  • "HH was super-especially since I coordinated a small luncheon birthday for my Dad's 75th from several states away! They made it perfect...private room, tables ready to go and made payment easy for me with the distance! I held my Mom's 70th there...great place! Book the private rooms!"

  • "There aren't many places in Fayetteville, NC that serve brunch, however this is one of the few and it is really pretty good. My son and I eat brunch at Hilltop at least twice a month"

  • "I am never disappointed with Sunday brunch at Hilltop. The variety of food means that you can have breakfast or lunch or both in one sitting. I especially like the Bananas Foster French toast and Eggs Benedict (with salmon). It is a good idea to make a reservation to ensure you don't have to wait."

  • "Fine dining combined with excellent service and elegant ambience has made this my favorite Fayetteville restaurant. On this visit the Chilean sea bass our server recommended was incredible, and the signature chicken dish was a big hit. We discovered a Catena Malbec that went well with all of our dinners, at a very affordable price. The creme brulee with berries for dessert was a perfect ending."

  • "Our waitress seemed not fully trained or very distracted. She left for long periods of time and the restaurant was not that busy. She forgot drink orders and did not ask if we wanted dessert. She just seemed not to be feeling well."

  • "Sat at a table with my lady's chair right by a gas heater. The shrimp and crab dip with homemade crackers was very good! My Girl ordered a chicken dish which took a long time. Chef came out to the table and said the chicken he had was overdone and it would take some time to cook some more. You will spend at least $50 per person."

  • "My wife and I had dinner at the Hilltop House this past weekend. The restaurant is very nice and the wait staff was very courteous. However, the food was sub par at best. I ordered the Filet Mignon cooked rare, and I was very excited to experience this $40 cut of meat, however I was severely disappointed when it arrived. My filet was overcooked, but the bigger issue was the quality of the meat, it tasted more like a cut of roast beef than a premium steak. Very disappointed!"

  • "The atmosphere was terrific and the staff greeted us with open arms. We wanted a quiet corner to talk and get to know each other and that was exactly what we got. The staff gave us the time and space we needed. Then once the meal came out WOW! I had the Salmon special and my date had the sea bass. Both meals awesome. Our waiter was perfect for what we needed, he didn't pester us or push us he was very understanding and awesome. We both said the meal, atmosphere and staff were all part of our first date and they didn't even know it. We had a great date and we won't forget the Hilltop. When we come back to town we will stop again and tell you our story."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal in a very quiet setting. The waitress asked as soon as she arrived if we were attending the theater that evening and ensured we met the call time. Having said that, the service wasn't as attentive as I would have expected. I had to ask for the salad and soup, and then a breadplate for my wife, after waiting a fair amount of time for both to arrive at the table. However, the meal was fantastic. It's a bit pricey, but we'll certainly return."

  • "We make it a point to try a different restaurant each month for our monthly luncheons and each year we do a dress up luncheon. This place fits the bill for cost, service, ambiance, and most of all great food. The food and service was beyond expectations, would sincerely consider returning next year and for other special occasions."

  • "Good date night find in Fayetteville. Meats were a limitless over cooked and house salad dressing was bland but otherwise flavors were outstanding, wine was phenomenal and the chocolate croissant bread pudding was out of this world scrumptious! Service was acceptable but not exceptional for built in gratuity at 20%."

  • "I went to Hilltop Restaurant according to my AAA Tour book that recommended it as a three star restaurant. I went into the restaurant for my first time not knowing what their signature dishes. After I ate there I still don't know their signature dishes. The interior of the restaurant is nice but not very quiet. I heard the conversations of two different groups of people that I really didn't want to hear. The food is okay but what you pay for the food it is not a very good investment. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the crab meat. It was very good. The service was mediocre at best. I ordered the chicken marsala and the bottom was overcooked and the sauce was overpowering. A two star restaurant is my rating for this place."

  • "Our dinner New Year's Eve was outstanding. Every dish was prepared exquisitely - shrimp bisque, salad, chateaubriand. The triple chocolate dessert with "croissant" (rather than bread) pudding was to die for."

  • "I noted on my reservation request that this was an anniversary lunch date, hoping that someone might mention something to my wife when we arrived. Instead, our table had a sign wishing us a happy anniversary and thanking us for celebrating the day there. Also, the table was covered with flower petals and a candle arrangement. A very nice touch that made our day even more special. Thanks for the thoughtfulness."

  • "I dined there on the 13th of Oct. as well & the entire experience was awesome. The staff was friendly & service was terrific. This time the wait staff was not as friendly and it seemed like the restaurant was short staffed. The chairs were too close together, as the people behind me kept bumping in to me so much that we actually pushed our table closer to the window. Thumbs down on this dining experience. :o("

  • "My guest and I needed to pass through Fayetteville and based on reviews I chose Hilltop. Good decision. We chose to sit on the small patio which was lit by little white lights and had a fountain. We enjoyed a bottle of Chardonnay off their reasonably priced wine list. The menu is not particularly French, more continental. But lots of good options. We both had the house salad that came with a tasty vinaigrette. My guest had the special, mussels. They were on the small side but enough to be filling for her. I opted for the chicken Marsala. It was lightly breaded with a delicious sauce. I asked for no potatoes and more vegetables. They were perfectly cooked al dente. Our server Candice was attentive. All in all we really enjoyed our dinner."
