"We've eaten at Hickock's several times. We like the atomosphere, and they have a good variety of menu items. We usually rely on the burgers. I like the fact that they bring a complementary basket of chips and salsa to the table. I highly recommend the queso dip."

"Hickok's is a place I'd been to before and was happy to return. This place takes advantage of the building's history and it's location in the heart of the River Market and provides great ambience. I highly recommend the BLT. One of the best in town."

"We used to love Hickok's - went there every month for a meeting. Last two times we've been service has been abysmal. Food doesn't come out at the same time, the servers are sweet but disorganized and, amazingly, there was a 35 minute wait for our drink order. After our first bad experience I chalked it up to a bad night and emailed the manager. No reply. No idea what has happened to turn the place 180 degrees but I'm really disappointed."

"We decided to go here because it was one of the few places that wasn't all booked up for NYE. The food was surprisingly very good. Since it was a bar/grill type atmosphere I didn't expect the food to be that good. The ahi-tuna nachos (not sure if this is the correct name) were awesome as well as the fedora salad. The main course was a surf n turf dish which was a filet mignon and shrimp/scallops on skewers. And although, the waitress didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked, it was re-cooked to my desired temperature. I would definitely come back again."

"Hickok's has a charming interior & was much larger than anticipated. It'd be great for groups that don't mind a louder setting. We were there on Friday & had the fish & chips special & the goat cheese dip--both were good. The menu is diverse & there are several small plates or entrees to choose from. However, our service wasn't very good. They seemed short staffed because the person who greeted us at the door also turned out to be our waiter. He took our order, brought our food & disappeared the rest of the time we were there. We had to flag him down to get our check. Overall, it was a so-so experience. That being said, we will go back again because I think you should give most places at least 2 opportunities to get it right."
