  • "We were pleased to see that Horizons has not lost its touch after its recent move. For our dinners, we enjoyed the grouper -- very moist, with a pecan sauce -- more than the tuna (which was the light pink variety). But both were accompanied by the same delicious veggies. Only regret was that we did not have room for Courtney's amazing coconut bombe cake for dessert."

  • "Our table for five liked a lot about this restaurant, with one exception - the "Pecan Crusted Grouper with Mango Chutney" was a major disappointment. Not crusted with anything, just a few whole pecans with some type of sauce poured over a thin filet of sautéed fish that we were not even sure was grouper. The three remaining entrees were fine and several appetizer's determined top-notch."

I had the flounder and my husband had salmon. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. The soufle that topped off the meal was superb. We have already made plans to return for another wonderful meal."

  • "We went here for our 10 year anniversary and had a fantastic meal. They were very prompt in seating us. They have a great menu with a varied selection of entrées. The seared duck ravioli with fresh mozzarella apptizer was divine! We chose the specials and were so glad we did; his was a veal & shrimp marsala & mine was a blackened sea bass with yellow tomatoes....I knows brief and limited description isn't coming close to telling you how incredibly amazing our meal was! The creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert was one of the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Horizons is one of our favorite places to dine. The restaurant have recently moved to a new location and we were a little apprehensive about that. But the new place has so many great qualities about it that I think the move was for the best. The food is always outstanding, the service personal, and everyone so friendly. The outside dining isn't ready yet, but will be so pleasant when it is finished in a few weeks. By all means, give Horizons a try and you will be a regular too!"

  • "I wanted to take my wife out for dinner to a location we have never been to before. Heard good things about Horizons and decided to give it a try. Food was great. The four course meal provided plenty to eat....and I eat a lot. Service was good. They could use a full bar as they only offer beer and wine. A simple liqueur selection would suffice."

  • "We were escorted upstairs and were the only ones there for a while. It was kind of lonely there for a while. Used to a bit of noise etc in most restaurants. One server was upstairs but she disappeared quite a bit so candles weren't lit, brought our bottle of wine but no opener upstairs so she had to go down again. She was very sweet but not organized. I got my meal which was sautéed snapper in champagne sauce but the fish was blackened or Cajun flavored. I liked it but strange it was not sautéed as per menu. Too much sauce it was almost like soup. Menu did not explain too well. It was delicious but should have explained it better. My husband had the steak Diane and loved it."

  • "We wanted a "nice" place with what we knew would be excellent food.......We considered all the usual suspects there on the island; Brett's, Baxters, the Plantation, etc We settled on Horizons and were completely pleased, as usual. My wife had the citrus Flounder and I went with their ciopinno. She started with their mushroom and brie soup. Oh my goodness! It was superb. I wish it came in gallon buckets. We always recommend Horizons to our friends and will up the endorsement to "must go".."

  • "We had lunch on a Friday. I had the pulled pork wrap with apples and the soup of the day. The soup was excellent. The only possible negative about it was that it was served in a very narrow cup. The sandwich was not so great. The flavor of the pork was completely covered up by the taste of the BBQ sauce. It almost tasted like the pre-made stuff they sell in containers in the supermarket. The wrap became soggy quickly with all the sauce. The sandwich was served with sweet potato fries, which were good, but came out only slightly warm and became cold quickly. The coleslaw was cloyingly sweet with too much sauce… it was completely inedible. My friend had the open-faced BLT. Pretty, but a bit of a challenge to eat. Her fries were cold also."

The food was very good - wild mushroom & brie bisque, blue snapper from Hawaii with scollops, divine sauce & el dente' green beans; cioppino (sp?) with perfectly fresh seafood and fish; the wine by the glass - outstanding selections. We will return as there were several other memorable sounding dishes on the menu."
