Open table did not reflect
Heritage India to be closed on Sunday at the Pennsylvania location and allowed me to make a reservation for 10 people. When we arrived, it was not open and we were forced to relocate to the other location which cause some people to leave and not come due to time, parking, or various other reasons. Open table should probably remove the options for reservations on days they aren't available."

I showed up and there was no one
there to check in with. There was a bouncer for the club - since the place is really a night club and not a restaurant. The bouncer went looking for the owner who never appeared. After waiting for 10 minutes, I left."

The restaurant's ambience is very
nice. There are some beautiful pictures of royal India which the server said were from the owner's personal collection -- very tastefully framed, unlike the garish ambience of most Indian restaurants. The server was very personable and conscientious. However, the food left a lot to be desired. I first ordered the papri chat -- but, the papris were stale and cold. I didn't want to be *that* diner, so I didn't complain. I ordered the paneer makhani combo for an entree -- and it quite frankly tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with mozzarella cubes thrown in. The dal was insipid and lacked salt, and spinach saag lacked taste. My colleagues could tell that I was annoyed. The nan, however, was good."

We had a reservation at the fancy
upscale pace across the street after a local lecture. It was packed & a crowd was waiting. Then we found out I'd made a mistake and the reservation was for the wrong night! It would be a 30 minute wait. We live in annapolis, so that 30 minutes means getting home very late. So, we left, got out the phone and found HI across the street. We were seated immediately and only a few tables were full, normally a bad sign. But, the service was fast & friendly, and the food was fresh and spicy! Perfect a a cold night. Really enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, lamb chops, and lamb vindaloo. Good meal, excellent prices. Why so empty at 9:00?"

I took my team there for a holiday
luncheon...the good and service were excellent. The Pakoras and Samosas we ordered as appetizers were delicious !!!! The buffet was varied and the found was consistently good and hot. Service was attentive but not overbearing, and they let us do a gift exchange after lunch without making us feel rushed to give up the table. I would definitely go back and try items off the menu."

Excellent food, served
immaculately by subtle waiters. Convivial atmosphere lent itself perfectly to an awesome night out for my alumni group. Looking forward to the next time we come here."

I had made a reservation for a
group at this restaurant for a birthday celebration, only to arrive and find that it is connected to a loud bar that was overflowing with a partying happy hour crowd. The noise was deafening and, rather than attempt to dine amidst the noise, we left. This restaurant should clearly state on their website that it is primarily a loud nightclub type establishment on a Friday evening and is not conducive to dining."

I have only eaten lunch here but
would continue to do so and have it be one of my favorite spots for those who like Indian food. The lunch buffet is very reasonably priced and the quality of the food is outstanding. If you like Indian food this is a must try restaurant."
