Diner Reviews
  • "The patio is nice at Honey Salt...Would definitely recommend since it's EXTREMELY noisy inside. My first experience at Honey was dining inside, Unfortunately, it was impossible for my husband and i to carry on a conversation with the acoustics. However, I really enjoyed the food. I've been a few other times, but decided to try dining outside and it's great if you aren't into loud restaurants."

  • "The only reason I rated the service fair is because our bus boy did a better job than the waiter. Our waiter was too busy taking care of Andre Agassi and his family. We were at the restaurant for over three hours."

  • "I had driven by a few times and thought it looked cute so decided to try it for dinner. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and louder too. Was a tad disappointed in their limited wine by the glass options but the food and service were outstanding. I had the scallops which might have been the best I've ever had. Their dessert menu looked fantastic but we did not try any of them. Will definitely go back."

  • "We had Saturday dinner reservations for 5:30PM to accomodate a production of Les Mis at the Summerlim Performing Arts Center. Originally we set up dinner for four. While travelling to the restaurant two more friends asked to join us. We checked in, asked for a larger table and were quickly seated. Just after being seated, two more friends showed up and we asked the host if we could take an adjacent table. They moved the table for us and our group quickly doubled in size. Honey Salt enjoys a bustling dinner trade that starts early in the evening and runs quite late. I was impressed by the reaction of staff and the quick desire to accomodate everyone. While this review doesn't touch on the fantastic food, rest assured it's an A+."

  • "There is something to be said for ambiance - and Honey Salt has it! I was staying at the Cosmpolitan and my cousin took me away from the strip to this little gem of a restaurant. Like I said, the ambiance makes you want to pull up a chair and stay all day. The food had a down home feel (in a good way)! Everyone was nice and friendly."

  • "The truffled grilled cheese and salad in a glass our 2 of my favorites! Service was great! When the server was busy the manager checked on us. We are locals and love it."

  • "Had lunch here and it was quite yummy. Had the fried chicken sandwich, it was cooked perfect, and had a dab of honey mustard on it. Fries were awesome. Came with a cup of ceasar salad that was crisp and fresh. Only complaint was service was slow. Took forever to get our food and twice as long to get the check."

  • "This was a 2014 Restaurant Week choice. Small and quaint, the seating is a little too close to comfort for my liking as I could clearly hear everyone's conversation around me. The staff was good even though they messed up my friend's order twice - the took it off the bill at the end. Their menu is small so if you area picky eater or have dietary restrictions you may not find something to eat here. I was ecstatic however that they had a Burrata Caprese Salad which is a rare find. Seemed like a good Happy Hour place for and less of a good restaurant choice."

  • "Haven't visited for a couple of months, glad to be back. Restaurant week menu was exceptional, delicious and a good value. Service, as always, friendly and professional. Still my favorite neighborhood place."

  • "The chicken was very good as was the salad, however, the star was the apple pie in a bag, so delicious! I don't trek out to Summerlin often but this was worth the drive."

  • "This is a WONDERFUL find in Summerlin. The décor is upscale & comfortable for sure (a bit girly maybe~) and the menu does change and has NEVER disappointed! Totally recommend Honey Salt ~ the location is in a strip mall (corner of Rampart & Ft Apache) so do not be put off by this."

  • "This is a wonderful neighborhood restuarant for well made and thoughtful food and friendly service. Standouts were the New England Fry with calamari and clams, slightly spicy, very yummy; Brown Paper Bag Apple Pie came piping hot from the oven with a side of rich, creamy vanilla ice cream, really hit the spot, again, you guessed it - yummy! Scallops were nice but not extraordinary and the brick ck was on the dry side. Bread basket and caasar salad were good. Overall, enough great things about this place to return and try more options."

  • "Waited to long for a table we made a reso at 8 we were not seated until 830. The hostess seemed like she did not have my reso when we first got there. The food was really good. I really enjoyed the apple pie it's a must. The sever totally forgot are side of Mac and Cheese. She was to busy telling us about her favorite the Brussels Sports. Great restaurant would go back."

  • "I dined at Honey Salt during Restaurant Week and found the food to be absolutely perfect considering it was one of its busiest days since their opening. Because of this, we had to wait a half hour past our reservation time; however, while waiting, we were rewarded with cocktails from the bar for our patience. Now that's looking out for your customers and making them happy. By all means, do not hesitate dining at Honey Salt... it's everything your expecting and more."

  • "We were there for lunch--it was very busy, quite noisy,--( our first visit.) The service was fine, but the menu was quite limited as to choices, we felt. However what we did order was good, very tasty, and well presented. I guess we were expecting a bit different-appearing interior from what we had been told about the place from friends who had dined there previously, so that may be the reason we were not too impressed overall. We might try it again, next time for dinner, just to see if our first impressions were faulty, as the food was excellent, and maybe the dinner menu is more expansive. Also, the Bloody Mary I ordered was nothing special, but cost $10.00 , which was excessive for a "bar vodka" drink, and not an exotic or call brand."

  • "My wife and I don't live in Summerlin (we live in Aliante). So, the drive to Honey Salt was about 40 minutes, but it was worth it. The food was very good. The service was good -- everyone was very attentive. We visited on a Sunday late morning, so it was bustling. We will visit again. In fact, my wife will take her parents there when they visit us in March 2014."

  • "We heard Honey Salt was a "dining experience we had to try" by a couple of our friends. However, we must have came on an off night because nothing we experienced was worth returning to experience again. The service was horrendous!! Our server took a while to take our order then after we ordered she didn't touch our table until our meals were complete. She didn't come back to check how our appetizer the Tuna Tartar was which really was the only item we had that was "Good" then when our meals came out my steak was over cooked. I mentioned this to the server that brought us our entrees and nothing happened. Our server nor a manager came over to assist us. My husband had the Mediterranean Sea Bass and said it was mediocre."

  • "Not sure where the name comes from, except they do serve a honey butter sprinkled lightly with black salt. We were there on Valentine's Day, so the menu was different than on a regular evening. Will try again!"

  • "Nice place. They do try hard. Very busy for lunch. Tables are close together, so very little privacy. In my mind, they fail to create the atmosphere of having friends into their home - unless it is a very busy one. Nice concept. Just try to not be in such a rush all the time..."

  • "A very nice setting and easy parking. The restaurant as well as the staff were inviting as we entered. The waiter was attentive without being pushy. The sea bass was quite tasty and the brick chicken was very good. We will definitely return to try more dishes."

  • "This was my first experience at this restaurant. My friend had lunched there previously. The waitstaff was excellent. We both ordered the short ribs with polenta and the two items were excellent. The two sides we ordered were okay but I would order something else next time. The chocolate coconut cake was a bit disappointing but the bread pudding was delicious. Conversation is difficult due to the noise level."

  • "Nice vibe, but the food is just okay, as was the service. The server seemed out of it, and completely overwrought...On a Wednesday. But, the restaurant is nice, the crowd is pleasing, and if you really don't care if your food has flavor, and want to go somewhere where you can see, and be seen, and laugh and have fun, you should try this place."

  • "Honey Salt has been a favorite of ours since it opened. The charm and style are so spirited, Warm and still current. The staff is generous as kind, very knowledgable and sweet. The food is always delightful. The menu has seasonal options, wonderful cozy options, extremely health conscious choices & always sumptuous desserts. I pop in for a green goddess on the go, have relaxed with girlfriends at brunch, great date nights with my honey and have had fabulous family evenings. The mood caters to whatever we are needing. Thank you, love what Honey Salt is doing, xxjen"

  • "We were staying on the Vegas strip and wanted to find an off strip restaurant that locals recommend. We found Honey Salt on Eater. Unfortunately we did not realize what an expensive cab ride it would be to the restaurant location! We can't blame the restaurant for that but wanted to warn others against it. However, it would have been worth it for a fabulous experience. We had a good experience, but not special. The food was good, some items, like the bread, quite excellent. But our appetizers arrived before our cocktails (really!) and our entrees were brought to the table while we were still eating the appetizers. We asked one staff member to call us a cab, and a different staff member sent the cab away, saying we had already left."

  • "Seated right away. I had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Delicious risotto. Wines were a good match and good value. My wife had the short ribs and is still talking about them. Her pumpkin spice dessert was terrific. Service was flawless. Only one minor gripe: the menu on the Open Table website is not the same as in the restaurant. We went there for the lamb porterhouse but it was not on the menu."

  • "Restaurant was nice inside - a nice place to take your wife and dine with friends. The food was good with an eclectic twist - had the turkey meatballs for appetizer. The desserts were great. The bar was sub-par. Ordered Kir Royale and the portions were off. I tried the drink that is similar to a Kir and it was too sweet for my taste. The waiter Casey was helpful - he selected a sensible and tasty bottle of red wine for us and he recommended my main course. Overall a good experience."

  • "Here is what I really enjoyed about it. 1- the ambience is so thoughtful, from the gorgeous antique chandeliers to the mix of classic and apholstered French bistro chairs. 2 - the portions were perfectly sized 3 - they offer a tasting menu for $40, so well priced! 4 - the dishes, the lighting, everything was done right. 5- only disappointment was the Brookie for dessert. The salted caramel ice cream was to die for, but the brownie portion was super hot and when it cooled down, hard as a brick...making me wonder if it was reheated in a microwave or something ridiculous."

  • "Second time to enjoy Sunday Brunch at Honey Salt. It didn't disappoint. So enjoyable we are coming back for dinner with friends this Friday. Great service, (my apologies for not recalling our severs name but she was perfect), combined with wonderful food in a casual, confortable environment. We live on the east side and rarely go to the west side but this is worth the trip."

  • "We ate here while in Las Vegas. I liked the homey décor, but it was dark and loud in the restaurant which made it difficult to talk or see. Our food was good and noticeably fresh. I had their popular scallop dish and I can't say that I enjoyed them, the flavour combination didn't meld for me. I did enjoy the bread and butter they serve. Also our waiter was very good. Everyone at the table remarked that their dishes were good but not memorable. I was hoping to really like this place but it fell a bit flat."

  • "My first visit here. I took my parents and we all loved the entire experience! Highly recommend the grain salad and the Brussel Sprouts! We need a Honey Salt in Henderson! For now I will make the drive."

  • "The place was packed for early Christmas Eve dining, and we felt as though we were in the middle of the traffic pattern yet almost on top of the table next to us at the same time, so there was no relaxing at all. But somehow we still enjoyed the food. The Tuscan cannellini bean soup reminded me of pasta fagiole, but maybe it really is the same, I don't know. I do know I thought it was good, though only lukewarm. I also liked the Caesar salad because the kale adds an additional texture to the romaine lettuce. I've had the short ribs before and always enjoyed them, but this time they were a little tasteless. The sauce on the turkey meatballs was a hit at our table. We like Honey Salt and will return."
