Hōm, celebrates simple farm-to-table cuisine and the growers and producers in our community who share the same passion for pairing locally farmed ingredients with dramatic flavors.
From bright and crispy to smoky and earthy, the tastes at Hōm draw inspiration from Wisconsin farmers markets, small growers, ranchers and local fishermen. In addition, the unique partnership between SURG Restaurant Group’s own Mike Polaski and his Hidden Creek Farms, located in New London, WI, is one more way Hōm can assure its diners the highest quality beef, pork and produce from pasture to presentation. “Locavores,” i.e. Wisconsin home-grown enthusiasts, micro-brew aficionados and anyone willing to catch a bit of Wisconsin sports fever for the evening are invited for a real, honest meal with a touch of elegance, in true SURG tradition.   • "We picked a great evening to sit outside on the patio facing Bluemound rd, service was great and the food was outstanding. We had 2 couples and we all ordered a fish entree - I had the salmon (my wife had the Walleye) - we shared and both were very good. The salmon comes with a tangy barbecue sauce that was excellent. We weren't sure what "hobo potatoes" were but they turned out to be great. The broccoli was really good - I am guessing it was blanched because it was the perfect combo of crisp and not over cooked. We will be back soon to try some of the other menu items - it looks like a lot of unique options. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something a little different."

  • "We loved it -- We did not have a lot of time so we just ordered salads and appetizers. The Shrimp and Grits and Dry Rub Chicken Wings were out of this world good. We will go back for them and try more dishes as well."

  • "I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and discovered Hom while browsing dinner possibilities on Open Table. We were not disappointed with the food selections -- all well prepared. We especially enjoyed the beer battered cheese curds and potato pancake. The beef stroganoff was memorable (we liked the added dill). The planked salmon, while not likely from Wisconsin, was delicious with the light addition of tomato sauce. We will be returning to Wisconsin frequently in the coming months, and will place Hom on our preferred dining list."

Hom gave us a special table that allowed us to talk with each other, including occasions to stand up and make speeches about our honored guest. Everyone loved their food choices from our vegetarians to the steak lovers. The staff was attentive making sure each guest had beverages and meals made to their satisfaction. Our server graciously took pictures so all of us could remember this special evening. I wish I could relive this wonderful night over again."

All of our meals were very excellent in taste and presentation. Plenty of food for a moderate price. The place seemed pretty popular, but we never felt rushed."

  • "The Shrimp and Grits are a must. We all agreed we could eat them as an app and as our meal. Pork chop& Pot Roast were fabulous. My friend wanted a little more sauce on the Walleye for the veggies. Salmon was tasty. Desserts amazing get the bread pudding."

  • "Amazing cheese curds! Burgers done properly! I like the locally sourced food concept. It was nice to be able to reserve a table outside, the patio set up did a decent job of blocking out a busy street behind us. The server was ok... I did appreciate that the manager stopped by, however it was a pretty surface-level check in. I did not appreciate the many minute monotone speech on the history of the concept. If you're passionate, I'll listen. If you've memorized a script, I tune out (which we both did, and clearly portrayed thru non verbals). When all is said and done, I will return. I would much rather patronize a Milwaukee restaurant group with locally sourced food than a national chain. (which is difficult to find in Brookfield!)"

  • "Two of us had the petit filet - both were great. One of us ordered the Tator Tot casserole - they first delivered the green bean casserole by mistake. They delivered the correct meal when the two of us were half way done with our meal - the person eating the casserole said it was too soggy. The tator tots were soggy and there was too much sauce - she didn't care for it. The server offered an apology for the incorrect item being served, but no other discount or free drink or dessert was offered."

  • "they had a new menu. no more corn bread before meal which they no longer serve with new menu. they messed up on 2 of our dinners. wasn't what we ordered. will not go back. this was our 2nd time, as our first time we had great food and service.   • "Fish has been fantastic every visit, although the recent menu change had one miss we thought. The walleye was delicate under the breading...breading way too heavy to enjoy the fish. But the trout was delicious and light with its orange marmalade sauce. The caesar salad was prepared traditionally with a hint of anchovy saltiness. The cheese tray had a great variety and the tator tots were yummy thanks to what i believe was gouda snuck in. Desserts are a bit of a miss, but you wont really want one after your outstanding meal."

  • "Hom is a relatively new addition to the growing Locavore movement in SE Wisconsin, specializing in the freshest ingredients for regional sources (many identified on the menu). Upon entering, you are greeted by re-sourced wood and a rolling door in the reception area/bar. There are rural pictures from WI on the walls, and the impression is comfortable and homey. The food is creative and very tasty, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. I had a pureed spinach/red pepper appetizer under puff pastry that was excellent, and the stuffed pepper (onions, mushrooms, cream sauce) on a bed of spicy barley was superb. They have a small but very well-chosen wine list (I especially liked the Sanford pinot noir). Definitely seek it out!"

  • "Nice summer night out with the girls and we dined on the patio. Food was good. My risotto was the weakest dish. It was a chef special and I thought very bland with a white fish that was tasteless. Other meals were great. But, what annoyed us all were the amount of flies around the patio. It was a small patio surrounded by nice decorative planters and flowers. I thought that they should have been able to do some preventative gardening to spray and manage. Summer is too short to dine inside when outside it is 80. Will give it another try."

  • "Went to Hom with my sister and 2 cousins. 1 of which was a real foodie. I had the caesar salad which was good but aside from the homemade dressing nothing unusual. My entree was the duck. This was cooked exquisitely and paired well with spinach and pureed celery root. Everyone else enjoyed their meal as much as I did. The bill for 6 people with drinks and appetizers was just about $300. So very reasonable."

  • "The people were great, friendly, prompt service. I love the outdoor patio idea, but it is so close to Bluemound Rd. that it can be noisy. The restaurant offers a great selection of wine and special cocktails. The food is the real issue, though. First, it is an expensive and limited ala carte menu. My husband's whitefish tasted more like smoked chub. The chicken in the entree I ordered was good enough, but it was served on a bed of some "fancy stuff" I can't pronounce and didn't care to eat. It was mushy, and I think it detracted from the taste rather than enhanced it. This isn't a fancy restaurant by style and atmosphere. It is comfortable and rustic, but it seems it is trying too hard NOT to be 8-12. That's the mistake."

  • "If your looking to do something special as I did this past week and come away extremely happy please go to HOM. The Staff was great and the Manager really cared about the quality of service we where recieving at our table. (Attention to detail makes you feel important )I started the night with a special bottle of Red Wine to go with my scallops as a appetizer and it was perfect. I chose the steak filet.(Awesome) my party order the lamb chops and said they were extremey satisfied. Was this CHEF on TV? Talk about the layout and presentation of the food was fantasctic. I knew it wasnt the booze that made me feel good about the food because when I had the desert (Fudge Brownie) it blew me away. A great time at a great place to call HOM e."

  • "Overall the food was good. I had the Pasta Special which was a Spinach Fettucini w/sauteed veggies & grilled shrimp. It was good but a bit too salty. Shrimp was excellent but the dish could have used some more veggies; pieces were very small and not very abundant. The Broccoli soup was good - very rich - but a bit bland. Service was outstanding and the outside patio was very pleasant"

We had a Fri. fish fry, and the 2 for $29.95 trout dinner that is so delicious I don't know if I will get to the rest of the menu. Wait staff is very friendly & efficient, just the right amount of attention. This will be our go to place close to home. Servings are just the right size."

  • "We've dined at every reincarnation of this restaurant location, and the menu and food quality slips a little lower with each one. The food was just ok - fish fry with almost tasteless fish, and an interesting-sounding spin on a potato pancake, but again, it was just ok. The dollop of apple butter garnishing the fish fry was truly the highlight of the meal. We originally planned on coming back with friends to try their $29.95 dinner for two special, but 2 of the 3 entrees available with the promotion aren't even regular menu items. The starter selection was either soup or salad. Again, no real opportunity to try out some of the more interesting items on the menu. And only 1 dessert choice?! No thanks!"

  • "The selection on the happy hour menu is pretty decent. We sat on the patio since it was a nice day and my husband and I each ordered what we though was a specialty cocktail but found out after it was brought to us that they actually weren't and were charged full price. It was our waiters first time working happy hour I guess. The drinks were worth the extra cost though. We ordered a few appetizers (chicken wings and cheese curds) and then later each ordered a burger and beer. Everything was very good. The burger was one of the best we have had in a long time. We really appreciated that everything was farm to table. The regular menu looks good too."
