Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & TavernAfter a 20+ year hiatus myAfter a 20+ year hiatus my husband and I returned to the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn. We enjoyed our dinner, server professional, pacing was appropriate, food tasty. Menu could be a bit more 'inventive', Took about 5 minutes after sitting at the bar to engage the bartenders but once we got their attention, service was prompt.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service always amazing.Food and service always amazing. A very special place for us.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen you are brought two glassesWhen you are brought two glasses of champagne right after being seated, because they knew of our anniversary, you have a feeling it may be the start of a great night. It was. Our appetizers, crab cakes and scallops were superb. The bacon jam on top of the scallops (which were the tenderest I've ever eaten) was to die for! Our entrees (filet mignon and a pork chop) were cooked exactly as we wished. We ordered desert( Tiramisu and a raspberry-rhubarb tart), but had to doggie-bag most of it because we were stuffed. The only drawback to an otherwise great experience was that the room we were seated in (The George Washington Room) was too dark in which to read the menu properly. After dinner, the maitre'de gave us a tour of the other rooms4/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
