Excellent place just north of the town of Sonoma. Very well prepared food - we enjoyed the beef lettuce wraps and the chicken paillard, which they graciously split for two ladies. Nice wine list with some local finds, and yummy chocolate cream dessert!

Hot Box Grill was awesome! Excellent food & service ~ wonderful dining experience. Definitely will return however the only negative is it is quite small which makes the noise level extremely loud. We still enjoyed our dinner & would return...fyi $15 corkage fee which is not bad but not great.

The fried Cornish game hen was more the size of a chicken so the half portion was more than enough to feed two people. And the hanger steak was perfectly cooked with a large portion of duck fat fries. Food was excellent but service was distracted and abrupt.

You go here for one thing THE FOOD. Parmesan souffle fantastic way to start, followed by the "egg salad" which isn't anything like its namesake. The steak with duck fat fries, the fries are the best you will have anywhere. What takes the cake however is their take on Boston Cream Pie, you have to have it. It is more cream than cake with a very nice chocolate sauce, not frosting, covering the beauty and filling the rest of the plate!!! THE BEST! No kidding. Service was strange, but friendly. This was not our first time there and I can safely say everything on the menu is great, but it is not a large menu.

Our party of 4 showed up right on time for our 8:30 reservation and were immediately seated. Then we waited over 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table. Finally, when the guy with the bread showed up and we said no one had been here, he said "I guess I can take your order". Not a good start to a meal. The food was fine and the prices are reasonable but with all the restaurant choices in that area, I don't think we'll return.
