Hudson's On The BendAwesome!!!My husband I and very much enjoyed our dinner at your restaurant. Love the atmosphere!!! The basil mojito was so refreshing on a warm day. By far one of the best lobster bisque I've ever had. It was so flavorful and liked that it wasn't full of heavy cream. Fried soft shell was amazing. Loved the batter, it was different than anything I've ever had before. I had the elk tenderloin as my entree which was also delicious. Just the perfect amount of smokiness and it was melt in your mouth tender. It was definitely one of my most memorable meals. We came for happy hour initially, and sat in the outdoor bar area. Zach was our server/bartender. Phenomenal. The food was excellent, I love how the chef puts a little spice in every dish, but none is overwhelming. I also appreciated how they allow items from the tasting menus a la carte. It allowed us to create our own tasting menu, I believe we shared at least 9 courses! Highlights being the crab cake, the duck breast and scallops, the elk (omg), and the wild turtle pie. My only criticism is that I could have done without the asian-style vegetable medley that came with both entree courses. Pheasant is my new favorite but my husband loves the elk or mixed grill. They also stock our favorite cab, Neal.
The only change we would like to see is a less cluttered table for dining. The candles are very large and take up too much space when 4 people are seated. That along with flower vase and all the serving ware / glasses, too cluttered. On this occasion, my date and I had a small wait for a table even with the reservations. It gave us the opportunity to stroll the outdoor garden area. Once seated, we were greeted warmly and ordered the three-course Chef's Tasting Menu. All the courses were delicious (even the lobster bisque which was a tiny bit on the lukewarm side.)The beef tenderloin was the real standout! Spectacular.

Our only "complaint" about the food would be that the chocolate on our turtle pie was too thick and too hard to cut through easily; otherwise, the food was excellent. I wish our server had been as attentive as our busser. I don't remember him ever checking back to see if we needed anything.
