"The food was fantastic. The service was a bit poor we had to ask twice for our waitress so we could order or get something to drink. Its not a large space so I'm not sure where she was hiding.

We were also seated next to a couple with a small child who kept reaching over to our table and pulling things off like my keys and my iPhone. At one point the child climbed on the table, there were other seats available we were about to ask to be moved when they left. They would've left sooner but they too had to request their waitress to get the check and then find her to have her run their card."

"Love the ambiance....with a masculine pub feel, its a great venue to have a beer, some oysters, or more. That said, I feel hog and rocks promises a bit more than it delivers, food wise and value wise. First, while there was one oyster special ($1 per was great) the other oysters on the menu were close to $4 a piece, which is pretty pricey. Second, the main courses were takes on comfort/pub food, and seemed overpriced and undersized for what they were. No great argument with the food....it was tasty, but not the best value. I will go back, but probably more to enjoy the ambiance with friends, and have a beer and apps."

"Our server, who I've now had twice, needs to find a new job. He forgot things multiple times and just generally wasn't the most friendly guy. I don't know if they're just understaffed for brunch or what the problem is."

"This is a decent place - definitely a Mission hipster hangout. We came here for brunch and the place was jumping. There was a lot of activity by the well-stocked bar (and it was only 11:30 A.M.). Anyway, the "hogs" plate was decent - cold cut hams from around the world - nothing great, but not the worse, either. The "rocks" was ok. I would say, though not a great value for what you get based on the bill."
