enjoyed every evening (at the bar or on the heated patio) from 9pm to midnight.

Hurley's Restaurant has the perfect dining areas for groups of varying sizes. The management staff will be happy to assist you to arrange your next party.

Seating outdoors was helped by the perfect napa evening weather. Service was attentive and very personable. Food choices lived up to their descriptions in terms of both quality and creativity. Suggested wine pairings were right on target for some unusual dishes. Evening could not have been better."

  • "This was our first time and several people we talked to did not overly encourage us going,so we checked it out earlier in the day. We found it to have a very comfortable atmosphere,so we decided to continue with our reservation as planned. It was not over crowded being a Wed night and we ate later 8:00. Our waiter was Fabian who was wonderful, hostess that night was also lovely the no corkage fee for our champagne was a big plus !The food choices were plentiful and the food did not only look great but was prepared perfectly. We look forward to our return !!"

  • "We have been to Hurley's many times and love it; it is one our faves and we live in Napa. Our most recent lunch, however, was a bit disappointing. The mushroom soup course was fabulous. But the fish stew was not. It's hard to say why exactly, except that it lacked any definitive flavor - no wow factor, as if some herb was left out."

  • "Made resers here for Sunday 3-16 expecting an Irish themed menu for St P's day ad per multiple posts on Facebook, nextdoor Yountville, Yountville CoC etc stating as such. So arrived for dinner and was given the same old Menu as usual. Inquired with the waitress as to the Irish themed menu (I had even picked out what I would order in advance). I got various explanations for example "we're not doing that tonight" to "maybe they changed their minds" when confronted with said website info. Deer in the headlights look. Well, we ate here anyway it was OK but not what I wanted."

  • "We have eaten at Hurley's many times. Have liked it every other time. This time it was only so-so. I had the salmon and it was undercooked. I had to send it back and it was still a bit undercooked. The menu nor the server indicated that the fish would be cooked on the rare side and I never had to indicate how I wanted it cooked. My wife's swordfish was also undercooked. Maybe they were having a bad fish day. We will go back again, but if this situation should occur once more it will be taken off our list of favorite restaurants. Hopefully that won't happen."

  • "We have been to Hurley's multiple times in the past few years, but our most recent visit on March 9th was very disappointing. We had a 6:30 reservation on a Sunday evening at a time when the restaurant was not at all busy. We did not receive our entrees until 8:00 pm! When l inquired of our server why there was such a long wait for our dinner, she tried to tell me that 2 members of our 6 person party ordered salads prior to dinner and therefore our entrees weren't started until after the salads were completed. Yet, the empty salad plates had been on the table for half an hour. I wish l could say my $28 tuna was worth the wait, but it was marginal at best. I would certainly not recommend this restaurant."

A special tonite was oven roasted filet of mahi mahi served on a bed of lobster infused risotto with artichokes, red pepper and olives. The fish was perfectly cooked. Flavors were subtle and complex and delicious. An asparagus salad and bucatini with scallops were also first rate. Not a false note anywhere. Impeccable service . The room is attractive without competing with the food but the noise level makes conversation almost impossible....the only negative in our opinion."

  • "Came for Valentine's Day. Arrived promptly at reservation time, but you could tell they had overbooked. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for our table. The complimentary glass of Schramsberg was nice. Wanted to order a bottle of wine, waiter came back 5 minutes later and said they were out of it, which was disappointing. 3 course menu with options for the evening. Our main courses weren't great. The Filet was dry and my wife's Potatoe Gnocci sauce was runny. The desert (ice cream sandwich) was great, though. Service was good, but for $175+ for the meal, I was expecting the evening to run a little more smoothly. With all the great choices in Yountville, not sure there is a reason to come back."

His special occasion dinners are always a treat, such as the Valentines prix fix we enjoyed the the other night. Despite its' Yountville pedigree Hurley's can have that feel of a locals bistro and bar where all are welcime and the food and spirits are worth the visit."

I didn't realize that there would be a price fixe menu that night which was a little more than I had planned on spending, but it was certainly worth it. Food is fabulous! We all ordered something different for all 3 courses and shared. Everything was amazing!"

  • "Our meal food wise was very good, although the restaurant failed to warn us that they had a pre picked $75 pp menu since it was Valentines Day. Had we known that we probably would have tried another spot. Our reservation was for 8pm and we checked in about 20 minutes early, only to wait in a crowded bar until 8:20 for our table, which at a spot this nice is unacceptable. Besides the wait being frustrating they were very accommodating and the food was good. The restaurant was packed so it was loud in the dining room."

  • "4 of us had a late lunch using their 2-course specials. All of our choices - Potato Leek Soup, Sautéed Petrale Sole Doré, Chicken Breast Saltimbocca & desserts were nicely prepared & delicious. The service was just okay because our waitress was hesitant & uncertain about some items & how they were prepared. Otherwise the dining room was inviting & not too noisy. Since there are so many choices of good quality restaurants within walking distance..... not sure if we'll return, but we had to try it once."
