Was seated outside along the balcony wall with a great view overlooking Waikiki Beach behind the Outrigger Hotel - beautiful view! Started with a glass of Pinot Noir and the Thai Basil Shrimp Lumpia appetizer - delicious. Enjoyed a Cruncy Beet, Feta, and Asian Pear Salad before being served the evening's dinner special which included two types of fish, steamed vegetables, and rice. Finished off the event with the Homemade Ice Cream Sandwich...
From beginning to end, the server was friendly, welcoming, and prompt with drinks and food. This turned out to be great as the staff were all pleasant and not yet tired from their shift. We got a seat right away and right at the railing toward the beach. Wonderful views from our location. Our waiter was very friendly and professional and gave us the right amount of attention,
My wife and I had drinks, I the Mai Tai and her the Hula Hito. Both were very good and the price was as expected for the area. I had the Seafood Special ($35) and she the Early Bird Special ($25) and choose the Braised Short Ribs. Both were prepared very well. A big plus was their Sunset Special. An appetizer, entree and dessert for just $25. What a great find. My husband had the miso scallops and the fresh fish of the day. Perfection. My potsticker duo was an interesting take on an old favorite, and the steak was cooked exactly as I wanted it, medium rare. The raspberry guava sorbet was lovely and bright, but the winner of the evening was the bread pudding. The best part, besides the price? The portions, though smaller, were JUST THE RIGHT SIZE.
