"The staff was extremely accommodating and honored all requests of our party, even for items not on the menu. The service was professional. The food was delicious and while my husband could not order his first choice as they were out of it, his alternate choice was too his liking.
The desserts were outstanding."

"Very nice restaurant in a beautifully restored building built in the 1700's. Classic American dishes artfully presented. Spring menu includes prosciutto and artichoke heart, fennel and asparagus appetizers, many fish, pasta and steak selections. All good."

"Wonderful Sunday brunch is perfect for holidays and special occasions. We celebrated Easter here and recently had our daughter's bridal shower in one of several beautiful private rooms. In nice weather, lunch served on the patio is delightful!"

"Nice restaurant for special occasions, but starting to show some flaws. There was no bread served during dinner, which is a change from the past where there would be someone walking through the dining rooms offering a variety of selections during the meal. Cocktails had to be returned because they were very poorly made, despite specific requests about how to make them. Pasta appetizers were undercooked and tasted flat. A fish entree, which was a special for the evening, was not cooked properly. Desserts were mediocre. All of this would be a lot easier to accept if it weren't for the outrageously overpriced cost of the food here. This can be a pleasant spot, and the food is decent, but it is much too costly for regular visits."

"Excellent service and innovative entrees. Server was extremely accomodating to our 5 and 13 year old children, despite the faat that we were noticably underdressed. The renovated 1st floor dining room was stunning - warm and homey. Having dined at the Ho-Ho-Kus inn since the 1980's, I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements."

"Some of the meals came out cold and my dinner came out 30 minutes after everyone else recieved their dinner. Waiter didn't seem to care that he forgot to put in my order"
