  • "Since the last time I ate at Hundred Rox, they have remodeled the lobby and dining area. And I must say it is not an improvement. The once cozy dining room is now open to the lobby and feels very cold. The romance is gone. The food and service are excellent, as before, but I have to give it a downgrade due to the ambiance, or lack of it."

  • "We had visited Hundred Rox a year ago on a previous visit to Sedona and loved it. This time was very different. Wait staff were very slow, the music too loud, the food bland. Two of our party had the chef's salmon special of the day and reported that it was both small and tasteless. Perhaps it was an off day, or else they have changed chef since last year, but this was a disappointing evening. It may be worth another visit to make sure, but expectations are low."

  • "Hubby Dearest and I booked an early table; when walked into the lobby, we were offered a glass of wine and some hors doeurves; what a lovely surprise that was! And serving the tasty treats was Joseph, the sous chef! We so enjoyed meeting him and chatting with him. We were there on a Monday night, so we nearly had the place to ourselves (which we enjoyed immensely). We tried several things on the menu and were duly impressed with every single one. The tomato soup (with cashew nut) was divine. Crab stuffed trout was out of this world! The lamb - amazing. Even though the food (i.e. menu) is what brought us there, the service is what's going to keep us going back! Great experience! Oh - and don't miss dessert!"

  • "The food was tasty, well prepared. Service on Valentine's day was very slow. We waited a very long time to see the server initially and to get drinks. We ordered a side of asparagus and they brought literally 5 asparagus tips. They were good but not worth $1/asparagus tip. What did they do with the rest of the asparagus?? The hotel the restaurant is in is phenomenal. It is too bad the same cannot be said for the restaurant."

  • "We arrived for a early dinner, and began as the only guests in the restaurant. A few other tables filled, with our server handling all. It took about 20 mins for our appetizer to come out. After the appetizer, it took another 25 mins for our entrees. Meanwhile the same lone server was waiting on all of the incoming guests...5 tables.. 8..10.. 12 tables. She had a little help from someone who brought out some if the food. By then several other tables were complaining about the wait. We ordered dessert, and that took another 30 mins to come out. There are plenty of other restaurants in Sedona, so we won't bother with his one again."

  • "The restaurant is lovely, but the food is not fit for foodies....it is just good. We had a shrimp appetizer and short ribs-- both were fine. I am not sure why the wait-staff do not tuck in their shirts-- it seems unfinished for a nicer establishment."

  • "The live music was fantastic. However the food was nothing special. If this were a casual dinging restaurant I would have been more satisfied, given the preparation and quality. The price was quite high for the quality of the food. We ordered four courses and each were so-so. The shrimp wellington was okay. The arugula salad was barely dressed (and I like a light dressing, but it was practically bare greens with a few sprinkles of other ingredients). I ordered the braised short ribs and there were fine. Again, I was not very impressed, but it was an okay meal. I have had better short ribs at casual dining restaurants in Tucson. My husband ordered the lamb and also said it was okay."

  • "This was my second visit. The ambiance was very nice. The food was good with interesting combinations. I had the sea bass which was a small portion but nicely prepared with wild rice combining interesting textures. The organic greens salad was very tasty but on the small side. I would have given 5 stars if the portions were a little larger. The resort staff gave good service, our car was already outside waiting for us from valet parking when we finished dinner. It was a nice evening."

  • "I've heard great things about this restaurant and how wonderful the ambiance and food were. As a foodie, I was super excited to take my boyfriend for his 33rd birthday. He had eaten there years ago and raved about it. Unfortunately I'm super confused because we were seated in an area resembling a casual diner; fit for maybe continental breakfast? We were basically IN the lobby of the hotel and listening to folks check in only a matter of feet away. We ordered a drink as to not seem rude and the drink was fabulous. However, this was NOT the fine dining experience that we had thought it was going to be and decided to leave to go next door. I can't speak for the food because we decided not even to stay long enough to order.."

  • "Even without the beautiful Amara view, because we arrived long after dark, we had a delightful dinner to celebrate our wedding held a few years ago at Amara. Many changes at the resort since but dinner was delicious, plentiful and elegant. Service was highly attentive and welcoming; we enjoyed the lovely personalities of all staff. Every course was delicious and we are discerning diners. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked and plentiful, the vegetables crisp, the salad combinations perfect, and dessert decadent. Check out the fire pits on the patio afterward with your drinks and your honey, very romantic, even if you didn't get married there!"

  • "Very small dining area surrounded by hotel lobby (with TV) and bar (also with TVs). The outdoor patio looked amazing, but it was too cold to be open during our visit. Menu was limited menu because of the holiday ... lobster bisque, salad, filet mignon/lobster, creme brulee/bread pudding. Service was a bit slow (it was holiday), but the food was amazing. Portions were spot on so that you could enjoy the full meal and still have room for dessert. Atmosphere was not as impressive. Will definitely return because of food quality and a chance to enjoy the outdoor patio."

  • "had been staying at Kimpton for couple of days and had eaten at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch a couple of days. We were looking forward to our Christmas dinner and have to admit we were disappointed - we both had the lobster bisque which arrived at our table barely warm. My husband was very happy with his turkey dinner. My steak was absolutely delicious but arrived with barely a scoop of mashed potatoes and carrotts that were undercooked."

  • "We made reservations for Christmas dinner (for 2) at this restaurant, after comparing prices and menu items against other restaurants open that day. I believed I had chosen a menu with some choices in an affordable price, and even though they did make a 1st course soup for me (out of other menu items) because I could not eat "seafood", the drinks were way over priced (and I was served a 2nd glass of wine because the waitress misunderstood me when she asked) and the meals were small for the "Christmas dinner" price! It was a good way to get their staff good tips for working on Christmas Day though! We spent over $200 on a Christmas dinner that was not as nearly as good as the Christmas Eve dinner we enjoyed elsewhere for half the price!"

  • "odd that there was a lady playing a keyboard and singing, and they sat us right in front of her. Felt more like a lounge/bar than a fine dining restaurant, fortuantely the food said otherwise.. Excellent meal and service, but there were unruly kids running around like it was a diner (parents fault - not the restaurant). Overall fabulous dinner, but the ambiance was very much lacking."

  • "Went on Thanksgiving for their Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. No food coma here, the portions were very small and the food was cold. The staff was extremely friendly, and the views were amazing. I would recommend going for a drink and sitting outside to take in all of the views."

  • "What started as a nice dinner at the resort deteriorated with sketchy service, ok food and a bill that had mistakes and a missing dessert. At least we weren't charged for that! We attempted to have breakfast the following day and again the restaurant was woefully understaffed. Empty tables every where but the hostess couldn't seat us or any of the other people waiting because there was no one to wait on us. We opted to eat elsewhere."

  • "Set a bit down from, but still in the Hotel lobby, this is a quiet place to get a meal. However, don't expect "cuisine". Most ridiculous to us was the appetizer "artisanal cheese plate". Seriously, a visual reproduction of type, but with mild supermarket cheddar, boursin, and unripened tasteless something else. Our (crab) stuffed trout tasted like neither crab, nor trout due to overwhelming medium/sauce for the crab...Wines were sub-par. On the bright side, some very nice young folks serving and pleasant. Sorry, despite our enchantment with Sedona, and the basically competent, but undistinguished preparation, we can't recommend this restaurant."

  • "We had a special occasion to celebrate and the entire staff (busser, server, manager, chef) were all as accommodating as could be. Truly delighted by the excellent service and food. This will be our " go to" place in Sedona for a great meal. The fish was sooo fresh and cooked to perfection. The apps were amazing and artfully presented. We felt like royalty. Quality of all food was top notch."

  • "Bfast - very good but a little pricey. We had omlettes and pancakes (2 visits). This will run $10-12 each plus beverage & gratuity. Food is very good quality. Dinner - service is excellent. Drinks very good. Burger excellent, Shrimp scampi very good, salmon ok minus the tomato sauce. Chocolate cake was ok. They work very hard on service and want to make sure everyone is having good time. Good live music. Beautiful venue with excellent fire places. Check it out!"

  • "We dined for both dinner and breakfast the next morning. The restaurant has a wonderful patio area and has beautiful views at sunset. They had live music the night we dined and she was quite good. The food was unremarkable. I ordered the lamb but was served beef. They quickly made apologies and returned 15 minutes later with the correct dish cooked to order. My wife had halibut which we were assured would come to our table juicy and not over cooked. It was over cooked but the good quality of the fish made it palatable. In the morning, our breakfast arrived without butter witch apparently had not been delivered. For the price of breakfast, they should have sent a valet the 3 miles to a grocery store and saved the excuse."
