Diner Reviews
  • "The service was very good and the food that came out, in great time, was fantastic. I wanted to go back for dinner and order the beet salad again."

  • "We went with a group of 6 people and everyone loved it. We are regular visitors here and are never disappointed. Highly recommended."

  • "Pam, our server, was exceptional. They had what appeared to be a Brazilian party night to introduce a new rum product. What a geat event. The food was tasty and came out at just the right pace. My compliments to the kitchen staff. 100 is definitely on my 'recommend' list. "

  • "A group of 11 went for my birthday. the food was only ok, I wasn't that impressed. I ordered 4 different drinks and non of them tasted right. The place wasn't very busy but it took forever each time for our drinks to arrive. I will not be going back here."
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "Food is fine, service leaves something to be desired. Too much flirting with the table next to us to come back for our order. Felt like we had to wait quite a while for our server to stop by each time and it wasn't very busy in the restaurant."
    Dined on 5/28/2014
  • "Service was pretty fast, food was tasty. Good spot for lunch. "

  • "While the server was accommodating, most things were pretty bland."

  • "We went there before the International Beer Fest. We were greeted and sat immediately. The wait staff were attentive. The food was WOW, but was descent a little over priced for the quality."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "I went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening aroung 7:45 with my husband and another couple. We found the service to be lacking since the server was stretched between too many tables. She tended to a very large group that ordered no food only alcohol. We were left for long stretches in between waits. The music playing in the restaurant was manageable when we arrived but got increasingly louder so we could not talk to each other across the table. The food was okay but my main dish was warmish not hot. Too spicy with too many chilies that drowned out any flavour in the rice dish. The alcoholic drinks we ordered were watered down. Overall not going to return nor recommend to anyone."

  • "The ambience was good, so was the music! The food was mediocre, at best. We have eaten at many Edmonton establishments over the years and I have never felt the need to write a review, until now. I realize it was busy, but our waitress acted as though we were not there, she was busy doing shots at another table;("

  • "The fries were dry, lack of flavor on the calamari."

  • "The service we had was great. Chandler was awesome! The food was good except what I ordered. The lobster roll was average. I would go back to Hundred but never order the lobster roll. It tasted like it was out of a can. The truffle fries were great and my wife's chicken pear sandwich was really good too."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Booked a table for a lunch with a new staff. Was a Thursday and was moderately busy but not loud so we could chat without yelling. We were in and out in an hour which is great for a business lunch. Only negative was the food was just ok. Had the Brie and pear chicken sandwich with house salad. Salad was good and not too much dressing. The sandwich had two sizable pieces of chicken but only two too is sized pieces of bride and it was all on one piece."

  • "Service was great, menu seemed a bit foodie oriented, I belive it used to be a "grill" imnstead of kithcen, and the meat on ouir ruebens was quite laced with grislty fat."

  • "Good food, good service, pretty waitresses...always a good place for lunch."

  • "Food was good, steak cooked to perfection. Expected the restaurant to tone down the music a bit for Valentine's Day. Overall a good experience."

  • "Waitress had a worse memory then my 98 year old Grandfather. No service for 20 mins upon arrival (and there were only a couple other customers in the place) Then she messed up the drink orders. Then she messed up the appetizers. Again we were her only table at the time. Wont be going back with all the other great places there are in the city that have competent servers AND better food."

  • "We had a great time, the food was amazing and service was great. Would definetly go back again. M"

  • "This was the 3rd time we've been there and we brought another couple with us and they also said they would never come back. When we first got there we sat for almost 15min before WE had to flag someone down to get menues and drinks. Food took WAY to long. Steaks were delicious. I'm a vegetarian and there is no vegetarian dishes so the cook made a dish of vegetable that were so under cooked I couldn't cut them and the barley was not cooked fully & I think butter was the secret ingredient because all our food tasted like was butter (my veggie dish and the smashed potatoes). On top of all that (we were there on feb 14) the bill included the tip!! We had to pay a$26 tip!!! NEVER AGAIN"

  • "My date and I had a great time! It was our first time at hundred. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and the place wa gorgeous!"

  • "Menu a bit expensive but food is good! Staff very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable! We enjoyed our evening!"
    Dined on 2/13/2014
  • "This is a beautiful setting: they've done a lovely job of fitting into an old building in a modern way. The tonic water in the G&T was off. The rice in the Hundred Bowl was sweet, which didn't fit at all with the savoury dish (the prawns were really good, though!). If I ever went back, I'd just have a bottle of beer (they couldn't possibly ruin a bottle, could they?) so I could enjoy the scenery!"

  • "The food was fabulous! The steak was perfect; presentation was pretty. I wasn't a fan of brussel sprouts but the chef has converted me. Definitely coming back."

  • "Went for lunch. Great food and service! I will be making this a regular occurrence for my downtown lunch appointments."

  • "We were looking for an after-theatre restaurant on a Saturday night. This place was close by and offered reservations later in the evening. When we arrived, the hostess exclaimed that we were early for our reservation. (We still had 10 minutes.) They tried to make us comfortable while we waited, but it was obvious tables were filled with people enjoying a few drinks. I think the restaurant should not offer dinner reservations when it cannot fulfill them. We did not stay, hence the 1 star rating."

  • "Took our friends out for her 40th birthday dinner. The entire experience exceeded all of our expectations. From the look and feel of this remarkable establishment, to the friendly service, and timely dinner service. We are new parents, so we don't go out to eat frequently; however, having received gift cards as a present, we were able to find an excuse to venture out, and discover a new favourite dining experience."

  • "Usually have a great experience at Hundred, but this time service was slow and inaccurate"
    Dined on 1/24/2014
  • "Food was cold and two steaks were sent back. Manager and waitress salvaged the evening by comping three meals. Don't really care for the new menu as well. Service from the waitress was great."

  • "I've been to Hundred Bar + Kitchen a few times now and the food and service have always been good. They also do a good job to serve you quickly over the lunch hour so you can get in and out within an hour."

  • "The staff is very nice and helpful and we did enjoy our time there for that reason. The food could have tasted good, but was horribly prepared. We were there on a Saturday night for a quick dinner and it wasn't nearly busy enough to justify the cold and overcooked food and stingy portions. The calamari was a flaky mess and you could barely pick up anything, we received brussels sprouts that were so black-brown and crispy they weren't recognizable and the lobster/shrimp po'boy was a dry bun with three toonie sized balls of deep fried something that didn't even resemble food... and were cold. The soup too was cold and had a slimy film on it. On the positive, the cucumber cocktail was wonderful. Would never go there to eat again... yuck."

  • "The location needs to do somehting about the winter weather they allow into the dining area. Service was slow and the food was average at best . Totally disappointed with the overall experience."

  • "Our wait staff were excellent and they accommodated my dietary needs (no gluten or dairy) with no problems at all. Excellent lunch!"

  • "Had lunch at the Hundred Bar + Kitchen on a weekday. Since it's a downtown, business crowd, you'd think an hour for lunch would be enough... it took almost an hour for us to get our food. The food was good when it finally arrived, but we had to eat fast to get back to work. Disappointing."

  • "Was first time for me at this place. Good food and service. Table was ready for our group, and service was quick. Pleasant server. Also gave us special coupons for next visit. Thanks."

  • "I made a reservation online and the confirmation email said i had 2 hours hold on the table which was from 1730 till 1930 when i arrived at the restaurant 1725 the hostess tells us that we have to be gone by 1845 cause there's other reservation well so much for 2 hours on the table !! The food was excellent but i fell like we were been push to leave asap"

  • "Food was good but I didn't it was good value. Nice view with all the windows which is probably why it was very cold in the restaurant."

  • "Went here before the hockey game, so was in a rush. Service was outstanding. Staff were attentative to all our needs and requests. Food was subpar. Considering Century Hospitality Group has several restaurants and the food quality is great at many other locations it was surprising that the food wasn't as good at this location. Staff made up for it by bringing out an additional appetizer and not charging us for the original or replacement. Great atmosphere for dinner as we were entertaining out of town guests."

  • "Took in the Hundred Club for lunch and enjoyed it but found the meals too expensive to be a spot I would frequent regularly."
    Dined on 12/11/2013
  • "Pros: Good food. Great location. Fun clientèle. My past few visits have been excellent so the below is hopefully an anomaly. Cons: My window seat was very cold. Granted, it was -25 or so outside, but the draft was enough to warrant keeping jackets on and has been the coldest indoor environment I've seen yet. It's expected to some degree, but it needs a mitigation (i.e. ceramic heaters.) It was busy enough there were no inland tables to move to. Then small issues that in isolation are fine, but cumulatively get annoying. The appy came out after the mains. The server was not into it and rather odd. Great place overall hopefully and off night."
