  • "Came here with a group of 6 for brunch. The jalepeno infused bloody mary was great, and everyone liked their food. I had the shellfish frittata, which was delicious, but I wish I had gotten one of the benedicts because those looked amazing. I love this place, so I was surprised it was a little empty. If they did a bottomless mimosa or bloody mary option, I'm sure it would liven up a bit!"

  • "The food was phenomenal. Our complaint is that the tables are literally on top of one another. I had to climb over my husband's chair to get up from table to use the restroom. My back was touching the back of the diners behind us. Other than that, we enjoyed the restaurant."

  • "Anniversary dinner. Reservations at 8 PM, arrive at 7:45 PM. There was a light shining on the bar so bright my date couldn't look my way. We asked for black napkins to cover the glare, the bartender replied "yeah, alot of people complain about that light." I had to ask 6 times to get it dimmed. Finally the manager dimmed it. 40 minutes go by, 2 2-tops and a 4 -top get seated that arrived after us. Finally we decide to eat at bar. Summer salad was great, great bread. Fish entrees were good but the sides were so acidic and had so much lemon they were uneatable. Date asked for an espresso. It came in a coffee cup and was burned, the shortbread cookies crumbled when touched. Sad that Bistro has lost its way. Goodbye."

  • "We came for the yearly LSAG Convention and wanted to find a good place to eat that was close to the Marriott and NOT a chain restaurant. Once I saw the menu I knew we were on the right track. The first table was not what we wanted so we were offered a booth. We had to ask for a table cloth (it was Friday night) - who wants to have a wonderful meal with good wine while sitting at a cold, hard tabletop? After those first few glitches were corrected we had the best night ever. We started with our fav pino and the Chef's special appetizer - tongue. It was a "mouthwateringly" falling apart morsel of goodness. Our waiter Matt (Mattie) made the evening special and became part of our dining experience. Do yourself a favor and eat here."

  • "Had the family in town for a special occasion. H&H's braised short ribs were absolutely delicious! Everyone loved their choices. . . we stuffed ourselves silly with appetizers and entres. They were so good, we piled on dessert too! Highly recommended (can you tell?)"

The atmosphere felt relaxed and not stiff and formal, but still you new you were in a high-end restaurant. Food was delicious as was the wine. If you are looking for peaceful, unstuffy gourmet, this is a great place."

  • "Superb in virtually every respect. The only slight niggle is price but its no more expensive than other high end places in the woodlands. The difference here is that the menu is exciting and food is truly excellent. We frequent the H&H kitchen frequently and its also amazing. The Bistro just extends the menu and ups the quality in a nicer setting. As noted, it is on the pricey side but great for a special occasion or if you want to go somewhere special with friends. Another stand out was the service.. Very attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff and good humour! Much much better than many of the established high end restaurants in the woodlands and we've been to them all....we will come back to H&H."

  • "We have eaten dinner here many times but didn't even realize they had a weekend brunch so decided to try it. The menu choices were so great that it was really hard to decide! The food was delicious, the service great & we had a wonderful time. We'll be back because we want to try more of the delectable sounding menu items. We watched servers bring out food to different tables & everything looked wonderful! 2 of us had the "create your own omelette" while one had the steak & poached eggs. Everything was hot & yummy! And the orange juice tasted like you were drinking it right out of an actual orange - so fresh! The peach (or apricot?) iced tea was SO good too!"

  • "We went to H&H with our son and his girlfriend for his birthday. It was the 4th of July so they were very busy. Service was very good and the food as always was excellent. The presentation of the dishes from chef Austin is always very nice. Steaks and snapper for our table was all great. This place can only get better when they finish the remodel."

The food is fantastic and they are willing to customize, the wine list is wonderful, the appetizers are outstanding, and the waitstaff is knowledgable and attentive. The only area they are lacking in is dessert - we have never had a dessert here that we enjoyed. After a couple of attempts, we go for dessert elsewhere now."

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed the seasonal offerings at the Bistro for lunch. Watermelon and Heirloom salad was not your typical version! The Orange powder added a vibrant burst of freshness while the creamy goat cheese really gave you a richness that could take this dish to a small entree level if need be. Seafood dishes were cooked to perfection. It's nice to order salmon that is soured properly and not farmed raised. Excited to see the expansion of the Bistro when complete!"

  • "The food was very good and the service was also great. We met another couple at the restaurant and after dinner we went to a concert at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion. We were somewhat disappointed that after spending over $300.00 on dinner, that we were also charged for parking because the concert time exceeded the 4 hour limit for parking for dinner. NOT COOL Something they should adjust for sure. "

  • "All of the seafood is fresh and flown in daily. Everything was unique, completely amazing and a pleasure to try. Even the unusual pairings on the menu like the Foie Gras in the style of Creme Brûlée, was a gem in the appetizer section. I've visited this place for lunch and dinner. While all of the seafood entrees at dinner have been wonderful, I have had great delight in trying some of the salad creations offered only on the lunch menu. I recommend this place for any foodie with a crazing for chef inspired, fresh food."

  • "I was looking forward to trying this restaurant. Service was slow and on a busy night I totally get it but we were about one of 5 tables in the entire restaurant. Steaks were cooked perfect but not seasoned well. Side dishes were so salty we had maybe two bites out of them. The desserts were so disappointing. Incredibly small and just not good. Oh and the appetizer was too salty as well. Funny how the steaks had no seasoning and everything else was too seasoned. We won't be going back. "

  • "We had a brunch to celebrate our daughter's first wedding anniversary and our son completing the Ironman triathlon at this Woodlands Bistro on May 18th, 2014. The table was in a great location in the dining area. The service was so amazingly good. The food was excellent and so were the mimosas and the Bloody Mary. We had ordered several different breakfast entrees and they were all good. One of the entrees was kept warm while waiting for when one of the members left for a brief time. We had an anniversary wedding cake which they served very graciously. We will be there again. This is our first dining experience in Woodlands. The Bistro has complimentary parking in the attached Parking Garage"

The layering of food flavors was exceptional...I'll describe it as a umami experience. The white asparagus with truffle oil and parmesan was outstanding, the quail has prepared perfectly and the sea bass was a must have. We will definitely return for a repeat experience. "

  • "We ate here for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Max, our server was attentive and extremely nice. We started out with the garden salad, which was quite large and tasty. My husband had the lamb chop special, which was crusted with Parmesan. It was huge and delicious. I had the sea bass with squash ravioli. Heavenly. There was more food than I could finish, so I did not order dessert. My husband had the peanut butter cup mousse, which he loved. It was a memorable meal and next time we are in town, we will definitely be back."

  • "We had a wonderful evening catching up with longtime friends. We each ordered something different, and each of us raved about our meal. I personally had the scallops, and they were magnificent. The presentation was most inviting; and thankfully the portions were a perfect size--not the usual lop over the side as is the usual size in Texas restaurants. Our server was most attentive but not suffocating. We did not sit in a booth so the conversation from the large table next to us did make it difficult to converse with our friends at times, especially since one of our friends is mildly hard of hearing. We had not been to the Bistro for some time, and we now plan to return soon. "

  • "They seated us in a kitchen. Seriously. They overextended reservations for Mother's Day. We sat in the teaching kitchen. Staff members came through and opened up their soft drinks and took a break while we sat and had Mother's Day dinner. A big fan was blowing air to ventilate another part of the restaurant. It was pitiful."

  • "I made reservations for Mother's Day, through OT which said it had a Mother's Day menu. One could select from a starter (larger than an appetizer), main course and desert and there were four or more selections for each. Everyone (Mom, Wife and daughter and me) had something different and no one was disappointed with their selection. Truly a great place for a special occasion."
