Highlawn PavilionFantastic LunchThis restaurant was everything I could have hoped for. The indoors are beautiful with a very friendly bar atmosphere. The outdoors is outstanding with magnificent views. The food was so delicious, I had the cobb salad. Service was friendly and very good. With a beautiful view and wonderful service, any meal is a special occasion. The fillet mignon tasted delicious and melted in my mouth. My husband had the Bronzini kicked up a notch which was moist, tasty and spiced up just right. I had the cinnammon apple tart with vanilla ice cream for dessert which was light enough to balance the fillet, but satisfyingly delicious. This time, there was a wedding that was going on concurrently. The food this time was not as good and perhaps a result of the ongoing wedding. Our dishes were over cooked, and not as flavorful as they normally have been. But, it doesn't deter from everything else and our past experiences. The crab salad appetizer was little dull, but all of the fish and meat entrees were cooked perfectly and made with outstanding ingredients. Every dish from the seafood appetizer, the salad, to the entrees were picture perfect and taste perfect. We had one prawn entree, two sea-brass, and one filet mignon. Everyone loved their entree which were cooked perfectly, looked great, and tasted amazing. Desert was no exception. My boyfriend and I commented on how the food and service were better than some more expensively priced Michelin star restaurants in NYC. The location is also perfect for an after dinner stroll and view of New York City. Our waiter was attentive, personable, and experienced. From the valet to the maitre d, to the wait staff and ultimately the food, the expereince here was outstanding from start to finish. Since I was meeting a colleague to discuss business, I requested a quiet table with a view. This request was gracioulsy accommodated ("This table is a bit removed from the other diners but has an excellent view. Would it be appropriate?"). The food was delicious and well presented. Service was professional and deferential (I noted a few occassions where our waiter was clearly waiting for a pause in our business discussions before approaching the table).

The steaks are perfectly made. The shrimp coktail were a bit overcooked. The dessert was a bit sweet (lemon tart). There was a wedding upstairs and you could hear the music but I did not mind it. Went for lunch this week and it was wonderful. Initially I was disappointed that we didn't have a window table(party of 8) even though the restaurant was not at all crowded. They explained that only parties of 4 get window seats, parties of 6 in the middle and larger parties against the far wall. However, we had a square table which was perfect for us and those facing the wall had mirrors on the wall so they could enjoy the view from the mirrors also - so it worked out fine! I've been there for a private party in the lower level room which was very cozy. I've also had dinner in the dining room on a Saturday night - food great but the noise level was not!
