I had warned him there is little conversation to be made as it is always so noisy. The restaurant was unduly busy and we were seated in the beer garden which was probably better for us. I do wish before playing our National Anthem the band would announce it. Our food was fantastic. Some of us had the schnitzel and I had their salmon, which was great. Definitely recommend it for everyone. Not a kid friendly place. The Jaegermeister paddling was hilarious. Having been a frequent guest to the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, I found the experience very enjoyable.
The wait staff was incredible, the ambience was super, the food served quickly and was tasty and the music was great.

And feel free to do the shots at your own risk. They're great, but the serious paddling that the waitresses deliver with each one will encourage you to drink while standing up. The wait staff is friendly, and the energy level is driving by the boisterous band, at least, evenings (have not tried during the day). This is definitely a beer garden, with the menu to reflect the German culture. Do not expect a fine dining There was a German band playing and everyone was having fun. I had the chicken bratwurst which was excellent, good portion size and great flavor. Most of us ordered the dark beer, good flavor and not too heavy (for those not accustomed to dark beer). Now the two problems..... 3.50 for a root beer and it came in a small cafeteria style plastic cup..... Could've come in a stein for goodness sake. 13.50 for a pretzel? You gotta be kidding. The dark beer made me very happy as well.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA bit of Germany in Las VegasMy husband and I lived in Germany for 3.5 years and ate at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich several times, so we were quite eager to see how the one in Las Vegas would compare. While we both agreed that the one in Germany is better, it was fun to have a bit of German culture in the U.S. The seating in the main dining room is at long traditional tables that encourage you to interact with the other diners. The beer garden looked nice, but was not open the evening we were there. The beer is imported from Germany, so it is great but expensive! The food was good, but slightly Americanized. They had a featured band from Germany that really added to the fun; however, this restaurant is loud, so go to enjoy the atmosphere and not an intimate conversation!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMHaufbrau House is the BESTThis is a German Haufbrau House - so you sit on benches and join in a group of folks who you may not know and drink beer, sing songs and generally have fun. If you are not into meeting new folks or joining in a group activity (most of which you can do from the comfort of your seat) then this is not the place for you.
