High Resort was an excellent date idea. The tram has spectacular views and the restaurant sat us right next to a window so we could enjoy looking at the city and sunset at two miles high. No restaurant in Albuquerque can compete with those views. My girlfriend loved the surprise and dessert was one of the best we've had.

My wife and I went there to celebrate 10 years of marriage. The food is ordinary. Nothing special, but the tram ride, the hiking at the top and the views make it a dinner to remember. I would recommend going for the package, the dinner is just another (good) dinner.

The tram the view the sunset...amazing. High Finance you can do with out. The food was okay at best. My wife asked for med. Well it came out bleeding. I asked for medium and had to remove the hoof before I could eat it. We were one of 4 couples in restaurant at the time and I had to hunt down my waiter to get water and assistance with the food issues. Has the potential to be the best restaurant in Albuquerque, after a major over haul.

The service needs improvement. We waited a very long time for our drink order to be taken and then a long time for it to finally arrive. Once my drink arrived it had not been made properly. I had to send it back and it actually came back worse the second time. I didn't bother to send it back again. The waiter forgot that he had not yet taken our food order. He brought our appetizer/salad at the same time as our main course. I don't know what the restaurant is like at the bottom of the Tram but I recommend that you eat somewhere else and then just take the ride of the Tram afterwards. It runs late until around 10 pm.

The view from High Finance can't be matched. The restaurant sits atop Sandia Peak with views of the entire city of Albuquerque, the distant Santa Fe, Mount Taylor and the east mountains. The food is superbly prepared and the service is fast and friendly. We always treat our new visitors to the experience of the Tram flight and the fine dining!

I was visiting Albuquerque and decided to eat here since I wanted to ride the tram. The food was okay, I had the filet that was cooked to my specifications. The steamed veggies were not seasoned at all and neither was the risotto. The service was better than I expected despite the previous reviews on here. If you come here without high expectations you should be okay with what you get, although they could season their food properly.

Of course, the view is extraordinary. The steak was the best I ever had, but the vegetables were a disappointment. The green beans were too crunchy, but worse, had no flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, and the seasoning was superb. I had the blueberry/marzipan cake for dessert. It was excellent. My companion had the triple-chocolate cake. He thought it was so-so. The service could be better. It was adequate, but for these prices, it would have been better to see the waiter more often and to be fussed over more. Still, a lovely dinner and worth the effort and price.

Eating on a mountain top is the key to this restaurant. It is very nice that you get a tram discount with a dinner reservation. The food was ok, but not great. The bone in pork chop is a great option but the meat was over cooked and the . The filet was cooked to the proper temperature, but was of a poor quality and the reduction sauce was disappointing.

WoW! What an incredible experience. The semi-tour guide in the tram was fun and informative. Food was good, and the service was friendly. Most of all, however, are the views. Outstanding! The rain, hail, thunder, and lightening were an added bonus. Even waiting for the lightening to move on before being allowed to take the tram back down was adventurous. The experience was “one of a kind” and very unique.

Food is pricey for the quality, but good choices. The view is amazing. I've read reviews about the restrooms having standing water on the floor, but that was not our experience. We were very happy we took the tram and ate at this restaurant, although we think it could have a better name than "High Finance".

The food here was much better than I expected. The prices are steep, but so is the scenery! If you want to impress a date or spouse, this is the place to take them. This locale is the highest I have ever eaten a meal, being at 10,300 feet above sea level. When you are on an airliner, the cabin is at 5,800, and they don't serve meals like this anyway. It is truly a memorable experience, and one you will talk about for a long time.

Amazing views on the aerial tramway located adjacent to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It stretches from the northeast edge of the city to the crestline of the Sandia Mountains and it is North America's longest aerial tram. The High Finance Restaurant & Tavern is located near the top tram terminal; the highest full service restaurant in North America and a “must do” for the city lights and the sunsets are spectacular. We started with the calamari served with thai dipping sauce; I ordered the grilled salmon with risotto / vegetables and my fiance had the beef filet made to order with vegetables and a baked potato. The staff was attentive but this “dated” restaurant/bathroom needs a major overhaul. Not my style in décor but was adequate.

I've read reviews for this place and it seems like it's a "hit or miss" when it comes to both the food and service. We went in a Thursday evening for dinner. The tram tickets are half off if you made reservations. The server was great and so was the food. I have the salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Vthe rice pilaf was over cooked so it looked like sticky rice with a couple of pieces of mushrooms. My husband had the chicken parmesan on a bed of risotto. He liked it all. For dessert, we tried the raspberry and macadamia nut bread pudding. It tasted great.

The food was good not great. The service was friendly but not nothing special. Our waiter though extremely pleasant did not do a very good job. We had to ask for things that should have been a given. Like plates with our appetizer. Also no bread was served with the meal. Dessert was just ok. Honestly I was disappointed with the whole experience. We will not go back.

Price is up and quality is down did‘t use to be that way and mix drink seemed watered down,

I ordered a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. Two of the three medallions were raw in the middle. They were sent back at different times and I received each one back having been heated and covered with sauce. My friend had ravioli and it was served over greens. The greens had been taken from water and there was more than 1/2 a cup of water in the bowl. The water with the alfredo sauce made quite a mess. The ravioli were laid on top of the water and greens. I was embarrassed for the waiter who had to keep returning my raw food, but I was more embarrassed for the restaurant that there is not enough professionalism in the kitchen to recognize the lack of quality of their plates :( Tram $30, Dinner $100. Only down side, was clouds didn't know we had reservations for sunset dinner. Storms in the area made sunset difficult to see, however it was still a great view, and probably an awesome view without the haze. Would go back again if the opportunity presents itself. Thanks

I was very happy with our waiter however i was not impressed with the food. The appetizer took a while to come out but after it did it was only about 3 minutes later that the main course came out. This was not enough time at all to eat the appetizer. Our steaks were over cook and had a very burnt crisp appearance. After spending $30 for the tram just to get there and it being so over crowded I dont know that i would return again.

The Prime Rib and New York Strip meals were outstanding. A red wine was offered as a special price and was good choice, but not served at the proper temperature (too warm). Initial seating was at table next to the stairway to restrooms and servers frequently passed by. Asked to be moved to another table. The second table was very wobbly and the server had to correct the problem. Not off to a good start. However, once those issues were corrected, the dining experience was enjoyable with good service a delicious food. View is spectacular with ride up to the restaurant on the cable car. This is our second visit and would return again.
