it never disappoints, octopus, salads and all. Small portions but just large enough to combine a bunch of them and not feeling like you had too much... savory, tasty and just right. Interior seating gets loud but suiting for energetic atmosphere, i favor the exterior for more intimate setting

I had a reservation Friday evening purposely asked for a table outside but I was refused, inside the restaurant it's so unbearably loud that it was an unpleasant experience. I don't particularly enjoy having to shout at the person sitting right next to me

The hostess, Benedetta, made our experience worth the trip from the other side of Los Angeles. She made it feel as if we were valued guests coming to her home. Food was fantastic and we ate on the terrace, which I would recommend.

Whoever even heard of an Italian restaurant that wouldn't serve a side order of spaghetti to a patron willing to pay for it?? How's that for stupidity and poor service!! Moreover, there was a 4 - 5 year-old child at a nearby table whose parents apparently taught her TO SCREAM when she wanted something. So, the child SCREAMED at every turn. The Management is so dumb that they did not even consider any of the other diners' complete discomfort from the SCREAMING; so no effort was made to even approach the parents. Don't waste your time and money. . .

Lunch on the patio under blue skies and with a light ocean breeze is pure delight. The special menu was well chosen with some true favorites of ours. The salads are fresh. The pastas are home made, with sauces that are irresistible. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The wine list has a great selection by the glass, and all the wines are fairly priced. The staff is well informed and could not be more pleasant. This restaurant is the true definition of a neighborhood gem.

The food is excellent at this Venice site as it is at the Santa Monica restaurant. Both are noisy but if you sit on the Venice patio it is an agreeable buzz instead of a din. The servers were helpful and pleasant. There are very interesting pizzas on the menu as well as good pasta and fish. I will definitely go back.

Not great. Food was mediocre. At 8 pm they ran out of the dessert we ordered and when I complained to the owner Christian ( I believe ) I got a sarcastic reply telling me they are known for this pizza and that gnocchi and he didn't know what to say and your dessert, sorry...in other words f...k you if you don't like it here. No grace, no care, just a defensive posture and he went on and on. I finally just shut down and listened to him talk about how great his restaurant was. Ok so I won't be coming back. I own a business and when I have a customer complain I take care of them and do what it takes to make them happy. Why be in the restaurant business and not care if your customer is happy?

We went to Hostaria del Piccolo Venice because of restuarant week, but it was way beyond our expectations. Our waitress spoke Italian and happily encouraged and helped my husband to practice his. She was great explaining the options for gluten free dining. We both has pizazz for our entrees and the food was out of this order. Everything was very fresh and delicious. My husband ended his meal with a moscato, which was as authentic as the ones you get at the end if a meal in Italy. Definitely check this place out!

We had an unbeatable Dine LA menu. Had very prompt service from start to finish. Their cocktails are not only some of the best on the west side — spicy and both sweet & savory — but also are really reasonably priced. I also noticed they have a great beer list, with some local options. The restaurant is beautiful and my friend and I were both so impressed in how tidy everything was. You can see the whole line, and even into their immaculate pantry. The chefs, front and center, were not rushing around, though it was very busy. We work in the industry and had never seen a kitchen and front of house work so well together! Like a fine tuned machine. Food was unbelievable. Delicious pizza, generous, fresh portions. My new fav. local hangout!

Carpaccio was very good, with the aioli mustard crime as opposed to simply Crudo. Excellent selection of pizzas. Could be a ibranr bar scene but I was there early in the evening. The tiranasme{not tiramisu} was superb, with a savorard creme and a light and airy cake in the interior. Service was excellent. I was happy to see a new restaurant scene on Rose Avenue in Venice.

We love this place. Totally contemporary, and the outdoor spaces are perfect for people watching in the good weather. We have tried many of the salads, pizzas and pastas. They are all delicious. The wine list is good and fairly priced. And the staff is knowledgeable about the wines and the food. What a great new addition to Rose Avenue!

Went there for brunch with GF. She ordered breakfast calzone and I ordered steak and eggs. She could see her calzone sitting for 10 minutes while my order got done. When calzone got to her cheese was already cold. My steak was good but it took the kitchen 3 trys to get eggs over easy done correctly. Management did nothing to fix the problem accept say sorry. Sticking with SM location.

I find the combinations of ingredients a fresh idea for Italian cuisine. Also very atypical Italian food choices offered. Yummiest Frico, Tuna Salad, grilled octopus, fresh fish, look at the way it's cook and that is the clincher. What you woyuld expect Italian Nouveau cuisine to be.

It was my first visit. Our lunch was at 1:30 on Saturday. I was quite busy and noisy. We had a table outside which was very nice. My husband had the octopus and loved it. He also had a pizza. I had soup and salad. The soup was so-so but the salad was good. Lightly dressed and fresh. The other two guests had pizzas which one enjoyed and one did not! I would go back to try the pasta. I would have liked more vegetarian options.

Food was great. Unfortunately restaurant is noisy (almost at Bestia level). We felt we were served fast, thus not a relaxing Sat night dinner considering we bought a bottle of wine. One male waiter bumped my chair every time he walked past was about to say something when the Bill arrived so couldn't be bothered. Went across the road to a great little wine bar and finished the evening off in excellent fashion.

We had been here before and returned looking for a really nice evening. Our table was fine, however there is a noise consideration. Sadly the story mirrored much of the reviews.Scalp While the Scallops appetizer was good, the main dishes we ordered, were disappointing I had a Squid pasta and the portion was so small, more like a mini portion. THat is really uncalled for as pasta is inexpensive for them and really it was like a few bites. That makes no sense The bill with no drinks came to $196 for three people. If the food had been great, no one would have cared but the value was simply not there.. We will not return
