As typical in a resort restaurant used for conventions the drink and food prices were high. The food was at best mediocre and the wait staff overworked due to the crowds. The restaurant management team should review with the event planners to determine if the conferences have a dinner planned and if not plan on increasing their staffing levels. It took 20 minutes for our desserts to go to be delivered.

Horrible service. Cafeteria quality food at an upscale sports bar price. Half of the draft beers were unavailable for some reason. Overall a bad experience.

I got the Swiss Mushroom burger. It was great! The atmosphere was great with all the TVs showing different games. If staying at the World Center Marriott, this is a recommended place to eat.

  • Don't Eat here

First of all the service was poor and I don't fault the people waiting on the table - we ate there twice so I had a fair opportunity to evaluate. The waiters were forced to travel from the table area to the kitchen with written tickets... why not let the server complete the order from the table with RF technology? Food quality - not very good. Food was not terrible, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary. If I was not staying at the resort I would never eat here.

We had heard mixed reviews. Turned out to be a better experience than expected. We were seated right away. A special table with tv was reserved for us. Our server was kind and offered suggestions. The food was as good as you would get at a similar atmosphere. Nacho plate was big for all. Kids meal was like a large sized meal, Actually very tasty. Fruit and dessert were delicious. We recommend for if you are looking for a fun, relaxed place.

I had a late checkin to the hotel and called in advance to see if there would be food options at 12am in one of the hotel restaurants. I was told yes when I called and that food service would be open until 1am at High Velocity. When I arrived at 12am after making an OpenTable reservation for that time, I was informed that they were no longer serving food.

My group of 6 ate at Velocity two nights. We expected it to be loud. We did not expect having to wait 40 minutes for burgers and nachos. Wait staff came by right away for drink orders, but it took nearly 10 minutes to receive the drinks, then we were never asked if we wanted a second round (either night). There was no salt & pepper on the table, so we asked for some. We were told there was only 3 or 4 sets in the whole restaurant, so it may be awhile before they could find some. The waitress finally brought some when we were nearly finished with the meal, and then another waiter grabbed it for someone else before we had a chance to use it. Manager did not seem to care when we raised the issue. Food was good - just horrible service.

High Velocity is a sports bar with a TV at each table! We didn't have to beg someone to change to a venue we wanted to watch! Great appetizers (homemade salsa and guacomole) and the entrees were delish!

Cool place with a hip vibe to it. This is a sports bar with a lot of TV's going at the same time. Good for small groups. Food was just ok and the service was poor. It took along time for the staff to notice me and once they took my order, the brought out the wrong food item. This is a very nice hotel though.

  • Servicenwas good. The food

Servicenwas good. The food was average bar fare. I had a chicken Caesar salad and my boyfriend had the sofrito lime chicken. He said that it was good but it didn't taste very sofrito-y. On the other hand, the chicken nachos were phenomenal! If you're a Floridian then you'll understand when I say that they put ale house nachos to shame. Being a sports bar it was pretty awesome that they had tv's at every table with 10 or so sports channels. It was pretty neat. And two free pool tables at the back! Overal, we had a wonderful time and would return.
