The hostess congratulated us when we arrived and the table was decorated with rose petals (so cute!). I can't remember our servers name, but he was great! The food was delicious! We will certainly be back! The location is perfect!"

From the black sea salt stuffed butter w/ fresh bread until the finish, I was astonished at the perfectly seasoned offerings ranging from seafood, to beef, to sweets. Let's home we can keep Chef Austin here because he is doing something special and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. I can't wait to go back. Wow."

  • "We haven't been to Hubble & Hudson Bistro for a while. We went for brunch and felt it was not up to it's prior high standards. We were given a lovely window table with a beautiful flower arrangement. That was much appreciated as we were celebrating a birthday. However, it took forever to get our food and the restaurant was not that busy. (We were there over 2 hours). The tomato bisque soup, usually a favorite, was cold and far too thick. The steak served with eggs (brunch menu) wasn't great. The roast chicken and baby vegetables were nicely cooked but I felt the sauce was too complex and ruined the lovely flavor of the chicken and vegetables. No effort was made to make the dessert special for the birthday girl."

  • "We ate at the bistro. When we went in we noticed a sign that the market was going out of business but the bistro would stay open. They have it all wrong. The bistro should close. Service is non existent. I ordered coffee and finally got a second cup when we were ready to leave. Almost 15 minutes before they took our order, and 45 minutes before we received it. Presentation was sloppy, like a 40's greasy spoon diner. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came medium well. I would have returned it except that I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes to eat. None of the dishes that were served to our foursome were well presented. lacks 3 things: good food, good service and decent presentation of the food when it comes to your table"

Our waiter was very attentive but not too much; food choices were intriguing and different; and the food was delicious. The steaks were done correctly and the sea bass melted in my mouth. I think the wine is a little pricey, so if you want wine prepare to spend. All in all a great night out."

  • "I had the scallops with Swiss Chard and mushroom Risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly with just the right texture. The mushroom risotto was rich and creamy with a lovely smoky flavor that melted in your mouth!! The portion was huge!! My husband had the corned beef hash and eggs and said it was one of the best he's ever had. (He's had a lot!!) would definitely recommend for brunch, lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere, service was friendly, prompt and our waiter was informative and had great knowledge of the menu. They have a nice little sidewalk patio great for people watching. Go!"

  • "Our food: the crispy quail, awesome as usual! We both ordered the 8 oz filet, cooked to perfection :) shared the truffle Mac n Cheese and tempura asparagus. So yummy! Foodies will love the experience here! However, the service left much to be desired. We have dined here on numerous occasions and have never had bad service. My husband and I ordered drinks, 15 minutes later, they arrived. His was wrong. When we ordered the steaks, he ordered wine to complement the meal. It never arrived. Our waters were not refilled. Service was slow and unattentive. For a $200+ dinner for 2, we expected the same service we've become accustomed to at H&H. Hoping it was just an off-night as it is our favorite restaurant in The Woods. :)"

I has the sea scallops and they tasted dirty, the rissoto was well under done. The kernels would break and form a powder texture in my mouth. I will think twice about returning next time"

  • "Had dinner with 6:00 reservations. Lobster bisque and tomato soup were very good (4 out of 5). Sea bass and striped bass were very good (4 out of 5). Brussel sprouts were OK (3 out of 5). Desserts were OK, small, and overpriced (2 out of 5). Service was above average (4 out of 5). Booths were comfortable. Noise level was higher than we prefer due to a loud group seated next to us. We will return, but go somewhere else for dessert."

  • "Unfortunately the chef has a heavy and redundant hand with flavorings. The lobster salad was uninspired and dressed with an very tart and unpleasant dressing. The quail appetizer and charred tomato soup were very nice in and of themselves but do not have them both. The pork osso bucco was dry and obviously reheated from a long-passed braising.. The big shortcoming was that the quail, soup, and pork were all flavored with what seemed to be the same heavy and very spicey powder. The chef needs to diversify his seasoning and learn to be more subtle in the use of flavorings. I had commented on this same serious failure in a previous review some time ago. Too bad the chef is not listening! Worth a try but be careful with your selections."

The food and ambience of the room will bring us back another night. We haven't made too much of a dent in sampling all the different menu items. My favorite starter is the prosciutto sampler. Hubbell & Hudson Bistro is worth a try if you are in the neighborhood."
