We all ordered different meals and everyone of us considered their meal to be especially good. All the plates were nicely presented and the service was very attentive and pleasent. We often bike on the KVR to Hillside for an outdoor lunch. Again, these excursions have always been enjoyable."

  • "Our welcome at Hillside was was warm, the fire welcome in early spring as the sun shone brightly off the lake just below. Chef Rob Cordonier and his team hold nothing back; both visual presentations and flavours to die for. Great menu, take your pick, we sampled five plates of amazing food, my highlights? the melt in the mouth roasted scallops, and the lemon pudding cake paired with late harvest Kerner. We will be back, and we will take friends."

  • "Enjoyed a romantic anniversary dinner with my husband for the 2nd year in a row at Hillside; the first time we had beautiful weather and so very much enjoyed the upstairs patio where there's a great view of the lake, but unfortunately the second time it was raining and so the upstairs patio was closed. Nevertheless, enjoyed the locally grown/sourced menu selections and the wine! Went home with a case of Hillside's own 2012 K Rose :) Will definitely return!"

  • "We had a great evening and meal at Hillside. We went on a Tuesday and discovered the " 2 for $ 50" special. The staff was outstanding and the made the occasion truly "special""

  • "This was the second time we dined at Hillside. Two shared the 'Dinner for 2' and two the 'Octoberfest' plate. WOW! The choices on the 'for 2' were amazing...the carrot and apple soup was a spectacular appie, and the salad full of fruit, seeds and feta! Yummy! The Risotto was creamy, savory and topped with and array of fresh herbs seasonal yellow and orange beets! The savory german plate was filled with...what else...savory samples of pork accompanied by small spatleze. Our paired wine choices complimented each dish to perfection. We were the last guests to leave but never felt rushed, or pushed! Our server was attentive, informative, and intuitive! We will definitely keep this gourmet lovers mecca on our itinerary next time we visit! Bravo!"

  • "The Naramata Bench is a special place for vineyards, boutique wineries and spectacular scenery. But it is very short of good restaurants. We found only two for dinner and one for lunch that we would go back to, and it doesn't get much better in nearby Penticton. Consequently, we went back to the Hillside Bistro twice in a 4 night stay. The ambience is so-so, but someone in the kitchen has talent and the servers are good."

  • "We went with friends for a light dinner on Sunday night. Everything about the night was better than we expected. The wine list is short but the Cabernet Franc was perfect for our meals. We would definitely go again and we would recommend Hillside to our friends"
