"The salmon, masked potatoes and grilled asparagus were all delicious. My only complaint would be that my dessert was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream. It was only when I asked about it that I was told they were out of ice cream.

This is a great place to eat before any event at the University of Illinois, especially at Assembly Hall."

"It's been about a year since we've eaten at Hoolihan's and we were very disappointed in the food that we remember being a lot better last time. The stuffed chicken, which I remember being full of flavor was bland and the crust fell off of the chicken breast. The asparagus was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were just okay. My husband ordered the house salad with his steak. The salad was finely chopped iceberg lettuce, cheese, corn, bacon and croutons. We both thought the corn was a little out of place. My husband said his steak was okay but didn't have much flavor. We shared a raspberry long island liter which was delicious! We didn't feel like wasting our time or money on dessert."

"This is a chain with locations throughout the US. I have been to others, and this one is similar. The food is good quality and the menu is current with food trends. I had the fish tacos, which were baja style and done well, if a little heavy on sauces (two different kinds). One dining companion had strict food requirements and asked for a lot of substitutions, and our waitress made it happen for him. The service was really great. I would highly recommend this restaurant for groups, or families."

"Houlihan's is a pleasant addition to the local restaurant scene. Having visited with large groups, including children, and as half of a couple I've experienced consistently excellent service. Neither I, nor any of my companions have every had a complaint or tasted anything we haven't loved. The menu offers a wide variety of options for the foodie, the vegetarian, and the casual diner. The prices range is more than reasonable. I often recommend Houlihan's to my friends and colleagues and look forward to sharing many meals with them here in the future."
