My wife and I ordered the Hult's Experience, one earth (vegetarian) and one Sea. Each coarse was fantastic, many of the items were one's that I had been considering on the menu. The service was spot on as well. We will definitely be eating here again.

My SO and I enjoyed our brunch wholeheartedly at Hult's. This was our first time dining here. The place was quiet and cool temperature-wise. The bar had Greek yogurt with granola, melons, toasts and bagels to snack on before our brunch came out. Chicken and Waffles was the best dish, and came second was Eggs Benedict. Chicken was very tasty, tender, and moist. The gravy enhanced the tasteful battered skin. The waffle was light and slightly sweet without the maple syrup. This dish was way better than the one we had at a well-known restaurant in Vegas for chicken and waffles. The portion size was good for one person. Eggs Benedict was just right. I liked the large amount of veggies on each one. The hollandaise sauce was light and airy.

Good food, ambiance, warm staff, timely service. Halibut special was delicious. Drinks are tasty and just right. Location is great. All they need is a more visible Hult's sign on the east facade of the building for those coming from hwy 9 and can't see the name of the restaurant in the front.

The bar and the service were outstanding. Sadly the food was not worth the price. It was expensive, small portions and nothing outstanding. The reduction on the duck was excellent but the duck itself was VERY chewy. The beets in the goat cheese salad had no flavor. We might hit the bar but will not be back for dinner.

I really wanted to like this place but I probably will only go back to the bar. I love how it is run by local people. We had amazing service and I loved the interior and the bar looks like a lot of fun to bring a group to. The problem was that the food was just not that great. The mac and cheese which everyone does pretty well, had a smokey taste and was way too cheesy, even for mac and cheese. It has be a good balance. The scallops and chicken dishes both had strange tastes and ingredients that just missed the mark and had my guest and I just not being able to explain what was wrong. The brownie dessert was very good.

The food was great! We each had the eggs benedict. It is probably the best eggs benedict that I have ever had at a restaurant. We had purchased a Groupon for bottomless mimosas and two meals, but also brought a kid along with us. While the atmosphere and service was very inviting toward the 10 year old, the food was a little too rich for him.

Usually, when I share a wine-pairing, they split it between two glasses as a courtesy (and seems a little classier). This time, we had a different server, and he didn't do that. Everything else was great, though, and everyone enjoyed their meals.

We had received a discount card for Hult and gave it a try. Food and service was very good. We had the Scallops cooked to perfection. We also had the duck breast that came with a reduced duck juice and a sauce. Duck was cooked medium (excellent) and the reduce juice was very good. I decided to try the sauce which proved to be also excellent. Had their pear cobbler for dessert which was very good. We'll be back. Located on hwy 9 just before the hwy 17 on-ramp.....Great view of the rush hour traffic on a Tuesday afternoon....

In addition, the ambiance is so welcoming and friendly that your dining experience very relaxing and comfortable. We had dinner here for our 50th anniversary and it couldn't have been more special. I found the limitations they placed on the dishes available to diners using the Groupon offer very dissatisfying. I chose the meat option for the 3-course meal, but was brought a calamari appetizer. When I asked why, they said it was because "the other choice" was the heirloom tomato salad, and I had specified no tomatoes. Why have four dining themes if you're only going to offer two actual options? I did not appreciate the inability to know what dishes were coming or to be able to give any detail if there happened to be an aspect to that dish that would render it inedible. The menu looked really interesting, and some of the food was delicious. Probably would have been better if I had just ordered off the menu and paid full price.

Girls Night Out. Trying a new restaurant that we had heard good things about their food and service, but that it was expensive. Had purchased a Groupon to keep costs down a little bit. The Groupon allowed for each diner to have an appetizer, entree and dessert.. plus a bottle of house red or white wine. We enjoyed the "theme" ideas of AIR, EARTH, LAND, and WATER... allowing the chef to choose which items to prepare. We were delighted by the "surprise" of each dish. Everything tasted delicious! Service was wonderfully accommodating, as well. The bar looked inviting for those evenings that you just want a drink and a bite... and maybe watch a ballgame. Next time, I'll take the Husband.

We were there for Sunday brunch, so it was a busy time. Wait staff was pleasant and overall competant. Kitchen was VERY slow and we had a long wait for our food. After the first course our dirty plates were not cleared even though it was obvious that we had finished since we had already ordered our second course. It took over 20 minutes for our second course to arrive and our dirty dishes were not cleared until it actually came to the table. Food was hit and miss…some entrees were "sold out" and some food could have arrived hotter. Not sure if we will be back, and this was the second time at the restaurant.

Hult's was nice, but the food could have been a little warmer/hot. By the time I got thru my eggs benedict, they were cold. Could be the temp of the restaurant itself which was a little cool inside. Service was great, and the bottomless mimosas kept coming.

First time visiting Hult's. Great service and the food was great! The design of the restaurant is such that you can sit in 'the fray' or in 'the quiet', which is really cool. While we didn't bring our kids, we totally would on a future visit. The restaurant is spacious and loud enough that kids (or groups) wouldn't deter from others' experience.

Impressed with the menu, the dishes my wife and I selected were all excellent (beet salad, octopus carpaccio, scallops and pork tenderloin) and delightfully presented. The waiter was extremely helpful, attentive and knowledgeable about the wines. The only negative was that the menu is a bit pricey and the price of the wine was ridiculous. The waiter suggested a bottle of French wine (Chapoutier's Domaine de la Bila Haut Les Vignes de Bila Haut) with which we are familiar and which is an excellent buy at about $14 a bottle ....charging $40 for this in a restaurant is a ridiculous mark-up.

Dinner and service was excellent. First time customers and we loved it. Cliff was great in the service area. Alex ( owner) came by to thank us for dining and make sure we were good on everything. Chef actually delivered the complimentary appetizer and took the time to explain it to us. It's not an inexpensive meal. But it sure was great, food was wonderful and presented well and the place wasn't too noisy even though most tables were full on a Tues evening. Even though we brought our own bottle of special wine, Cliff was attentive in not pouring too much every time he came by. In other places, staff sometimes keep filling the glasses more than enough to help empty that bottle too soon. That did not happen. We'll be back soon. candy

Duck was excellent. Wagyu steak was a big disappointment. Sauces were bland. Fries and potato puree were excellent but much too small. Had a very tasty Strawberry & Watermelon soup, but no bread or crackers. Service was adequate, but not attentive enough. A bit over priced because everything is a la carte. Still, we might go back at some time.

Service was very nice and atmosphere is pleasant. Food looks gorgeous but small portions, not as flavorful as we'd expected, and pretty pricey for us. We ordered 1 starter, 2 entrees, and 1 side dish - no alcohol and the bill still came to $81.00. We were lucky to have been given a $50.00 gift certificate to try this restaurant but without it we would have felt the cost was quite high for what we were served. However they were very nice to give us 2 complimentary glasses of sparkling champagne in celebration of our Anniversary so that was quite thoughtful. I doubt we will go to this restaurant again - there are so many great and reasonable restaurants in Los Gatos with many to choose from where you get more great food for money spent.

The meal started out poorly when we started with the shrimp appetizer - the shrimp was raw. We are not talking a little undercooked. The shrimp was actually completely raw. The entrees were also awful. I had the Fish of the day - California Halibut. It was slightly over cooked but the real problem was the excessive saltiness from the seasoning. It ruined the fish. My husband ordered the Wagyu ribeye medium. When it came, it was medium rare - almost rare. Given our experience so far, my husband didn't return his entree because we didn't have confidence the kitchen would get it right. Given our experience, we will not be returning to Hult's

This was our third visit to Hults. We found that everything was even more to our liking. The gentleman who waited on us was close to ideal. He was prompt, helpful and nice without being stuffy and overdoing his job. I am very fond of scallops. I found myself saying to my lady, " I think this is the best plate of scallops I have had ". The biggest problem with this restaurant is the parking. We had to walk about two city blocks. But parking is the problem that comes with Los Gatos and it's popularity. We have moved Hult's up to Outstanding in "Overall"!

My husband and I have been meaning to try Hults and was pleasantly surprised to learn they had a tasting menu along with a wine pairing for additional cost. Food was great, attentive and knowledgable staff. Our only complaint was that the courses were a bit rushed. We had an out of country visitor and talked a lot which meant we were eating at a slower pace - the pace of food and wine were not adjusted to our pace and we needed up stacking things at the table. Defeated the purpose of a wine pairing. Despite our request as well, we were not given a list of the wines we were tasting which would have been nice.
