Hopmonk TavernBeer in wine countryWhat we like about Hopmonk Tavern is their (a) dependably good food...nothing fancy but all tasty, (b) free corkage...so we can briing a bottle from our cellar to go with what we order and (c) the outdoor dining and entertainment. She had read the reservations. The location was very good for us. I have enjoyed Hop Monk before, the only problem I had this time was I was very hot. It was 90 degrees in Sebastopol that day.
The service was outstanding. I wish I could remember the name of the waiter. Our reservation name was Bill Howard. He kindly brought Bill two tasters of beer.
The food was very good. Problem was, I was so hot I didn't have the appetite for an entree.
Then Bill DeCarli came over at the end and was so conversational and kind to Bill. He had a wonderful experience even with his blindness.
