The room is pretty small so if all the tables are full, it can be a little more loud then you would think such a prestigious restaurant would be. They have a great wine list and can do pairings for the courses. The desserts were amazing and had a "spring theme" to them where it appeared that little dew drops and sprouting plants were coming out of them. plus two glasses of champagne to start and two coffees. The total with tip was around $500, which is what I would expect to
pay in a four-star restaurant in Boston. We sat outdoors on the lovely terrace, overlooking beautiful grounds. Our only complaints were no espresso, and one could not order oysters on the half shell unless the entire table had the tasting menu. The 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing runs $150 per person before tip. The amuse bouche and 3 of 5 courses were exquisite and unparalleled anywhere. Flavors were delicate, exciting and unexpected. 2 courses were disappointing - tilefish was overcooked and jasmine cake was over crusted with sugar and unintegrated molecular gastronomy flourishes. Would definitely try again anyway to see what else they can do.
